  1. Just had this pop up from 4 days ago. Not sure why NextDoor decided to send me an email today about it. BTW, for reference, I live ~10 minutes from Belterra, so she decided to send this to the wider surrounding area: "Has anyone been sick with diarrhea this weekend? I woke at 1:30 just miserable. I did make coffee with tap water. Wondering if that caused it. Another friend in Belterra is also sick"
  2. So if 5 days come and go and there is no announcement, then it's "yea, that didn't pan out. But just wait until I tell you something else that may or may not happen in the next 5 days. Keep clicking hte website and checking in to see if it happens."
  3. Had to take my son's bike to the shop in Colorado after a couple of rough days of downhilling. Didn't need anyting massive. Bleed the bakes, make a few adjustments, etc. It took 3 days, and when I went to pay it has "suggested tip" on the screen. Bottom rung was 15% for "ok service". Huh? There's already a labor charge on top of hardware. So tipping is expected for "ok service". Fuck. That. Your business is parts and labor. I paid for both. It's not like they cut me to the front of the line. I had a moment like the OP.
  4. I had no idea Jason Taylor coached there. Living in South Beach being coached by a NFL HOFer isn't a bad sales pitch. I assume Miami would find a way to line his pockets as well.
  5. Buncha women's shoe salesmen on this site.
  6. Wasn't The Horn part of Austin Radio Network with Koke FM? The football and basketball games were simulcast. I'd imagine football and basketball are still broadcast on ARN, unless their contract was up.
  7. Same. Crested Butte until July 18th.
  8. He died a couple of years ago. I went to TexAgs for the first time in about 4-5 years last week, and there was a thread on the Old Rivalries board about it. And it sparked a memory that someone on this board had mentioned it a few months ago. Maybe CTJ.
  9. The Athletic employed 500 people as part of "journalistic staff"?!?! What the hell does that include? 20 people = 4%. 5 people = 1%
  10. Not sure how a PBJ is disqualified because it's an "at home sandwich", but grilled cheese is allowed. That's as "at home" as they come. And a sandwich is a sandwich. You can make any of them at home. I'll submit turkey and Swiss with mustard, but not sure it adheres to your rules.
  11. I assume this is somehow Bob Cole's fault.
  12. LOL, I googled it to see if this was just a joke. Nope...true story.
  13. I'll be traveling to Hamburg, Germany in a couple of weeks on business. Never been. I'll essentially have most of the afternoon and evening on a Sunday, and then Monday through Wednesday evenings to do what I want. At first glance on a map, it looks like it would be a cool place due to all the canals it's situated on. But the pictures just look like any other big city. Anyone have recs on things to do, places to eat, etc. I do like jogging, so any cool parks or areas of town to jog in the evening would be appreciated as well.
  14. You sonofabitch. This hits a little too close to home, except my kids didn't start playing until they were 5.
  15. Great news! By Jan 2025, when they are 8 years and $100M invested in the coaching staff, they'll know if Jimbo is the guy.
  16. We ain't getting shit in Driftwood. Had a decent 10 min shower in the afternoon, but that's it. Future radar shows we'll get very little. Mother Fuck.
  17. Time stamps. How do they work?
  18. My wife and I did Amalfi Coast in mid September back in 2019. I think we had 4 full days. Departed Rome and arrived in afternoon. Don't remember what we did for the afternoon. Drove to Pompeii for one day. Capri for a day, then farted around the town of Amalfi for a couple of hours upon return. Hiked Path of the Gods one day with a late lunch close to Positano, then hiked back. Walked around one day exploring. Found a cool place for lunch. Hung out on beach. Then 5th day we drove to Rome and had a full 1/2 day in Rome before departing. Fun little trip.
  19. This is a good point. He's absolutely owed money. He helped build the band, the brand, and the songs he's a 25% owner in is a reason why people are paying to see them play now. But 25%? Seems a little steep. My guess is the other guys aren't looking to cut in the replacement guitarist for 25% of the tour. 5% seems like not enough. Kickstart my Heart anyone?
  20. Re: Crown and Anchor, I don't live anywhere close to there and haven't been in I don't know how long. Has anything changed? Can't imagine Dervin is still around is he? Used to see him at Texas Showdown (his girlfriend was bartender IIRC) and then would run into them at C-Hunts and split a bucket on occasion. He was good people.
  21. Reminds me of a debate I had with my BIL about 10 years ago while we were swimming at my in-laws house. His little boy jumped off the diving board over my BIL's head and spun clockwise. I don't even remember how the term "clockwise" got brought up, but my BIL proceeded to insist that the spin was counterclockwise because from his POV it was counterclockwise. Basically his argument is there is no clockwise or counterclockwise because everything is dependent on POV. I asked him if he stands behind a clock, does that mean the hands actually move counterclockwise. "yes". So the Earth's rotation of clockwise vs counterclockwise is dependent on if you're looking at it from the North Pole or South pole? Yes. this went on for AT LEAST 15 minutes. At the end, I was like One of us brings it up as a joke every couple of years, and the debate starts all over again for about 1 minute, then the rest of the family yells at us to shut up. Good times.
  22. I think it was more a comment that your post looked like it was edited by Ketch
  23. Wife got pulled over driving back from San Antonio this afternoon. The reason? For changing lanes too often. She claims it was twice. Once because she and the cop were riding directly next to each other for like 2 miles and it made her nervous. And the next time because the car in front of her slowed way down so she moved back over. He took her license and insurance, went back to his car, and then returned with a warning. He said, "I have to give you an official warning for racial profiling purposes." And then turned and left. She's white. The only way I can take that is they have to make it look like they don't racial profile by randomly pulling over white people and then documenting it. LOL. Thanks for officially admitting to what we already know.
