  1. Take it for a covid test - appears the thermostat is running a fever.
  2. That's my go-to when I need to calm down my mind and fall asleep. I pretend I won the lottery and bought a certain ranch I know well - then I start at the gate with my new hydro-axe and start to clean it. Puts me right to sleep.
  3. That's a very good price. Below what the big on-line sellers would ask IF they even had it. S&B makes nice pills. Reliable and consistent quality. Someone give this man his $$.
  4. Sig dropped the P938 SAS P938 SAS No front sight -
  5. Worst I ever was involved with was a company who made burn care for emergency station kits placed around factories. Some kid they hired in their fledgling IT dept. built their fancy website and I guess it got rave reviews, so they decided to leverage that, changed their name and went 100% into website design and tried to become a dot com incubator like CMGi (olds here will remember those days). They'd design websites for cheap and take equity as payment. Went from pennies to $80+ and then evaporated overnight when the bubble burst and rational adults realized that their stakes in pimentocheese.com and castoroil.com were worthless. That was a stonky stonk for sure.
  6. Your business adventures would be a great idea for a TV series - get in bed with the cartel, then build what appears to be a much needed marina/boat rental outlet to wash their money. Follow that up with a hotel and casino after you get active in state politics. Hire some street smart local cons to help your family run it.
  7. If you want to see how your customers will fare operating your boat and how your boat will be used, follow The Qualified Captain on Instagram.
  8. Most gun shops are keeping some 9/5.56/45 under the counter so that they can sell it with new gun purchases. excellent reason to buy a new gun. Just tell your wife you bought the Ammo you needed to protect the family and the gun was thrown in for free.
  9. Yeah- this will be quickly resolved by changing a few menus and recipes. In 10 years we’ll be talking about the good old days when snails were cheap before the Hipsters made them the new fad food.
  10. Well done. It's sort of a shame that they rolled out when they did. Had they hit the market in late '19, '20's craziness might have been a springboard since everything is selling. Not sure if they weren't capitalized properly or were just mismanaged, but today's market could cover up for a lot of sins in the short term while the kinks are worked out. I hate seeing anyone swing and miss at a dream.
  11. Revolutionary or Civil?
  12. Let's play safe trivia......Anyone want to call their shot on naming this one?
  13. We still don't know what we don't know about this virus. The truth is out there and as always is somewhere in the middle of all the speculation, denial, and hysteria.
  14. My 2nd cousin caught it while traveling his wife. VERY early in the game with regard to confirmed cases.....pre-shutdown / everyone still flying. He and his wife were around the same people doing the same things and flew back home together sitting side by side. He got very, very ill 7-10 days after their return. She had not only traveled with him there and back, but was sleeping in the same bed with him before/during his early symptomatic phase and nursing him while he got sicker.....thinking it was a severe sinus infection because he was run down after the trip (late nights, drinking, etc). He crashed and tested positive when he was admitted to the hospital and then ICU. She tested negative multiple times as did their children who had the same exposure around the house, save the bed. My understanding is that she and the kids didn't even test positive for the antibodies that would have indicated her as positive / asymptomatic. It's anecdotal but there are so many of these occurrences that there has to be something there with regard to natural immunity or the spread would be worse than it already is.
  15. Found it - Only been a couple of weeks - Colt Resumes
  16. Florida had a total ban on short term rentals like VRBO, AirBNB, condos, etc (although resorts operating as hotels were exempt) until Mid-May I believe for that exact reason - to prevent migration from the Northeastern hot spots at the time.
  17. Interesting - I did not read that Colt had re-entered the commercial market after their public pull-out. I need to check that out.
  18. Yeah, well he’s Gus and I’m a not- plus after handling them for decades it still surprises me how heavy that sucker feels compared to a standard 870.
  19. Ha - Last time I smelled drove through Evadale there were still businesses flying the confederate flag. I doubt much has changed with the aroma of the mill or the attitude of the population.
  20. My back-up defense strategy involves an 870 as well, but I'm not going to shoot the perp with it. I'm going to offer it to him and when I hand him my extended tube Marine Magnum he'll buckle at the knees due to the weight and then I'll have the upper hand. Damn that's a heavy gun!!!!!
  21. Curious as to where this information is that she vetted the McCarty defense and interviewed him multiple times before deciding against using that. That's interesting if it is in fact true and I missed it or it wasn't presented in the doc but has been reported elsewhere.
  22. Well that's an understatement....... j/k - couldn't resist.
  23. At may age, I don't have the luxury of trying to time things and have never done it successfully anyway. Took years, but I think I have finally had that instinct bludgeoned out of me. I guess I'm content to stand pat and take the returns my allocation and the market gives me. The most important financial move I've made in the last 5-10 years was to do nothing early this spring, not even look at my accounts, and trust my allocation to work over the long run. My best thinking would have been to get out and try to catch a bottom which my experience shows me I would have certainly missed and then would have compounded mistake after mistake trying to get back to even.
  24. Value has lagged Growth in a dramatic fashion during this market rebound and I have to wonder if there will be a catch-up phase coming right now with a rotation amid profit taking. The divergence of value stalwarts like VEIPX and VYM from growth funds like FBGRX is striking. Long term I don't really care as things will balance out but in the short term it can be difficult to watch value assets under-perform while the market hums.
