  1. It’s easy, hate the people they hate. Yo! You hate western hemisphere brown people and those queers. I’m eastern hemisphere brown we are ok. Let’s hate the same people together !! ISWYDT
  2. To be fair Swamy isn’t a last name that screams US statesman to anyone. And add to that US Hindu population was integral to 9/11 so there’s that too.
  3. Rural Texas was very similar. I still can’t wrap my head around what happened. A long time ago I had a hope to retire to the Texas hill country. sitting on an oversized porch in a rocking chair with a Texas brewed beer in my hand in the warm spring when thunderstorms roll through and rain comes down around the live oaks is something I’ll have to replace. Some parts are ok because of migration but the true small towns are not. Climate and politics will drive us elsewhere. Good people exist and I guess to an extent these are good people but they might as well be looking to shoot me down in broad daylight because their rhetoric, their beliefs and their vote is almost as dangerous.
  4. Yes and no. If I was younger and available I’d be quite interested in the woman driving one, assuming she’s wearing flannel and tight jeans with that I didn’t try very hard today but I still look smoking hot and yes I like the ladies vibe going on. but I’m pushing 50 and taken so that ain’t happening.
  5. sex appeal good range - will road trip with it driving experience space - for people and things quiet sound *for the most part I assume safety and tech will be ok - CarPlay, adaptive cruise, blind spot etc. these features are a must.
  6. I’ve never done the spreadsheet thing. I just wing it on a test drive and emotion. Pretty much not kidding. We have a tow vehicle - 13,000 lbs. it’s what I drive when we go fishing or camping. It’s bordering on a classic truck now. Probably shouldn’t get an off road wanna be. I think I just eliminated the Outback.
  7. My ex is in an accord hybrid. So probably not that particular one - but honestly with two teenager cars and two college bills I’m struggling with the spend a lot on a car idea right now. I’m 50/50. The problem with an Outback is it kinda takes the place of a truck except significant towing, which we need. But it would probably make the truck superfluous in all other ways. I am intrigued with finding the trail heads off dirt roads in the mountains with a car and not a truck. But that may be attraction to sheer novelty that would wear off.
  8. Our Macan S lease is up in 3 months I have no idea what’s next. We won’t buy it, we may get the same car newer version. It’s a ridiculously great touring vehicle. I can get to rockport for fishing in no time flat. It yawns at 95 mph doing 2100 RPM in 7th gear. Handles like a champ. Has CarPlay but the electronics are German. my X is paid for and I’m in the cars and tuition window now with two teens. Ugh. So I’m not thrilled about having to reup. Everything from downsize to one daily driver (I work from home but still unlikely) to downsize to a less expensive car - wife says the Volvo or Subaru route is fine but she’s not driving the lezzie car, to give up my truck and her macan and get a newer truck, to a Benz or Audi or fuck I don’t know are on the table. Probably not another Tesla. the sports cars are out we need it for road trips. So it’s looking like the macan or maybe the Mercedes GLE. GLS may be too tight for my comfort for our garage. Or go the Subaru or Volvo route. Fuck I dunno. last time I was uninspired but twice got us looking at the macan it was a great choice. Who’s totally thrilled with what they have right now in the ICE / hybrid categories?
  9. Lake Travis ISD delayed 2 hours too.
  10. Ice cream, sprinkles and milk and cream dought ingredient talk not going away.
  11. I agree mostly but would change a few. DE and DB will be better there’s no doubt. portal will dictate if TE is same or worse - could be the same with what’s out there with Stanford and Bama TEs LB - not sure - if hill develops further in the offseason we could have a small drop off. Not sure our other guys. DT - no way it’s anything but a drop off, question is how much. Could be a lot could be negligible. Collins will come on strong I bet. Will the rest? Portal? KO/PR - tbd. Seems like sark is trying to get some burners.
  12. i can't see how this guy is anyone but a must have.
  13. I think it’s as much Ewers vs. Milroe than DeBoer is or isn’t worth staying for. Gotta learn a new system now matter what. Who is the surest bet next year for a WR all things considered? QB room stocked, WR room on its way with room at #1 for you., system is pro style, a team already competing at a high level, in the SEC? Texas is a huge opportunity for him, way safer than Alabama and Milroe.
  14. Great, now everyone is going to think we like wearing plaid shorts.
  15. You don’t have to try. We have a history of bringing in upperclassmen to the WR room - this year and last - so curious what it will do to recruiting HS talent. I’m not too worried. Just discussion fodder.
  16. I’m curious too. Mitchell and now Bond and Golden…
  17. This man knows how to manage a thermostat. We drop ours to 65-66 over night and turn them on in the morning to 68-69.
  18. We caught a GRTU stocking today… IMG_4166.mov
  19. Btw confirmation the llano stocked trout are GONE in a few days. Folks catch and keep their limits and those fish just disappear super fast.
  20. Hindsight is fine but we thought we had him, lost him, maybe never had him, and many disappointed. Thread was awesome.
  21. Great day with my son… this big guy we saw lounging in the stream and got to sight fish him. Bonus.
  22. Are we supposed to water our lawns tomorrow before the freeze? I see lots of yes advice but no answers for a hard multi day freeze. New lawn, etc…
