  1. that's what she said.
  2. I choked on a 7-11 hot dog once in high school. you assholes are quite lucky I made it through that and I'm here to grace your presence. I coulda died that day. I hope those two fellas "slamming" QT roller dogs know how dangerous that activity can be.
  3. I kinda rorschach'd this automatically and the first thing I saw was a penis. I've been on this thread a few other times and it still looks like someone taking a leak. not sure I want you guys to tell me what that means. but I felt compelled to say it.
  4. my son had covid and flu A this week, we were able to banish him to his room for 5 days, plus tamiflu and paxlovid (mostly for my benefit) and that shit stayed quarantined, no one else got sick. do not fuck around with ms. troph and her post covid vigilance. I'm a ninja. fuck that virus to hell and back. kiddo did great, his last day before he went to his other mom's house we were wearing masks he was symptom free and I told him of the stories of being grounded to my room for being a hellion. he was not amused. hey, at least I didn't make you pull a switch for me. his response, "what's a switch?" next time bud, next time.
  5. this is the ONLY reason I will even consider stopping. But to be honest, I'll find another way if I can. fuck that place. it's emblematic of everything I think is wrong with humanity and not just politics. the largesse of it all - how many freaking gas pumps are truly needed at one gas station, sweet jesus?!?
  6. I think it's a lot more than that. only lean proteins, whole grains, nuts, seeds, eggs, limited dairy, fruits and vegetables. common sense eating generally means under 50g (absurd USDA guideline), under 20g of added sugar and generally avoiding animal based saturated fats. that's skipping ice cream, potato chips, crackers, bread, pizza, burgers (buns), tex-mex, cheap pasta, no butter, limited cheeses, choosing wisely at restaurants, etc. That's not too hard to do. 20-50g of added sugar and generally avoiding animal based saturated fats isn't getting any of us to very healthy status in our 50s - 80s ... our genetics might protect us some, exercise too, but if you want to be lean and fit as you age it's sleep, exercise, diet as described, relationships, and hope you've got the good genes. 5 grams or less of added sugar, eat 2 cups of cheerios with no added sugar milk or no added sugar oat milk and you're at 4 grams for the day. added sugar is everywhere except the produce section, nuts, seeds, eggs and unprepared raw meats, fish and poultry. whole grains, you have to scrutinize the label. go to the cereal aisle. you'll find maybe 3-4 selections in the entire aisle that have under 5g of added sugar in a small serving size. it's insane. if your household isn't on board with an anti-inflammatory diet, it's really hard to accomplish. simply put - in the US, an under 5g per day of added sugar and virtually no animal based saturated fat diet is ridiculously difficult - but it is doable. all of that said, my 5 months on this diet was incredible. I never felt more healthy in my life, all the while I was still pretty ill with covid but recovering. I would stay on this diet if I could convince my family, but I can't. So I'm going to try and manage through it. this week is a strict week as I added 5 pounds the last month.
  7. Starvation diets will mess up your system based on what I’ve read. Better to just course correct on your diet. There is some mixed evidence for fasting for 2-3 days once a month, but straight up starvation isn’t a great idea. For most if you follow a diet like I outlined you (1) can’t really over eat bc is fiber filled, high volume low calorie foods, and (2) absence of inflammatory foods lets your body heal and rest from these foods that create a chronic state of inflammation which triggers weight retention.
  8. One of the fastest WRs of all time with good hands? Seems like a plan.
  9. I lost 30 lbs in 10 weeks on an anti-inflammatory diet - lean protein, whole grain, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, some dairy, eggs, salt, pepper and healthy oils - everything not on the list was strictly off limits. Total added sugar per day was 3-4 grams max. If my family would join me I could stay on that diet, the flavors exploded after about 4 weeks. Didn’t watch calories, ate as much as I wanted.
  10. I tried to do one on a fetal pig in high school. Damn well nearly got suspended from school for that stunt.
  11. Like I said, your wife is in menopause, an Eskimo or maybe you have a 10 … oh wait, nevermind I think I figured it out.
  12. Nice sentiment in theory, in practice it’s a bit different right now. Every morning I wake up wondering if today is the day Rubio announces they are coming for my identity, I check to see if the bill filed in Texas to retroactively invalidate my Texas DL made it out of committee. There’s plenty of room for hate and the flag and anthem are being taken away from people and we who are under foot can’t do a god damn thing about it.
  13. I’ve seen those comments. I have on leggings, socks, uggs, long sleeve knit shirt and a sweater.
  14. Because our thermostat is at 68 and I’m cold.
  15. God dam worthy you ballin!!!
  16. Wife is set to inherit a substantial amount of physical gold and silver almost entirely what her folks invested in for their wealth. Assuming we keep it - which I expect she will - a few questions… I assume a safe deposit box is the best way to secure it? Joke about burying it in the back yard … that’s what her dad did. it’s mostly coins (a lot of them) so how do you liquidate? when liquidating what are the fees, etc? Can we expect to sell at the spot market rate? What factors generally lead to gold increasing and decreasing in value? assuming we hold, what are 5-10 year expectations for gold? TIA
  17. He doesn’t understand that shit, he’s playing checkers.
  18. We absolutely missed him this year
  19. I bet your wife is pissed at you unless she is in menopause or is an Eskimo.
  20. Really great coverage
