  1. That fight was hilarious, and this thread has some gems. Wait to until you get to the painting.
  2. Buzzrock replied to NoName's topic in Other Sports
Weren’t there reports of me-too type shenanigans with Horner?

  4. Good suggestions yall, appreciate it
  5. Whenever the system tells me to check it. But I’ve never seen any build up on mine.
  6. Good lord that looks horrific. PN seems to have cleared up though. Thinking about a week in IM in October. Good time to go?
  7. My favorite way to do steaks these days is sous vide and then sear. My searing weapon of choice is an old cast iron skillet which I get screaming hot with no oil (it all just burns) and I use a cast iron press to make sure I have good even contact. Works pretty well for putting a crust on a medium rare steak. However, I’d like to be able to baste with butter / garlic / herbs during the sear. How do I do that without burning the butter to the color of motor oil?
  8. No idea. But I don’t recommend an off-brand salt cell. I got the last one from Amazon and it only lasted 2 years.
  9. Down 65 lbs in about a year. Twice now (once in December and once at a July 4th party this past weekend) I’ve eaten and drank too much and paid for it with a couple days of what felt like a stomach bug. All the more reason to cut that crap out. My doc says my bloodwork looks great, which hasn’t been true for many years. People say they don’t recognize me. One notable consequence is that oral medications can take quite a bit longer to take effect. Not a big deal for daily or weekly meds (I’m still on a statin, for instance, but no longer on BP meds or omeprazole for reflux/heartburn) but it’s a bummer for ā€œrecreationalsā€. Can’t really do gummies any more, and when I took shrooms before a Dead show in March they didn’t kick in until 3am.
  10. Just dropped $900 on a new salt cell. Still worth it. Right? Right?
  11. Rewatched 28 Days Later over the weekend and it doesn’t hold up super well. The lo-fi video is tough to watch on a 4K screen. I think what made it novel was the ā€œfast zombiesā€ which we had never seen before. The cast and acting is pretty good. Gonna rewatch 28 Weeks as well.
  12. This show made me upgrade to Hulu without ads
  13. Not Texan but some of my favorite people are and I spend a lot of time there. Happy to chip in a little. God be with the families and volunteers.
  14. The Terror was a very slow burn but a good cast and a good villain. Seasons 2 and 3 don’t look as interesting to me.
  15. Anyone watched The Terror? Pretty good cast. Just started it.

  17. It’s 12 minutes long!
  18. Happy 4th doc, didn’t make it to Chicago this summer
  19. From his quotes page on IMDB: RIP
  20. I dig it, but I’m kinda fascinated by really thin metal guitars like the Nita Strauss signature Ibanez.
