  1. Always wondered what happened to Listeater, now I know.
  2. And… picked this up earlier this week. I’ve tried a cheaper Del Maguey (Vida) variety at a local restaurant and it’s not bad. Anxious to try this variety out.
  3. Trying to make up for my lack of mezcal reviews, I really appreciate all of y’all’s… Finally got around to trying the Cuero Viejo that I bought in CDMX last year, was waiting for a special occasion. It’s really nice, clean but complex if that makes any sense. Distilled in Durango, instead of Oaxaca where most mezcal is distilled. Recommend if you are around the Roma Sur neighborhood in CDMX and can stop by MisMezcales.
  4. Thanks for the link Greenspoint, this confirms what I’ve suspected (and been pointed out to me, including you) that there is a lot of additives out there in the US tequila world. Was at a bar last year and wanted a nice shot of mezcal or tequila. They didn’t have any mezcal and not much of a tequila selection. They recommended Casamigos, the one George Clooney is part owner of. So I violated my own rule of not drinking celebrity booze and had a shot. It was dark and tasted sickly sweet. So I’ve been leery of a lot of tequila brands since then.
  5. That's a fancy box!

  8. OK Lauren, why don’t you introduce a bill withdrawing all foreign aid to Israel, see how that goes.
  9. It’s almost like he knew his text would likely be subpoenaed.
  10. 3:20 is too short; you can work with a 7:25 layover. Long day though...
  11. @Doc Daneeka might want to check out this YouTube Video
  12. Depending on when you arrive (non-rush hour hopefully), there are some options for food nearby. I've never eaten close to Benito Juarez but IIRC, I read about a few viable options. While Uber is a definite player in CDMX, I don't know that they are allowed close to the terminal to pick up passengers. (I would definitely use Uber on the way back to the airport). And the Metro is awesome to get around CDMX although it's a fair little hike from the international terminal to the first station. You're probably a good 35 minutes or more car ride to a fashionable neighborhood (I think Roma Norte would be the closest), but there are more humble neighborhoods close to the airport. Metro into the central downtown area could be quicker but can get very crowded. And I would want at least 2 hours at the airport to check-in, clear customs again and go thru security. Mexico City is awesome; I'm thinking of getting back there for a long weekend this year.
  13. Hey, he made the trains run on time!
  14. Whoever aggy ends up hiring, they will spin the eventual hire as their first choice all along.

  16. Would not, but I’m apparently in the minority.

  18. She’ll pull her weight with the farm chores.
  19. I think it's more sinister than that. I think the ruskies have bought and/or blackmailed a shit ton of Republican politicians (Trump/Graham/Santos, etc.) and conservative commentators (Tucker). And maybe Elon Musk too.
  20. Wonder if any of those coaches he bitched out for whipping their asses knew who he was?
  21. Well if you believe one of his attorneys (yeah, I know), he’s crushing it.
  22. ...of love.
