  2. yeah but what if he’s matt birk?
  3. harvard?
  4. it just means more.
  5. no love for fury road? it was pretty good, as far as quasi-redemption stories set in post-apocalyptic desert wastelands go.
  6. I think it’s too odd to be depressing. It’s an interesting premise, I’ll give them that.
  7. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQsS_qOEU5n/ that’s some live action
  8. I don’t think anyone here doubts your experience with mental illness.
  9. kramer’s delivery of that line will always have me laughing.
  10. motto? I’m sure most of us played some high school football at least.
  11. this has to be a bit of yours. if you’re posting this shit ironically it actually might be kind of funny.
  12. I think derka just explained his opinion poorly. I agree with him that once someone has resolved to do it, has a means to do it, and will get it done in short order that no, emotional appeals from loved ones do not make much of a difference. zero percent? probably debatable. now, maintaining communication with and actively making an effort to check in on people that you know may be struggling absolutely makes a difference. if he thinks that does nothing then he is mistaken.
  13. no joke. honestly hard to tell what that guy even does around here.
  14. post some more comic strips, guy.
  15. when it comes to suicide and mental illness I've always felt like marty bach in michael clayton explains it about as well as anyone I've ever seen.
  16. get fucked, asshole. if this were a game week he would still be alive. period.
  17. too little is known about CTE to draw any significant conclusions from any studies currently available. for the most part it's only looked for in former athletes but it has been found in people who have never played contact sports in their life. it could be a physiological process that occurs with aging. it could be largely asymptomatic. while there is some data it comes from an extremely narrow subset of the population; >99.99% of the time when people pass away they aren't checking for CTE post mortem.
  18. you're basically making an argument against yourself here. the guy had a history of mental illness.
  19. hey, you know, some of us are idiots, and nobody's holding that against you.
