  1. I'd rather have Maalik than the injured version of Quinn that showed up against OkSt last year. If he plays, he better be healthy.
  2. More like spending $150k on a 10 year old Mini Cooper with a Maserati name plate glued to the front. And the driver won't shut up about how they stole it for $150k
  3. I am not disparaging the dish, because on a cold night that looks like it would hit the spot. But for some reason I got a big laugh out of the idea that the dish was too fancy for the Steel Shank thread because it looked like something you used to eat at Panchos. Talk about a back handed compliment.
  4. To be fair, I'm not sure I'd be able to understand a word out of either of their mouths
  5. LOL. Yea, "stolen". I always envisioned the Jimbo contract negotiations like this scene in thomas Crown Affair.
  6. <not so csb> In the late 90s or early 2000s the Alamo Ritz had a showing of Shaft. I had never seen it and didn't really have many expectations. With price of admission you received a 40oz wrapped in brown paper towel, so that was a good start. At the end of the movie, I couldn't believe I had never seen it because it was freaking awesome. May need to watch it again soon.
  7. Dogs are awesome, exhibit eleventy billion
  8. Strict rule in our house. No christmas shit until after TGiving weekend. TGiving is 4 days people.
  9. LCS tied 2-2. 8th inning of a 2 run game and runner on 1st. On what planet do you intentionally hit a batter?
  10. I love this thread. Thanks, i know what's in chili powder. I use a couple different types. I also use fresh onions, garlic, carrots, red bell pepper, all chopped very fine. Kidney beans, lentils, bison, jalapenos, beef stock, lots of chili powder, salt, and pepper. It's glorious. I've judged lots of chili cookoffs in which I felt like spitting out my bite, and it was just meat and gravy. But it was garbage. And it wasn't "chili" in my definition, but it would be in yours. Congrats I guess. What's your view on topping with cheese, sour cream, avocado, fritos, etc?
  11. I enjoy making my own tortillas from scratch from time to time, and now I'm wondering why this never crossed my mind. Definitely will try next time.
  12. Enjoying a nice bowl of red with bison meat, veggies, kidney beans, red lentils, and more fucking chili powder than 98% of you wannabe purists would ever consider.
  13. Are you really? it's Hornfans, except the ratio of those that are capable of critical thought is inverted.
  14. JFC. That's a great idea. I have a problem having ZERO cash on me, so I'll take out a few bucks and it lasts my multiple trips. But for countries I don't visit a lot, that's a great tip.
  15. You think recruits are going there because of the coaches? Didn't they pull a 5* DL from 1,500 miles away with vacant DC and DL positions? Hell, Jimbo on the hot seat may be a positive. Get paid a lot to go. Then reopen the recruitment once he's fired. That's 2 paydays.
  16. It would be a shame if there were fractures in the donors and they take their ball and go home when their guy doesn't get hired.
  17. The Vols are coming off a bye week as well. Although my guess is they were more getting ready for Bama, who they play the week after the Ags, than really prepping for A&M. Hopefully they aren't looking past this game. Tennessee doesn't appear to be good enough to look past anybody and it not be a problem.
  18. I always liked his shows. Also ate at Bottega a couple of times and really enjoyed it. In fact, probably the best octopus I've ever had was my first trip to Bottega. Agreed that allergic reaction is a shitty way to go.
  19. Is that Jason Appel running in at the end? Surprised he didn't jump on top so he could get credit for a 0.5 tackle.
  20. Can't believe it's been 20 years since that game. The youngsters on this board can't fully understand how embarrassing that game was for the Ags. Running clock in the 4th qtr (or was it the entire 2nd half?) like it's fucking rec soccer. Paul Thompson taking a knee on 1st down, maybe even on the drive this clip is from. He took a knee in the 4th qtr with plenty of time remaining when OU was about to score again. And then on downs 2-4 they simply ran the same play into the middle of the line like the clip above. Then culminating with Johnny Fucking Jolly doing a celebratory strut after body slamming a RB when the entire OU team had clearly stopped trying. What a fantastic day I had watching with my Aggie sister as well as the jackass Aggy that was married to my cousin at the time. I laughed so hard when this play happened, and he wanted to fight me. I may have to see if somone has his contact info so I can send him this clip on the anniversary in November.
