  1. I've been reading a good bit of Hunter S. Thompson lately and one of his stories was on Ali. Hunter and Ali spent a good bit of time together working on the interview/story and Ali had high praise for Spinks. Leon was an unstoppable force. His relentless attacking style was just too much the first time they met. Ali's rope=a-dope wasn't tiring Leon out and Ali admitted that he himself was not in good condition for the fight and had underestimated Spinks. Helluva boxer in his day and I'm not aware of any negative stories on his character. RIP Champ.
  2. Bought a used Nikon 300mm f4D. Getting a 1.7 tc to go with it. Threw some sunflower seeds out by the pool and waited.
  3. Yep. It's one of them semi-robotic relationships.
  4. This is a fragment of a conversation I hear between my brothers anytime they're together. Only they don't ask me where I'm going 'cause they're too deep off into it to notice I'm leaving.
  5. My son's snatch host belongs to one of them crazy hillbilly sects. She took the grandkids to Kentucky to see something like that one summer, or it might have been that place. Some vacation, bet they couldn't wait to git home and tell all their friends. Oh hell, who am I kidding, kids like that don't have friends. Just mud, anger and starving animals.
  6. @ROFL BOX Texas Appaloosa Horse Club "WinterNational" event is coming up on the 19th at Extraco in Waco. Link to showbill - https://www.texasaphc.com/shows.html#/
  7. My phone hangs on the wall, the way God and Alexander Bell intended.
  8. I've GOT to upload my picture!
  9. I HEARD ABOUT THIS. MY NEIGHBOR TOLD ME. VERY HUSH HUSH.
  10. Not a good photo in and of itself but thought I'd post it anyway. The zoo tries to maximize the relatively small footprint that they have so they will frequently combine compatible animals in a single exhibit. In with the giraffes are some Greater Kudus and a couple of African Crowned Cranes. The zoo had 3 kudus a year ago, one male and two female. Then the male got sick and died. Not long after during a routine exam it was discovered that he'd left a progeny behind to carry on in his place. Baby kudu was born months ago but was just put on exhibit recently. I was taking pictures and was not prepared for what happened. The little scamp decided to gallop! You don't see much of that in a zoo. Most of the animals just kinda loaf around and the most excited they get is at feeding times. So out of the blue this little bugger goes bolting across the plains. I pretty much missed the shot due to slow shutter speed and not having a faster focus finger but whatever, baby kudu. Saved me the price of a trip to Afria.
  11. I bought a $400 dye based Epson inkjet printer last year and have been playing with it some. Bought some sample packs of Red River papers and tried most of the Epson papers. I've found several I like and though they're not "fine art" papers some are pretty hefty and have very nice finish qualities. Holding a print is, to me, when a photo is finished. Word of caution; ink ain't cheap, lol. Whatever, that's just part of having a hobby.
  12. That game was like my sex life, over in 3 minutes.
  13. The wall full of spike racks should be evidence of something.
  14. I remember a sky a bit like that in '99 just before the Cash America building had all of its windows blown out.
  15. Make it 2 hour time limit. Notification at top of site when a battle is happening.
  16. No words suffice. I'm terribly sorry to hear about Clark and am praying for your family pc horn. 5 years ago yesterday I took a drink. 5 years ago today I did not.
  17. That's how it is with plants, at least in my experience. You try something and for whatever reason, pH, Kh, whatever... some plants just don't do well together so you stick with what works and try to find something compatible for your particular chemistry. whacked my ginormous sword plant down to nothing yesterday. Mostly out of boredom. I kind of like all the open space now and may do a minor rearrangement soon.
  18. This is what 10+ months of COVID compelled solitary confinement looks like.
  19. Think he might have been talking about sanctions being waived.
  20. I don't think they've said, I just assume COVID. edit: Old, now with moar slow
  21. How 'bout that Baylor? When you share the ball you score points. I think they've had an assist on probably 9 out of the last 10 buckets while they've been on this run.
  22. A little success breeds confidence and your guys are looking confident. Let's see if Baylor has an answer on the road.
