Texas Softball 2025 - Sick of Being Second Place

Softball balls and strikes shouldn't be nearly as hard to get right as they apparently are.

The sport as a whole is officiated poorly. You’d think they’d have eight really good crews in the super regionals but some of these umps seem very little league.

There’s no accountability.

Ole Mississippi getting after Pig in the 1st. Two runs in and runners at the corners with one out.

Don’t love that. Arky should have the offense to hit Canady; Ole Miss, UCLA and Oregon won’t be a big challenge for Canady

Agreed. Still wouldn’t hurt my feelings to see Arky choke it away

Notorious for that. Go back and look at 2022 lol

UCLA gets out trouble, still 2-0 going to 7.

SCar and Clemson can forever argue over which in-state team melted down worse with a chance to sweep its way into the WCWS. I'd give the fail edge to the Gamecocks, given how yesterday ended and the fact they're playing at home.

Tennessee has a very attractive team.

Let me clarify and say, my wife and I were watching Tennessee vs. Nebraska game last night and today, and Karlyn Pickens throwing heat. But we both noticed she has a circular object on her butt. So do the other Tennessee players that we saw. And we can't figure out what it is. Haven't seen it on other teams, didn't see it on Nebraska... but just stuck out with her pitching.

Does anyone know what this could be? My guess is some kind of biometric monitoring device... but we need to know so we can stop focusing on her butt. 😊

It’s a poker chip all their players have symbolizing they’re “all in”.

Same. They blew that game yesterday, at home

Clemson had the winning run for the sweep 60 feet away with no outs. But Cocks dominated game 2 and melted down

I noticed a big drop off from SEC league play to the playoffs.

That’s the same thing a condom signifies for me. What a coincidence

Reese is an elite hitter. As a catcher, she has a great arm, but is average at receiving.  She is pretty bad at blocking, but I've noticed that is a common trait with many softball catchers.  Blocking in softball is absolutely dreadful, and it's going downhill in baseball too because of all the one knee shit.

Aggie catcher is good at blocking but she takes up a lot of space behind the plate

Noway

Taryne Mowatt threw 1,037 pitches in the 2007 Women's College World Series. That's right — she started in all eight games as the Arizona Wildcats fought their way out of the losers' bracket. Perhaps her biggest feat was lifting that national championship trophy over her head when it was all over.

Danielle Lawry had a similar run for Washington. She threw every pitch of every game for them.
