  1. Judging from the multiple videos of the plane coming in for landing as well as the quick response from the ARFF units I’m guessing they knew they had an issue and had called the alert in to the tower.
  2. I know this place can go off the rails worse than Charlie Sheen on a Tuesday in Palmdale, but I absolutely did not have a Katie Hnida reference on my offseason bingo card. When I think of Katie Hnida, I’m reminded that she’s only the second most annoying kicker to come out of Colorado, right behind that douche canoe that kicked barefoot for the Buffs in 99-00-ish.
  3. $225 for the Handy and $70 for the Elmer. About double what I last paid for each, but I’m pretty sure that was during the first term of the Donald.
  4. Friday evening trips NB 25 from Springs to Denver airport can fuck all the way off.
  5. Interesting. Bonnell made a post a few days ago about how great their food was.
  6. 6 pounds lean ground venison. 2 pounds venison breakfast sausage. 2.5 pounds cubed chuck roast.
  7. 19 degrees with a windchill of 10. Lovely
  8. At every turn the dude has refused to act and carry himself like the leader of the free world. Why would you expect that to suddenly change?
  9. It usually lightens as the sun rises….
  10. The list of things I give a flying fuck about is incredibly short. Australian kicker bullshit isn’t one of those things.
  11. My username on an old website from the early 00’s was Terry Hesticles. I am also an asshole….
  12. Have you had any bloodwork done? Not just the basic CBC, but an actual CMP as well as a full hormone test where they check things like Estradiol, Cortisol, DHEA, etc.
  13. Milam county is pretty ripe for the picking by the end of February. We are MLD so I usually finish filling my freezer middle or late February, then spend a day or so cruising the farm and hunting arrowheads and sheds. And drinking lots of lonestar light as that seems to be all they have out there.
  14. I’m not trying to die at a young age, but fuck a bunch of living to 90.
  15. With this mindset and approach, username definitely checks out.
  16. Tell me more about these DQ coupons. We talking those metal coins from that got you a free sundae??
  17. 1. Never talk to the police 2. Immediately
  18. Holy balls these little fuckers are persistent
  19. Going to be? Clearly you haven’t been flying in and out of Denver 6x a year for the last ten years. Lucky you
  20. Maybe one day they’ll tear up the fountain at the north entrance that only worked the first week it was open and do something cool like a walk of fame in that big ass plaza.
  21. First suggestion is drop $50k on one of these. It can also tell you if you’re having a heart attack. Alas, no automated BJ attachment (yet). Now that I’ve had my laugh; did you read the instructions on how to use yours? Most have a specific posture they want (standing or seated), and then they also have specific instructions for where to put your arm that is wearing the cuff (across your chest, lying flat and level with your heart, etc), as well as which arm to use. There’s really not a good automated one on the market that I’ve ever seen. They’re almost always 10-20 points off even when used correctly. If I had a dollar for everytime I had an LVN tell me their patient was 76/48; only for me to get one of 98/70, I’d be on a beach earning 20%. If you have a friend or family member that owns a stethoscope and manual BP cuff, that is the most accurate reading.
  22. He wasn’t before this episode, but one could argue he probably should have been. Living in Bell county definitely doesn’t help the problem. Not everyone responds as desired to certain BP meds depending on the root cause of the hypertension, that’s why there’s so many different ones (ACE inhibitor vs Beta Blocker vs Calcium Channel blocker). 135/85 is better than 145/90, but it’s not ideal. If you are using one of those flimsy battery powered wrist cuffs from Walgreen’s I wouldn’t put a lot of faith in that being an accurate reading. If you are getting a proper BP reading and it is consistently in the range you listed, even with medication, I would ask your doctor about either increasing your dose or trying a different med.
