  1. Matt Nagy was the head coach when Chicago hired Jackson as a defensive analyst and then as an assistant WR coach - Mike Furrey was the WR coach. I'm assuming Nagy is the one who recommended Jackson to Pederson (Nagy and Pederson both worked under Andy Reid). I don't know if any of those three have a relationship with Sark - but I have to believe this interview/hire is based on a recommendation from someone Sark trusts.
  2. Jackson would certainly be an indicator hire and tell whether or not Sark can identify coaching talent and if he has a network of people that he can/should trust. Because that resume is real damn thin. Although I do appreciate that he grinded out a 'star' career in the Arena League after a few season of bouncing around the NFL.
  3. Big ups to all the ballers making Texas the leader in NIL. Seriously - appreciate all that you guys have done to organize and contribute.
  4. Jeff Banks was on the Washington State team with Chris Jackson 96-97. So there is a connection to the current staff.
  5. Gerry (IT) had this to say in response to questions about Chris Jackson and the 'unknown' in regards to his recruiting:
  6. Interesting prospect. Had 525 yards and 6 TDs on only 18 catches for Louisville in 2021 for a ridiculous 29.2 yards per reception. Transferred to Alabama in 2022, was injured most of the year, and ended the season with only 2 catches.
  7. Wells confirmed this is indeed a PWO.
  8. Adam Henry makes 500k at Indiana. Joel Filani makes 240k at Washington State.
  9. Bobby (IT) just put out an article about the WR coach candidates. He says these are the 4 candidates Inside Texas is aware of: Adam Henry WR coach & co-OC at Indiana. Long-time NFL assistant, spent time with the Dallas Cowboys. WR coach & co-OC at LSU during Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry days. Joel Filani WR coach at WSU, previously at Tech. He is a former Texas Tech star. Filani was in Austin earlier this week, according to a source. Chris Jackson WR coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Played juco ball for Orange Coast Community College at the same time Sark was playing QB for neighboring El Camino CC. Jackson played for Washington State, five years in the NFL, and then 11 more in the Arena League (with one season stop in the CFL). Least experienced coach of this bunch with only a few years coaching experience. Dallas Baker Baylor WR coach. Baker played his college ball at Florida and is from New Smyrna Beach. He played three years in the NFL and had previous stops as receivers coach at Marshall and Buffalo. Bobby said the two biggest things Sark is looking for is someone who can 'be a technician' - wants a more polished WR room. But also needs to be able to handle the attitudes and egos of a very diverse WR room. NIL has made this doubly important. Bobby said Keary Colbert and Holmon Wiggins had previously been considered. *Just Wikipedia scouting - Adam Henry appears to have the best resume overall. He's also the oldest and recruiting might be a question mark. Chris Jackson is intriguing - long time professional player who made several Arena League All-Pro teams but is incredibly light on actual coaching experience - and recruiting is a complete unknown. Is he going to want to put in the time required to be a recruiter?
  10. Yes, he was Mississippi St's WR4 last season.
  11. A lot of 'name' potential with this one:
  12. Was on staff at UNT with Tashard Choice for a couple of years.
  13. Matt Rhule understands that he needs to be able to recruit Texas for any chance of success at Nebraska.
  14. Oklahoma St continues to free fall.
  15. I don't believe so. Sark wanted Wiggins on his initial staff but Saban wasn't going to allow his entire offensive staff to be off to Texas in one off-season so Wiggins was given the Assistant Head Coach title and a pay raise. At least that's how I remember it now.
  16. Anyone else having an issue where only about half the clickable links on the site work? I've tried both Chrome and Edge and rebooted and still having issues. As an example 'Baseball' and 'Other Sports' are the only clickable forum links at the top of the page.
  17. Jeremy Clark confirms the poster reporting it is in the know - so it looks like Hudson is available if we want to pursue. Seems doubtful he’s looking to go to ASU.
  18. Caught 14 balls this season. Not sure what expectations were but that seems like reasonable production given the veteran nature of that team.
  19. Nahlin (IT) says Wiggins is weighing his options and that he wants a chance to be an OC.
  20. I don't know if anyone here has a TFB sub - but this was posted on another site:
