  1. Way to do your research 👍👍. Both are mid-tier, mass-produced watches. And Swatch has fucked every company it's gotten its greedy hands on. Same with Richemont. Independents is where it's at. Like arguing with my brothers kids or something...
  2. Breitling has a shitty history of using multiple suppliers for its movements. However, about a decade ago, they built a really solid chronograph movement, B01 that's one of the most robust in the business. It's what's powering all of their modern chronographs.
  3. haha, i have a toyota and have both an omega and a breitling
  4. Man, those look like some kind of steam punk sci-fi pistols.
  5. Honestly, Omega and Breitling reside in the same mid-tier category among watch enthusiasts. Both are now in the hands of holding companies, Omega with Swatch Group and Breitling with some investment firm. Resale for both is atrocious, Omega slapped everything except their moon watch with "sea master" and with the exception of some re-editions and Breiling Premiers, Breitling's Navitimers can be pretty garish. I'd stack the b01 movement up against an Omega chronograph movement. Both Omega and Breitling have COSC certifications, Rolex was the original James Bond watch anyway, and the first watch in space was actually Scott Carpenter's Breitling Cosmonaute. Arguing over which is better is like arguing Toyota versus Honda.
  6. Edit: I'm so regarded (and trying to type up a proposal, deal with a conference call, and peruse Surly all at the same time)... You answered my question in the first sentence... my bad. --------- This looks a lot like the now defunct Hudson 9... Did Daniel Defense buy the designs from them? Hudson H9 Low-Bore-Axis Striker-Fired High-Capacity 9mm Combat/Tactical Pistol: Taking the 1911 Pistol Right into the 21st Century! – DefenseReview.com (DR): An online tactical technology and military defense technology magazine with particular focus on the latest and greatest tactical firearms news (tactical gun news), tactical gear news and tactical shooting news.
  7. The other option is an auction house. I've seen folks do really well there. You might call around and see if any would be interested in listing your piece.
  8. what makes it better? Try chrono24 and ebay. If you want to be screwed by a gray market dealer and you're in Austin, Bernard Watches might buy it off you.
  9. The "waiting list" is basically a piece of paper that they use to take your name and number saying they'll add you to their electronic list but instead toss in the trash when you leave...
  10. What's funny here is that Aggy will actually be excited about this... when in fact it's just Ted Cruz using their ego to solve his problem... Lol...
  11. I need an excuse to get a big boy revolver... how often do you go to Alaska?
  12. Anyone still carry a revolver for concealed carry?
  13. i'm an idiot. Just looked it up. The Cobra was originally released in the 50's in .22, .32, .38.
  14. is he a pimp in a New Orleans whore house? I thought King Cobra was .38?
  15. lumber might burn as you near the earth's molten core...
  16. so it's fine for a coach to get their kid into a school but not a BMD? Lol... That aside, this fucking sucks.
  17. Then I think it becomes incumbent upon those, like you, to help counter the marginalization of gun owners, regardless of how they choose to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights. I'd also say, that the popularity of AR-styled rifles increased in response to threats against them. If certain legislators stopped telling people they plan to ban certain guns, people won't stockpile them thinking that we're entering a dangerous phase of American history... Again, for those who vote for those same legislators, I think it's important that they voice their support for gun ownership so that their representatives understand their constituents aren't one-sided on this issue.
  18. The Chappell Show is still so relevant...
  19. None of us started this... It's like all things Surly, the giant vortex sucks you in and you're powerless against it...
  20. I think the fact that we went down early and were playing catchup all first half, only for Washington to effectively stay on offense the entire 3rd quarter, meant that we didn't get a chance to fully deploy the run game. Had we scored first and held Washington, I think you would have seen more of it.
  21. I'm down with that... edited.
  22. Eh, Kimmel's thrown his share of shit. Both are losers assholes if you ask me.
  23. I was about to recommend a 30-06 (what I've always used outside the hill country) and it's always worked a charm. But I didn't want to be accused of being old and uncool.
  24. Let me know if you do go and what your thoughts are.
