  1. I came to post that I know nothing about the stock market. Not even the most basic.... if the world economy completely stops, stocks go down. If the economy is good, stocks go up. I know nothing. Not a damn thing. I will never believe I know even the most basic fundamentals of how it works. Not now, not ever. I did change my 401k in March to 75/25 stocks bond from 30/70. But I didn't put in my main money market account . I am a bit frustrated to day the least.
  2. My experience is self or self plus spouse or self plus kids is manageable. But family insurance premiums are normally a kick in the teeth
  3. Should really be including what the deductible and coinsurance is at the least. My family has uhc insurance and I pay 206 per biweekly pay period for medical dental and vision for all of us. I consider myself lucky. We have a hsa eligible plan and I think our deductible is 3000 coinsurance 80/20 with max oop 6000 - 7500 per year. I dont have the numbers in front of me. I can also lower that premium to 150 per pay period if we get labs done etc yearly.
  4. She has a big forehead. It's too big for her body.
  5. My covid bucket list would be Go to a Rangers game Go to a Mavs game Go to a cowboys game Go to our favorite italian restaurant Go to our favorite seafood restaurant Go to our cabo resort
  6. The markets had already priced this in.
  7. Thanks I'll keep checking there
  8. I've been checking everyday for mine. Still nothing. When does denton county mail theirs out. My half ass searches have produced nothing.
  9. Flower mound. We have her come once every 2 weeks for 70 each time. Sorry I was putting everything as weekly.
  10. Approximate family Savings / week - Maid - $35 Gas - $10 Eating out for lunch - $70 Eating out for weekend meals - $20 ( We continue to pick up curbside on our favorite spots, just not as often) Misc: Trips to dept stores, toy stores, movies, haircuts etc - $75 ( My wife cant spend all of our/her money now. She told me yesterday she finally paid off her CC and wants to start saving and finally contribute to her 401k. I didnt know she had a balance......) Extra spending / week - Groceries - $25 (This isnt as much as we thought as we are strategically buying more and only buying the stuff we need.) Utilities - $5-10 (This wont be much as wife has WFH for 7 years)
  11. Im sorry but this is a Surly post of the year candidate. My only caveat being you dont actually kill anyone
  12. My wife and her fresh produce . She eats top of the line food and will not eat from a can. Dont judge. I put my foot down when I told her no more than once a week. She was going 3-4 times a week up until mid February. If it were just my son and I we could go 6 weeks at a time if we wanted. My wife is also not taking this crisis well. She is an extrovert and is going crazy not being able to leave the house. My son and I havent batted an eye. We were born for situations like this.
  13. I'm not giving you advice but we have made the decision to go once a week to the grocery store. No more no less. Wear a mask. Wear gloves . Social distance. Have common sense . If you are about to go down an aisle and Joe Bob is hacking away at the cheese it section just turn right around and keep shopping . Go during the week preferably early in the am on days where anyone can enter. Ie not on days when its elderly only. Just be smart and your odds of catching it are extremely low if you take the necessary precautions. Edit: We also leave our shoes in the garage and immediately change clothes when we get home. We wipe down all items and wash our hands thoroughly after.
  14. I have been wondering about this. With so many more people becoming temporary germaphobes, will the significant decrease in typical US pneumonia deaths offset the covid deaths? I want to see the total US deaths caused by pneumonia in any given year and compare that to 2020 deaths caused by the total of typical pneumonia + atypical pneumonia + Covid 19 and see how they compare.
  15. People die every day. I dont care one way or another that she died. I do care about how many others this woman infected over the last 4 weeks. I bet those people she infected along with their families care as well.
  16. Man Id just enjoy it all now. At your age either you're in or you're out. I doubt He dings you for enjoying yourself during a 100 year plague.
  17. I vote each new page must have a nurse pic at the top. Much easier to read the rest.
