you may want to cover your eyes for this WR comp

Wingo: 6 catches for 65 on 16 targets.... 4.06 yards/target

Livingstone: 6 catches for 175 yards on 9 targets...19.4 yards/target

Wingo is not an every down, consistent receiver at this point. He's an athletic freak with a ton of upside that will give you the chance at some big plays.  He's not a chain moving, reliable route running guy. His hands/pass catching ability are average imo.  Is Jaggy? Possibly, too early to tell.

i really miss second half of the season Golden.  He was nails and bailed the offense out numerous times.

Statistically relevant sample sizes, what are they and how do they work?

It never ceases to amaze me or make me chuckle when Sark acknowledges our redzone issues, yet does nothing to address them. I gotta say, it's quite impressive. For someone who people keep calling a "genius" and "wizard" on offense, we sure seem to suck inside the 20. Does genius and wizard have 20 yard to the endzone kryptonite?

I would argue his hands are below average. His catching ability is on par with Gibson's carrying abilities and not fumble.

2 game sample size stats and averages are eye rolls, for any team really, especially the ones that have played FCS opponents or have had 1 of their 2 games against a top 5 team in the country.

And I'm not talking about chronic stuff like red zone and whatnot. If 50% of a player's snaps for the season are against Ohio State, I'm willing to let a little more data be collected before talking about what his average yards per game or yards per catch are, both for the good and the bad.

We had 1 sack through 2 games last year, then had 45 over our next 14 games.

Do you watch the games? The issues go beyond Sark, execution by the players is a big part of it too. If you’re holding your breath trying to wait for Sark to find a way to scheme around the players weaknesses in the redzone good luck. Everyone needs to be better, this isn’t just a matter of Sark having play callers block in the redzone.

Correct, but that input will continue to be ignored.

I’ll share the full write up once it is posted, but Dunlap on OB said he just finished his OL grades for SJSU and a few things stuck out:

-Goosby graded out above 80 on his scale which is considered very good

-Baker actually graded out at 79.13 which is considered very solid

-Stroh was 73 which is horrible and Umeozulu was at 79. He said if Flood sees stuff the same way he does, there is no reason Neto shouldn’t be given the starting nod against UTEP.

I hope the injury report is mostly hot air and about getting young guys reps.

Endries, Taaffe, Moore..  OTF mentioned even more questionable after week 2.

I don't think they will play anyone dinged up these next two games, especially proven players.

Watching this again in slow motion. Millions of dollars on comedy errors 10 men  on the field. Falling down on your own feet. Lazy ass route running. This team is so fucked

Are you a satya sock? All you do on here is bitch and berate the team. I don't understand why you even follow Texas if they are such a constant, massive disappointment to you.

I think it was tongue in cheek, but that was mentioned today by Neuheisel. Stockton has only attempted 4 passes that were longer than 10 yards. If Tennessee can't beat this Georgia team, they never will.

Same with us lol

I do watch the games, but after 4 seasons of this it isn't just on the players, unless they're being taught to suck at the goal line. It's maddening that he can't scheme up a simple screen or an out route, or hell, even a drag route. We have don't have to rely on Wingo, we can use Moore, and McCutcheon has shown he can catch, as has Lockett. We don't have to run Arch up the middle.

I'm coaching my kid's little league soccer team. I just had to do a training session from the Positive Coaching Alliance. Had a lot of stuff about giving encouragement and criticism in a 5:1 ratio, giving "compliment sandwiches," filling players' "energy tanks," and giving players a "mistake ritual" so they can move on to the next play. Which led me to think a lot about the value of shame and how we, as modern Americans, have lost shame as a valuable tool. And I'm worried that Flood has been leaning on the Positive Coaching Alliance playbook a bit too much.

Our OL needs to be ashamed of how they played last week, and the coaches need to be reinforcing that feeling of shame. We need some "Private Pyle sucking his thumb while his buddies do up-downs" kind of coaching. Just some psychologically traumatizing coaching techniques.

This isn't U6 soccer. These men are getting paid too much money to play like children.

Yeah it seems some of this team needs some Augie

College is weird. They include sack yards. Probably the easiest thing to do is just use the RB carries. Just think about the delta between Quinn and Arch on rushing yards.

This is a great point. Quinn took a fuck ton of sacks last season. If you take out his rushing atts and yards Texas in those games was:

Georgia - 17 for 64 or 21 for 63 if you include Arch

Georgia - 22 for 58

ASU - 23 for 54

tOSU - 24 for 76

And while none of those are good those are the worst examples.

Regardless of what Arch turns into he isn't going to have a lot of games with -20 or worse rushing yards.

Just a funny stat but Quinn Ewers finished his Texas career with -59 yards

Texas is 7-26 on 3rd downs. This is a bit intentionally misleading. He throws in the 4 yards to make it look worse. There is not a lot of 3rd and medium (only 3 attempts between 4 and 7 yards)

1-3 yards: 10 attempts, 6 conversions

4-7 yards: 3 attempts, 0 conversions

8+ yards: 13 attempts, 1 conversion

Average distance on 3rd down attempts of 4 or more yards is 10.56 yards. I am shocked it is a bad number. There is no doubt 3rd down can and should be better. The bigger issue to me is that 50% of the 3rd downs are 8 yards or longer. That speaks more to issues on 1st and 2nd down.

Number   Yds to go
1 1    convert
2 1    convert
3 2    convert
4 2    convert
5 3    convert
6 3
7 3
8 3    convert
9 3
10 3
11 4
12 5
13 6
14 8
15 8
16 8
17 9
18 10
19 10
20 10    convert
21 10
22 11
23 12
24 14
25 19
26 25

Has there been any conversation about WR development since hiring Chris Jackson? I've said a couple of times that our route running looks lazy. I haven't seen much development from our non-transfer receivers.

It’s a young group this year. We’ve had 4 receivers drafted the last 2 years. Give the dude a little slack

Those receivers were all transfers. That's part of my point. The receivers we recruit aren't being developed. I would also argue the development curve at receiver is much less steep than a position like OL. It shouldn't take 2-3 years to see results
