  1. There ought to be a Constitutional amendment outlawing that and Astroturf.
  2. With "These laws will minimize the concern over election security!" as the rationale. In other words- "If you let us do these things, we won't keep bitching about it from this point forward." As if the laws that Republicans are pushing in Georgia aren't an effort to undo laws Republicans passed earlier in Georgia. It's never "we should fix our message" or "we should try to serve the people". Rather, it's "we should be winning bigly, so they must be cheating."
  3. "See? We told you that he was going to keep his promise about that wall..."
  4. All the way up to her buttshole
  5. To me, there will still only be one Kang
  6. Well, if she had been black most people defending her now would be firmly on the side of "she had it coming" and "she should have complied", with a heaping of "he was just standing his ground" for dessert
  7. At some point, math says that one of them will snap on another one of them and there will be significant bodily harm and whatnot
  8. This. Key and Peele's edition is just incredible...
  9. Just my luck... my dream of having two blondes working on my wood goes terribly awry when they show up with a saw.
  10. Or maybe post her portrait, perhaps elegantly woven into some sort of fabric hanging or something. A quilt? Drapery? No... that's not right... Right on the tip of my tongue- I'm sure it'll come to me. I'll keep working on it and get back to you
  11. Ask them to define "Marxist"... for most people, it's just a "scary word" and dog whistle. It's worth remembering that MLK was labeled a Marxist as an attempt to discredit him as well- it's this year's version of "socialist". "Critical Theories" emerged from the German Frankfort School, and were influenced by Social Marxist thinking (particularly in regards to power differentials). Additionally, the work of Freud and Erich Fromm were involved here (but no one says CRT is Freudian, which seems to be a significant slip). The second phase of Critical Theory, though, included some efforts to shift away from Marxism out of a desire to include a moral or ethical context (Marxism being agnostic/atheistic). If you're a podcast person, this one opens up with a pretty good description of critical theory and where/when it diverged: https://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/podcasts/quick-to-listen/critical-race-theory-racism-evangelicals-divided-podcast.html (NOTE- that's from an evangelical perspective, the Marx discussion starts around 6:45) Interesting article from the American Bar Association: https://www.americanbar.org/groups/crsj/publications/human_rights_magazine_home/civil-rights-reimagining-policing/a-lesson-on-critical-race-theory/
