  1. Past hour
  2. Barring devastating injury and/or terrible offensive play, I think the Texans might have the best defense in the NFL. The entire secondary and edge rushers are second to none. That’s a deadly combination.
  3. Damn, they bullying that astros fan for that home run ball.
  4. He was calling. Cam was too but he most likely was like fuck this the same shit that just happened is not happening again I am catching this.
  5. more than a year and a half later and we’re still just going in circles.
  6. We have friends in Germany who we've visited multiple times. In the recent past, they were looking forward to visiting us in California. That will not happen with the current environment and the reasons given were not implied, but quite explicit. They don't feel safe or welcome here. Just another anecdote, but this one affects us directly.
  7. Is this what it feels like to have an outfield in which all three outfielders realistically could get a hit in the same game?
  8. Gotdam Dubon has to fucking call as a CF. Multiple X's now. I like Dubie plenty, but come the fuck on.
  9. be sure to call me out the next time you see me “going nuts” in this thread. in fact feel free to back up this assertion with prior examples of my meltdowns over people disagreeing with me in this thread. i welcome it as an avenue for my own personal growth. get after it.
  10. wait... no jumpin fish in the outfield?
  11. no, it is factually *not* a highly contested opinion. countless times in this thread i have ranked our starters from the last two teams, countless times i have invited others to do the same, and countless times, exactly zero of you have decided to partake, because it’s impossible to rank quinn ewers very highly when he’s been surrounded by kelvin banks, jonathan brooks, xavier worthy, ad mitchell, matthew golden, jt sanders, gunnar helm, et al. quinn was never in the top half of our best starting offensive players during his time at Texas. you want to be the first one to actually post your own list, be my guest. here’s a pertinent reminder for you: PFF ranked quinn ewers as the 12th best starting qb in the sec last year, 200th best in the nation. both of those facts have been posted here. now please, go ahead and make your own case that he wasn’t a weak link on our offense during his entire career here. blaze the trail brother.
  12. With all due respect, @TreatyOak, as you are one of my favorite posters, you are full of hullabaloo caneck-caneck. IMO. I was living in CS when the bonfire fell and when Major got sick at the hotel. I have had to sit through Aggie Muster when they spent more time bad-mouthing Texas than they praise themselves -- and we know that's a lot. I had to get the A&M athletic department to withdraw another "Heisman-worthy" RB from my class because he never showed up and never did anything. I could go on, but suffice it to say that I was rewording "Lubbock in the rear-view mirror" when I drove a U-Haul out of that place for good. I love the Appalachian State win, but it will never surpass, for instance, Bubba Jacques' 30-yard fumble return to beat OU in '91. I was in my apartment in Bryan at the time, watching on my brand-new 29-inch color TV, and it was the first time I'd yelled because of a football game in years (because I was still free-lancing some sports at the time, mostly additional coverage of the Aggies for the Statesman -- Bohls was, of course, the main guy). I sat in the press box when Steve McMichael beat the hell out of some Aggie pre-game whenever that was, and my assignment that day was to write about the fight. Haven't been to a fraction of the games many folks here have been to, but I was at the Cotton Bowl for Robert Brewer's 30-yard run to beat Bama. I was around the 20-yard-line of the south end of DKR-Memorial when Mark Berry tackled Darren Lewis to preserve the 1990 win against A&M. I was in the stands in St. Louis and was directly on the 30 when James Brown rolled left. Some radio games: Vince hitting a 21-yard TD with 17 seconds left against KU while I'm in the parking lot of a Sam's Club in Topeka. McIvor crushing the Aggies while I'm listening on American Forces Network in Germany, as well as Texas beating Auburn and Bo Jackson. But mostly I've watched on TV. Vince for the win against USC. Sweed for the win against OSU in my basement with neighbors in Manhattan, KS. I've had a ton of Old Fashioned-fueled old-man primal screams at the TV in the last couple of years -- Bama, Michigan, Texas Tech in our final Big 12 title. Those were all truly entertaining games. But I do love me some App State and Dave South.
  13. That was for Ozzy...
  14. one more run and it's nerris time !!!!
  15. It's impossible to push back on you hyperbolic assertions without you going nuts. He wasn't "scared to death to get hit", as evidence by him getting clobbered multiple times while completing a pass. He wasn't "inaccurate", not by a long shot. He had more than "zero" pocket presence. You are what you accuse others of. I honestly don't think there is some sort of Major/Chris cult going on. Quinn was good. People saw him for what he was. Well, you don't. End of story.
  16. Peterson and Dybantsa matchups should be awesome. Probably going to be #1 and #2 in the draft.
  17. Yknow what only the Trump Administration does, so far? Lie to United States District Judges and fire those who refuse to do it. If Trump's daily lies and those coming from his administration don't make any impact on you, those should.
  18. Galindo is a beating.
  19. Known Longhorn fan
  20. surly thread : 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
  21. are you serious? is this a joke? this is like arguing that vince young wasn’t athletic, that ricky williams didn’t break tackles, that bryant westbrook didn’t hit hard. you’re highlighting the most glaring flaws in QE’s game and not only saying that you don’t believe they exist, but that nobody can back up such wild assertions. give me a second while i go back to march/april and find the posts in this thread (or was it the bro draft thread? 🤔) with that scathing in depth scouting report on quinn which highlighted all of these deficiencies in his game (and more). you know, the one that got posted right before QE nearly missed being drafted completely. not that your own eyeballs shouldn’t have already confirmed all of this for you already.
  22. LMAO you are high. I noticed you ignored my other points.
  23. Swamp boxes for Yainer. Nice work, Sir. Marlin announcers giving credit to Espada for the righties in the lineup today.
