  1. What you’re ignoring is now that we can do the same, we’re not automatically eliminated from the majority of recruitments that are about a payday like it’s been the last decade. Recruits aren’t going to choose aggy if they can get paid at Texas.
  2. We just set something for the OL. Harris made some comments last summer to at we’re indicative that he was wanting to see what Texas would do with NiL. While our star players are getting good money and now we have something in place for OL and TEs, we don’t have anything concrete for DBs or the other positions groups as far as guarantees go. Aggy has money for him right now. He went from shitting on them to giving them a silent about a month ago. Same with Stewart. We need to set something up for all players to neutralize the bag game for other positions like we did for OL. It will happen in the future but it’s not helping this cycle.
  3. Yup, it evens the playing field. If the money is equal, why would want to pick Henson and college station over Flood and Austin. That’s why all of these schools are pissed about our deal. Their “advantage” is gone.
  4. Jake is very smart and helps the guys with their schemes and blocking responsibilities. He’s simply not big or strong enough. We need to put him in the weight room and buffet for 2 years and get him 315lbs. Until then, he really shouldn’t be seeing the field. The Baylor NT pushed him around like a rag doll. Herman seemed to want more athletic leaner OL with hopes of building their frames. It worked with Cosmi. But we have way too many lighter guys that can’t get a push and can’t handle big DL. I like where Flood wants to go.
  5. Cam Williams will probably follow samples to TCU. Get Campbell and Agbo. Get another tackle in the transfer market. What a recruiting class this is going to turn out to be if we hit on the OL and Ewers.
  6. Let’s fucking go. Let the dominos fall. Come on Quinn.
  7. A class of Banks, Campbell, Agbo, Hutson, Robertson would be very fucking good. Add in 3-4 transfer OL and it will be a huge upgrade in talent.
  8. He’s a big dude and is strong. Watching his HUDL, he seems like like contact and is hard to bring down. I will say, he doesn’t really look all that fast. Maybe a short yardage back?
  9. Lmao at the notion that a guy made of glass is going to play on defense where generally you’ll deal with more physical contact.
  10. 200k over 4 years plus all of the other NIL opportunities and you get to be coached by arguably the best OL coach in college football. If they are too stupid to see that and instead want to chase a bag by aggy under the table, so be it. We’re going to be very attractive to a lot of OL recruits regardless of Banks.
  11. Let’s fucking go. We need one good CB and this is turning out to be a pretty good defensive haul.
  12. Kansas State was completely one dimensional bc their QB couldn’t pass for shit. A lot easier for LBs when they only have to focus on the run. I bet Gbenda and Ford probably don’t look as great playing against Caleb Williams and offenses that can pass and when they also have coverage responsibilities. I was happy to see better LB play but let’s not act as if they stopped a prolific offense. DMO has a great skill set but needs to be used correctly. Clemson knew how to use Isiah Simmons, Pk has no clue how to use DMO. He’s not a traditional gap filling LB.
  13. He regressed this year. Honestly, we made a mistake not retaining Hutzler. He really had DMO playing at a high level with week to week improvement. He even got Juwan Mitchell to play as well as he could given he was a head case. Choate fucking sucks. I’m also not sure PK is utilizing him to his strengths.
  14. He’s a guy that that was close with Stewart, Ewers, Phaison initially. Getting him on board was going to help with Ewers and Stewart back the . Since then, he’s been flirting with anyone that would take him. He does not have committable offers from LSU, aggy, ou, or any decent regional schools. He decided to decommit and choose Michigan state. I really don’t care to take JAGs. We have a roster full of them. See if you can instead get a better proven fit from the portal and sell Ewers instead of wasting a scholarship. Same with Gilbeau. He tried to commit to LSU and aggy and both told him he didn’t have a spot. He chose TCU. Then came crawling back to Texas when he realized his coaches recruiting him there won’t be there. He’s also a JAG. Neg me all you want, but I’m okay passing on guys that are fringe P5 players. Especially ones that aren’t exactly fully invested in our program. These guys tend to be high bust and and transfer candidates.
