  1. Anthropology Museum Hook ‘Em
  2. Will do. Taking the espina negra (I do believe available in the U.S. as well) and cuero viejo home; the Sinai is for sipping here straight and in cocktails (bought fresh grapefruit and lime/cucumber juices for mixers). Grapefruit must be in season, heavy smell in the fruit section…smells freakin’ awesome.
  3. Well, Benito Juarez airport didn’t kill me…yet
  4. @GreenspointTexas just got back from Mismezcales, had to work for it. Was closed when we got there and couldn’t get phone, text or WhatsApp to work. But here is what I pulled the trigger on…
  5. A new airport outside of Mexico City just opened up, but none of the U.S. based carriers want to go there. The airport is way outside the City center, and public transportation out that way is reported to be inadequate. Only 16 flights operate out of the airport each day, all but one in country. Chilangos, gringos and in-country citizens don’t seem to be demanding to use the new airport. And apparently quite the controversy.
  6. @BurdineBanditGlad you enjoyed your trip and especially to Mictlan. I may have to try to influence my travel companion to go there instead of La Gruta. I'm a little hesitant to do so because I've planned almost the whole itinerary except Museo de Arte Moderno and La Gruta. mi viaje empieza el jueves hermanos...
  7. Ha! Thanks, looking for something I can't get in the U.S., not too herbal tasting. Went to Oaxaca last November, didn't know shit about mezcal (still don't); had a mezcal tasting outside Teotitlan del Valle when our driver took us by a palenque. Bought a bottle to take home, but turns out it wasn't in the sweet spot of alcohol percentage. It wasn't bad though.
  8. So @GreenspointTexas, heading to CDMX soon, will try to hit up Mis Mezcales. Any mezcal recommendations?
  9. Same highway, 2019 by Delores CO; large boulder the size of a... large boulder.
  10. That's a remote. He's watching The Gorilla Channel.
  11. I’ve never been there, but we are going to La Gruta after the pyramids. It appears to have the largest and most spectacular caves, but it’s also looks like the most touristy. There’s other cavelike restaurants in the area that I’d rather go to, like Mictlán; they are smaller, but not quite as touristy. La Caverna is another restaurant in the area.
  12. Finally found out what is going on at the zócalo…a life size replica of the Sistine Chapel. Tickets are free, May have to check it out. https://sixtinaenmexico.com
  13. Maybe he shouldn’t have invaded Poland.
  14. and if Apple came out with a confederate flag emoji, it would not spark any outrage with Fox.
  15. Wow, glad this was brought up. I leave for CDMX in a couple of weeks and I was thinking you had to test within 72 hours (like we did in Oaxaca last November). As we are coming back to US on a Monday, there are less labs open on Sunday, so I thought that complicated things. Turns out you can buy a test before you leave the US and do the test through one of the partners associated with the airline the day before departure.
  16. @SimonBolivar Thanks for the pics. So what’s going on at the zócalo? Video from webcamsdemexico.com shows the zócalo closed with a temporary building and tent erected across from the cathedral. Is it some sort of Easter thing?
