Congrats to Palace, Newcastle, and Spurs for their first trophies in decades.

Likely 3 horse race for the title with Chelsea and Newcastle as dark horses.

United trying to rebuild after their worst season in decades. Mid table clubs at their strongest ever with deep talented rosters, smart front offices, and really good managers. Tough uphill climb for the 3 newly promoted clubs.

graelish to city was such a shame. just neutered one of the young, creative english talents in the epl. i will say that arsenal’s last 2-3 teams represent the best teams we’ve had since i became a supporter, but damn if i don’t miss when artistry and creativity were still encouraged over this stale, rigid, mechanical way of playing that so many of the top teams now employ.

United still lost in the desert. £60+mn plus huge wages for Mbuemo is insane. Him and Cunha will be 29 with way less resale value when they are close to competing for anything 3 years from now.

He punctured his lung last fall during a game. He’d experienced some breathing  discomfort while flying since then. Him and his brother were driving from Porto (where he just got married) to Santander so he could take the ferry to England for the start of pre season when the accident happened.

Crazy the butterfly effect of something like that.

OH HE WEARS THE NUMBER 20!

Arteta wants Partey to stay at Arsenal

well duh. what did you think he was gonna say, “the guy is efogging arapist, we do not want him back.” until he got charged nobody at the club was going to publicly badmouth him. and whaddaya know? we didn’t extend him after all, we let him go for free in favor of a 31 year old for brentford.

better to say nothing. Partey has been raping multiple different women since 2021.

he was asked a question, he didn’t go out of his way to talk about partey.

I respect your desire to defend Arsenal and Arteta to the ends of the earth but when it comes to a well known rapist maybe the club and manager tell him to die in a fire a long time ago.

dude he’s not going disparage thomas partey publicly when he’s not allowed to even acknowledge that partey is indeed the accused rapist. i have no idea what you think he was supposed to do in this situation other than what he did. he wasn’t allowed to talk about it. that’s it, the end.

please man. Have higher expectations of your management team.

you’re going in circles now. you want me to quote my post above where i say, “he was asked a question, he didn’t bring up partey out of nowhere” so you can read it again?

it’s funny how you’re painting your own delusional hatred for arsenal/arteta as me delusionally defending arsenal/arteta, when what he said/did was literally just 100% stabdaed operating procedure that anyone else would follow. he was literally not allowed to do what you keep insisting he should have done. i don’t know why this is so difficult for you to understand.

Sure I get it, it's coach speak. You are 100% right on that. That is how a lot of teams operate.

But I guess that's my thing/here's the question - I am not cool with the teams I root for letting shit like this go. Is it really that hard to say "yeah, he's going to go with the company line, but man what a bad look for the team/coach/management?"
