  1. I don't care if you ever make a pizza at home, you do you, but what you posted is pretty stupid. BTW, Costco has SoloStove Pi Prime for $239. We may end up going with that to see how much we're really into it.
  2. I'm a little slow, but what's the thought on why the 24 hour sun was what finally convinced him? Do Flat Earthers think people live on both sides of a disc? And that the sun rises and sets at the exact same time for half the planet?
  3. Lol. Too late. I'm in for 5k shares.
  4. I don't remember that name. Was TNXP one of the darlings on this thread in the past? I did just look up the stock and yes it is in the shitter. But it also just had FDA accept a new drug application for Fibromyalgia that had really good Phase 3 results. And people are speculating commercialization in 2025. Convince me not to buy a couple thousand shares at the current level of <$0.40

Next June will be the 10 year anniversary of when the mom across the street from us died from cancer. Mid 30s, 2 kids aged 5 and 7. Just awful. At her funeral her husband played "Just Breathe" with a slide show of her and her family. I can't hear that song without being taken back to that moment and hearing the sobbing from the crowd. I'm welling up right now thinking about it.
  6. Do you have the wood fuel accessory?
  7. Dusting off this thread as we're in the market for an outdoor pizza oven (portable, not built-in) and I bet after 6 years there are more people with input. Not sure we'd buy one ourselves, but my parents are asking about Christmas gifts and this is the price range they generally spend between my wife and I. I'd rather this than 3 shirts. I think we'd use it a lot April through mid-October when we swim most weekends and eat outside a lot. I'm looking hard at this one: https://us.gozney.com/products/roccbox It has a wood firebox accessory you can "easily" swap with the propane box should I want to do that on occasion. So any new comments from folks that may have an outdoor pizza oven?
  8. "Quick Portal Thoughts" is definitely one way to title that post.
  9. We're gonna need some lottery numbers with this 9.95 info
  10. Well that's a GREAT reason for UNC to hire the guy. Sounds like the perfect candidate.
  11. Firing for cause because he won't break the existing contract and sign a new one? LOL, that's rich. That's like being arrested for resisting arrest.
  12. It's December. Just wait until August. Reality will be but a distant memory.
  13. Or RTDB considering we were averaging 6+ YPC. It was 3rd and 4. Run it twice in a row. If you don't get it that Aggy offense isn't going 95 yards to score a TD on our defense. I don't get the willingness to run it down their throat to close out a game, but not to score a TD.
  14. Good summary. Key emphasis on their fab lead and "hardball" as you put it. The process technology was their crown jewel. As one ex-Intel exec told me "Intel is a manufacturing company that makes products to fill their fabs". When TSMC caught up and surpassed, it allowed companies with better designs to shine. Their designs weren't all that special. They did a great job of finding ways to lock customers into their technology. And "hardball" is why this has taken so long to come to fruition. The board and execs whistled past the graveyard for a decade taking their short term profits while threatening and bribing everyone in their way, completely ignoring the bigger picture. I thought Gelsinger had a chance to get them back by focusing on the Fabs, but it seems like the board wants short term returns. Good luck with that.
  15. Looks like this was a good old-fashioned firing. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/12/02/intel-ceo-pat-gelsinger-is-out.html I have no idea how long the current Intel BOD has been around, but this Yeary guy has been on the board since 2009, so he had a front row seat for the downfall and likely played a role through their incompetent CEO hirings and missed executions of the past.
  16. Agreed, and he was at Intel when it used to be an engineering company. It's why I gave him a chance to turn it around albeit I knew it would take time. This is nuts and I assume details will start to come out at some point. I hope he's not sick.
  17. Holy shitballs. Didn't see this one coming.
  18. This is required for any family gathering. I brought an athletics bag with 2 sized soccer balls, 3 sizes of football and a basketball. At 10am on Friday morning my FIL and his brother decided to turn on Fox News and talk about everyone who needs to be deported. So I rounded up my son and 2 cousins in the room to go to the park to throw the football and kick the soccer ball. That was an hour well spent away from the rest of the family. When we got back football was on.
  19. Cool. Bring it yourself. But that reminds me of this breakfast casserole my wife's family makes, which came from my wife's uncle. Eggs, cheese, breakfast sausage, bread. Combine and bake. Really fucking good. One year at either Tgiving or Xmas her uncle is there and makes it. He's a chili cook and is constantly evolving that recipe, so I ask "anything new in your casserole these days?" "I started putting wheat bread instead of white bread so it will be more healthy." That got a good laugh from me.
  20. Wonder if he is calling recruits and telling them he'll help them go wherever they want? Fuck that guy.
  21. Served on a plate that ensures half of it will end up on the table
  22. You can't "mark" your chili in competition, so most float the japs or serranos to add the heat without the actual pepper. I have no idea if the people that do it on this thread do competition chili and it's just habit. But I don't know why you wouldn't dice them up and add to the pot.
