  1. Any of yall have experience with the rechargeable handwarmers? My boy will be old enough to take with me to the deer blind this year. Guy I work with bought some for his son and swears they’re great.
  2. Marcus fouled a ball off his foot and Evan got hbp on the wrist. Both stayed in the game for another inning or two? after the initial injuries before being pulled. I’m more optimistic about Marcus than Evan seeing as he seems to be held together by bubblegum and baling wire.
  3. Quit pitching to this fuck goddammit
  4. Are cops and firemen city employees?
  5. Would you rather hear about my day at work? I promise it will make you beg for banal idiocy.
  6. That’s on me. Just thought to myself “damn Kelly looks good. 65 pitches with 2 outs in the 6th ought to get us thru the 8th”. Next fucking pitch gets hit to Venus
  7. I wonder if we can get Tommy Pham to donate his brain to science. There’s no way he was born such an ignorant douche. There’s got to be a tumor or something in there.
  8. Health, not helmets. Don’t text and drive, kids.
  9. That age demographic (my parents are in their late 60’s) for some reason don’t possess a bullshit filter when it comes to things on the internet. For some reason, if it’s on the internet it must be true (in their world). For well over a decade I’ve had to debunk absolute nonsense that both parents come at me with, and after peeling back the layers I discover they saw some clip or read some nonsense meme on Facebook. I’ve gotten to the point now where my dad will say something absurd, and I’ll just cut him off and say “I bet you saw/read that on Facebook”. To which his response 98% of the time is “yeah I did and I’ll show you where!”. I let him, then casually use the Google machine and show its absolute nonsense. This applies to government/partisan stuff, urban legends, dietary and helmets advice, etc.
  10. My parents live 138 miles away from me. My brother lives 7 miles away from my parents. 30 years ago mom and dad sold the house and five acres of the farm, kept the rest of the land and moved into town. Now, they’ve decided to build their dream home and move back to the farm for retirement. Even at 66 dad is still remarkably strong and capable, but I worry he doesn’t know when to slow down or understand that his limitations are different at 66 than they were at 36. So a few weeks ago I left out on a Friday at 4am so I could be in their driveway at daybreak to help with moving all the big stuff to the new house. I left about 930 that night. Never saw hide nor hair of my brother. He showed up Sunday, moved a couple boxes in his Tahoe and then asked Dad where the beer was. This should be a fun adventure as our parents continue to get older
