Ole Miss 74

OU 69

Nice…..well, we knew OM was really good after our last game.

I think the overall theme is that au might be a little bit very overmatched.

Even on an off night for Booker.

3 years in a row with a championship in volleyball, softball, and womens basketball would be cool. This team is good enough to do it.

97-36

LSU on Sunday

That was Texas' largest win over a conference opponent in Big 12 or SEC play (61 points), surpassing a 51-point win over Tech in 2018.

Mississippi beat ou in Norman

Were averaging roughly 93 ppg and only managed to score 69 against Ole Miss - a good, but not elite, defense.

Texas is going to eat them for breakfast

Chavez - 22 points on 7-22 FG (6-14 from three), 6-6 FT, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 7 turnovers

She had 7 of her team's 17 turnovers and hit all of their 3s. Curious if Vic runs the same gameplan - let Chavez have hers and shut the rest out of the team down, or shut her down with Harmon/Lee and force everyone else to beat us.

OU looks overrated. Probably only played 2 top 25 caliber teams and have lost both games.

I'll bet Vic's plan is to shut errybody down.

To continue some of the previous questions, we won by 60 and Booker still played 30 minutes?

That she only played 30, and Rori played 24 and Lee 26, is good for us. Preston played almost as many minutes as Rori (20)

Probably could have played Judd more than 18 minutes, but Booker not playing 35+ is fine with me. Until Crump is back.

Booker did something to her knee in the 2nd quarter and looked very uncomfortable. She was back in after halftime.

Oldacre absolutely dominated the entire area under the basket.

LSU only won the rebound battle versus Georgia by 8 and lost the o-board battle 14-7

We are going to crush them on the boards. Our strength versus their weakness

Light night for her, compared to the usual 40 minutes. Really need Crump back out there to spread the minutes better.

Judds minutes should increase once she's back in a groove you would think? In the 3 SEC games so far she's +14 +6 +24. Shes one of the best players on the team which makes what Texas has accomplished without her most of the year even more impressive.

Totally.

From Vic’s comments about Crump on Wednesday, it sounds like she’s close to coming back. I guess she broke a bone in her foot or something?

All I’ve seen or heard was that she had a foot/ankle injury….apparently slow to heal and Vic doesn’t want her back on the floor until she’s 100%. So….TBD.

Absolutely have a legitimate shot at a national title. Need Crump back and stay healthy. We’d be so robbed by not seeing Texas/Uconn

Definitely a legitimate shot at a national title. Undefeated but that doesnt even put into perspective of how much better this team can be. Crump and Judd are starting caliber players and Texas has been without both for a good portion of the year.

I’m not aiming for undefeated- @LSU/@South Carolina back to back and then February OU/LSU/UK/@Vandy/@Tenn stretch means we likely won’t finish undefeated. But if we did, we’d arguably have the best resume in the country and be the favorites. We’d be much more tested and hardened than UConn

I feel like the #1 overall seed will have importance. To me there is a big seperation between UCONN and South Carolina with UCLA. The game ended up being somewhat close but we kind of handled UCLA. Much rather see UCONN vs South Carolina in one potential semi-final versus us against anyone else.

I think there's about a 60% chance we lose at least one of the next two games. Beat Mulkey today and go from there.

We already beat South Carolina this season. I want a 3 game streak against the Hag

The analysis is that Texas is better at PG, SF, C and LSU has the better SG and PF.

Coaching advantage goes to Vic

Need a big Lee game

The worry of this game is it feels like a bit of a do or die game for LSU. A loss and they start 1-3 in the SEC and then at OU. They could easily start 1-4 in the SEC if they lose this one.

If they can’t rebound better than they have in their last 2 games, it will be ugly.

Texas is the #3 scoring offense, #3 scoring defense, #1 in turnover margin. LS may be #1 in rebound margin, but that’s based on their cupcake ass schedule.

And for no annoying rash of early fouls on our centers or Booker, please.

LSU is up and down its lineup a more athletic version of Ole Miss, which just showed well against us and OU. We'll need to play smart for 40 minutes on their floor.

9-5 Texas at the first timeout. Good energy on defense to start, but we need to have the defensive energy to put LSU in hell for 40 minutes.

This girl is half of Oldacre's size. Every possession we dont go inside is a mistake.

Agreed. Between Cunningham's three early blocks and Oldacre's dominance thus far on offense, LSU's appears rather exposed on the inside on both ends of the court.

Booker not playing well thus far. Seems to be forcing things and making sloppy mistakes. Two fouls already, too
