  1. Did they do away with challenging PI this year?
  2. I have to agree. I believe this is primarily responsible for bifurcation between the haves and have nots, shrinking the middle class on the way to its elimination, creating the 1%. And that's a primary characteristic of a third world nation, no middle class. The money never trickled down, it was given to the rich and they've done everything they can to hang on to it...not that I blame them, it's human nature.
  3. Meant to post this earlier when Yurcich is showing off his plays but it sure seems like all of those plays need excellent pass pro to work well. Or a weak opposing D. Nothing in those plays says 'assume all of a sudden the DE is in the backfield, or they blitz, here's what Sam does.' I get it, it's hard to put that in a post, and you can't give everything away, but still. Well, that's what we got Saturday night, Sam had all day to figure out where to throw it. Sure would like to see what happens against a stronger D.
  4. Yeah there was a live stream on mlb.com. Sorry, should've mentioned it sooner.
  5. 1 down in the 9th.
  6. Alec Mills through 7 1/3, 93 pitches thrown. 10-0 Cubs.
  7. I agree, I don't see why Pence would do that. Now, I can see a scenario where Pence agrees to that in advance, but once he becomes Prez, reneging. Pence could still literally wave the MAGA flag and not tender a pardon, simply saying that Trump committed no crime so he doesn't need a pardon. The base would buy that. And what could Trump do, go public with the deal? Even the base would find that distasteful...well some of them anyway. Not like they could put a deal like that in writing or enforce it in any way. Heck, Pence could even take an under the table payoff and still renege.
  8. People who eat continental style.
  9. I have those pants.
  10. Damn I had my best day in a while playing these two.
  11. "Hey...there's no birthday party for me here!"
  12. What's up with ALPP? It just jumped over my buy-in point of .062. Up 26% on the day.
  13. Should've stuck around for the 10 minute zoom call with some Baylor spare, his dad and "Papa Favre." This is why I dvr and watch later, to ff thru crap like this.
  14. Don't go too cheap on the OBD. Get one that allows you to reset the warning. You gonna have to read reviews to make sure the 'reset' function actually works. But tighten the gas cap first.
  15. I thought they had to actually proceed to the center circle for the tip off. The Magic left the floor well before official tip time.
  16. I know it's Giannis, but other than that, it's still just Milwaukee and Orlando. Love 'em or hate 'em, if the Lakers don't go out, that will be extremely powerful.
  17. Catching up on some reviews. Thought this one was OK. Kinda stops and starts but the conclusions are different than what I was anticipating. This one started good, ended kinda meh. Quick read though, so right about when you feel like giving up on it, it's over. Waaaaaay too much detail about the geography of Berkeley which adds nothing to the story even if you're familiar with the area. Wife (no pics assholes) went to Cal so I know the area reasonably well and all I could think was, who tf cares. Just started this one. It's holding my interest quite well through the first few chapters.
  18. Well the Kaiser had a baby arm and Trump has a...
  19. Today I like: Rays -147 vs Blue Jays. Although Rays are 17-9 and I swear I've bet on them on all 9 of those losses. Brewers -132 @ Pirates. Pit sucks. Mil should bounce back after a series loss to the Twins. Which brings me to: Twins -143 @ Royals. Been riding the Twins and although they are better at home, I like them today. A's +105 vs Angels. Angels suck. Fiers hasn't done great this year, but Heaney only marginally better. Can't figure why the A's are home dogs. Finally, this one vexes me, seems so obvious. CHW @ CHC O/U is at 9.5. Why is that number so high? Yeah Wrigley has traditionally been a hitters park, and the wind is blowing out right now, and DH rule is in effect, but with Keuchel and Lester going, just seems like a sucker bet.
  20. He defeated Caesar at Gaul!
  21. $300 an oz seems...high. Probably closer to half of that.
  22. It was pretty obvious she was going to be the pick. I dunno man, if I was the R's, I would've thought about this a few weeks ago and come up with 2-3 solid talking points to release immediately upon announcement. There were at most 2-3 others for whom they needed to prepare.
  23. As many have said already, kind of a no brainer. I really hope it took this long to announce her because the dems were doing extremely deep vetting and preparing for any negativity that might come out.
  24. I've been watching and waiting for an entry point and kinda wondering why there's no discussion here. Sure seems to fit the very definition of a stonk.