  15. Nope… don’t want. He’s not a great fit for what Sark wants to do on offense. We need speed.
  16. I get it. I’m all for forging your own path…. But then there is picking aggy…
  17. On college gameday, then interviewed Riley and he’s in Dallas to visit recruits. Guessing he’s going to be stopping by to see Devon Campbell.
  18. I agree, however at this point we need any talent we can get. Hell we’re still taking Jaydon Blue and are begging Evan Stewart to come here. Two guys kicked off their teams. And then J’Mond Tapp who got in trouble for hazing. We aren’t exactly recruiting sunshine while boys at the moment! Haha
  19. Just go to his Instagram. He’s always posting stories with her and back stage at concerts. He was recently hanging out backstage with Jack Harlow. You don’t think every recruit wants that. Who the fuck is hanging out with the aggy players. I swear, if we can get back to winning and figure out NIL, we’re going to have our pick of players. That’s what’s frustrating, we have every resource to be a dominant program like we were. USC is doing it right now after being dead for a decade. but yeah, his gf is hot
  20. Bijan has quite a few NIL deals. The dude is raking in cash. He’s also got a hot ass gf that’s a cheerleader at Texas and is backstage at every concert with artists. He’s a full blown celebrity in Austin. That’s what Ewers wants outside of playing time. Money, build his brand, and a starting spot. He’s not going to tech or aggy. I think Tech is in there to give his high school coach some good pub and aggy is in there so it looks like we beat them out honestly. Dude never considered aggy during his recruitment and he’s not stupid enough to play in that offense.

  22. Keep in mind. If Ewers comes here and Sark has him putting big numbers and has us winning 9-10 games, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Manning’s interest grow. Ewers could and probably is planning on going pro the minute he’s eligible. That means Manning would essentially be the starter and get starter reps the spring after his first season here. Basically he would simply have to wait 1 semester to have the keys handed to him. Ohio state had no idea what they had in Stroud and Miller when Ewers committed. The guy thought he had a fair shot at the starting position but quickly realized Stroud is a stud with more experience in that system. He’s not getting any reps till Stroud gets hurt or leaves. He would walk in and be the starter the minute he sets foot on campus. He’s also seen what Sark can do with JAGs. Anyone watching our offense saw that this offense will be killer if we can get a decent QB. Our QBs missed so many easy throws to wide open WRs. He also knows he gets Bijan and Worthy, two elite skill guys. ou is in rebuild mode, so we should have the advantage in that match up with all their coaches and talent leaving. Ewers gets to come in and be the “savior”. The guy that got us back to winning and beating ou. If he’s a true Longhorn like he said he was as a kid, no way he even remotely considers aggy. That would be a slap to his parents who are Longhorn grads.
  23. This country is pretty fucked up. I’ve never had a gun, don’t care to shoot guns, nor do I feel the need to get one. I get self defense, sure. But I find it pretty funny that I have to go through 8 years of schooling, so many continuing education courses, maintain multiple licenses, and have to follow so much regulation to do simple medical procedures on patients. Yet when it comes to something dangerous like guns, I can go to a gun show today in Texas and probably buy a semi-automatic rifle without anyone blinking an eye. This country isn’t interested in solving real world problems. Everything is political. I have a simple solution. Allow basic rifles for hunting and very basic handguns. You must go through a one year process of training, background checks, mental health check to obtain a handgun. You have to take yearly courses to maintain the ability to keep your handgun. You are limited in how many weapons you can buy. Eliminate semi automatic rifles. You don’t need one for self defense. We’re not having a war here. I bet those 3 simple measures would drastically decrease shootings. So there, you get to keep guns to protect yourself. Anyone who finds those simple measures unreasonable probably shouldn’t be allowed to have a weapon that can take a life.
