Dude had a great game. He's putting it together.

Don't want to be hyperbolic here but The Legend of Vince really only lasted about 1.5 seasons. That first half of 04 was rough, had mfers calling for Chance Mock and other various horseshit

Deep balls work a lot better when the safetys have to worry about the run a little

this and the game started to slow down for Arch when our running game became passable instead of horrible.

Yes sir. Again, everyone was  do upset that Ewers was checking down and favoring shorter routes. Its what had to happen in order to mitigate negative plays.

Ewers seemed to be gifted in giving guys a good ball with a chance to gain yards. Unfortunately the placement isn’t as great with Arch he kind of gets guys killed

He’s really a momentum and feel type player, he doesn’t set the tone yet but if a guy breaks a tackle and gets a big play you see him also kick into another gear.

Maybe with more experience he will be able to light that fire with his legs and making those improvised escape then passes for big plays.

He was panicking against Florida a bit but his pocket presence was awesome against ou so I’m hoping the game is finally slowing down for him. If he can just get 10% faster at processing and 10% more accurate in this offense he’s going to fucking shred defenses.

sure. the running game holds the LBers and also makes it hard for DL to tee off.  that in and of itself makes the windows bigger and therefore makes  processing easier in the pass game.

agreed.  quinn was better at throwing people open where as Arch is still in the waiting for them to come open stage.  funny though, when he was on the run he actually had some "throw receiver open" throws.

Nice but this one needs to be more like the Bad Santa scene where OU woman says she can't walk right for a week.

More like Beerfest where he says he hustled a high stakes ping pong game. Been shitting flapjacks ever since.

Arch Manning on the mic

The Longhorns got a nice win when they defeated the Sooners 23-6 in the latest installment of the Red River Rivalry on Saturday, and quarterback Arch Manning wasn't shy about how good it felt.

Just before his postgame interview with ESPN's Holly Rowe, cameras caught Manning's lighthearted but definitely serious message to the reporter: "We needed that one Holly."
