  1. Lane Museum in Nashville, drag strip where Feuerball managed to win two (thanks to me shrewdly negotiating car lengths and rolling starts), and then Tail of the Dragon. What a day. I dig this car. Getting its butt sniffed by the TT:
  2. Last night we were at a place that stores and services exotics as well as builds high dollar racing simulators: and because I know you boys love fat asses…
  3. It got popped doing 120 mph on the way to Nashville yesterday. The cop just laughed and said “try to keep it under 90”. Crazy.
  4. IMG_7230.mov
  5. Got to buy tires in Colombiana, AL After a morning here: Watching the fire truck try to drift was awesome.
  6. The Ed / Doug / several others (including mine) birthday road trip bash has been a hoot. The beater bimmer is a surprisingly fun track car as well as being a solid road tripper. The a/c kinda barely works (especially in blazing sun) but it’s enough to make the 86 degree days tolerable. Some of the other cars are hilarious:
  7. Too fast to be considering lumbering, imo. But epic for sure.
  8. Also how did they get all three protagonists into one place in time? Are the predators time travelers too?
  9. Lotta sidekicks. Not a lotta main bosses.
  10. Second story was the best (I’m a sucker for anything Edo Japan). Granny wrecking shop and kid climbing out on the wing (among other absurd things) didn’t work for me. Have we ever seen the Predator win? Not exactly a killer of killers. I’d like to see a story / series where they get a big W.
  11. Glad you dug it. I went to that show last time it came around and it was a good time.
  12. There’s a lot of contestant overlap between that show and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, highly recommended. I posted it earlier in this thread.
  13. It does thanks. I like The Woolworth. The pig face at CBD Provisions is a show stopper too.
  14. Maybe a short thread but a subject I’ve been thinking about. Probably the daddy: But I also really like this one. I shared it with a friend who likes heavy stuff and he thought it was awful but I love it: And this one fits, if perhaps overplayed in its time:
  15. Sabalenka scares me
  16. It was too late then. The best would have been a Thrawn books trilogy, but they were all too old to play those parts.
  17. Is Wicked Butcher any good? I’m in that area frequently.
  18. No lie, at one point Phil said “Shout out to good parenting!”
  19. Straight out the gate with Creeping Death. Fuck the haters Metallica still sends it. Sitting next to people who have never seen them before. This girl wasn’t alive the first time I saw them.
  20. This incarnation of Pantera just makes me sad about Dime
  21. There sure are a lot of old people at this Metallica show

On top of the indignity of having to drive a fucking minivan around.

Driving around in this beater bimmer has reinforced everything I hated about that E450 I just sold. All the modern computer crap has completely diluted the driving experience for anything except enthusiast cars. Bombing around in a 200hp five-speed with a good chassis is all you really need. Oh, and some tunes:
