This.
Over all pretty meh. Rasputin and silent fight were the best parts. I think I kept watching only because I was intrigued by the historical tie ins.
I really hope that the end credit scene isn't a precursor of the next installment, if there is one. Keep it modern, action based and fun to watch (ex. Elton John cameo).
I watched it last night and enjoyed it. Not his best but still very entertaining.
Honestly I want to go back and rewatch it - like all of his films there is so much going on and so many subtleties that I'm sure it will take more than one viewing to get them all.
I watched it last night on HBO Max because I couldn't wait, scheduled to see in IMAX next weekend.
I enjoyed it and am very glad they appear to be green lighting the next installment.
I will say if I was new to the series the lack of narration would have made following somewhat confusing.
I read his first book when it came out, even read and enjoyed his fiction stuff and enjoyed all of his shows. Although I new I would never agree with his politics he always seemed like someone you could have a beer with. I'm in on the movie.
Just finished The Outpost (bought it on Amazon but you can rent it as well). Based on true story of the Battle of Kamdesh in Afghanistan. Very well done movie considering non "name" stars in it and an amazing story.
Eastwood's son sounds exactly like him at times, spooky.
Yes.
Without all the background story of the charterers the movie wont make a lot of sense.
Easy solution though - re-watch the series with the wife then watch the movie - win & win.
