  1. That's a good point. It's uniquely written from that standpoint. Hadn't really thought about it, but now I am thinking maybe that's part of the storyline. It's not like you dislike them profusely, but each has their flaws to keep them from being embraceable. I would have thought by the title and the fact it's a Daniels' vehicle, there would be more focus on the decline of fly over America, but other than the union issue that's been pretty quiet.
  2. And yes, a lot of loose ends. You have the Pittsburg angle, the NYC angle, the union angle, the drug angle, the aryan angle, the abusive ex angle. A veritable smorgasbord of things to flesh out, lol. I would guess the girl ran because the dad had turned from wonder dad to ogre. So she left it all behind, but came back due to some loyalty to some of the people in her past.
  3. I agree about the media going for the clicks when it comes to Trump. The Build Back Better Bill got passed, and instead of stories on all the positives in it, we see stories on GOP being assholes, be it Trump, or his supporters. The best revenge is to live well. This bill can begin that process. The media is still in the stage of trashing the spiteful ex. "The President is not a king. The Plaintiff is not the President."
  4. Death by direct energy weapon is much more likely than an unvaccinated person dying from a virus. Millions die each year from them. These direct energy weapons are space lasers, right? Specifically the Jewish ones?
  5. About 10 years ago some homophobe went on a rampage at our school because The Kite Runner had a males on male rape. Just dumb.
  6. Burr’s Brother-in-Law Called Stock Broker, One Minute After Getting Off Phone With Senator According to the SEC, Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina, then chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, had material nonpublic information about coronavirus impact. He and his brother-in-law dumped stock before the market dropped in March 2020. https://www.propublica.org/article/burrs-brother-in-law-called-stock-broker-one-minute-after-getting-off-phone-with-senator
  7. With everything else going on in the world, and this is what finally horrifies the Internet?
  8. The Nightingale is solid. It's graphic very realistic. Well done, but a lot of the casual reviews from women mention how much it affected them while watching it.
  9. Farmall 806. Big 12 Grain Buggy (with those huge ass airplane tires). Keeping up with 3 JD 95s in a section of milo. Not a cab in sight. Itchy as hell. Had to time pickups for runs into the wind. At night you found the combines going away from you by the orange glow of their mufflers. It was always the buggy driver who kept speed with the combine. Guess things have changed.

  11. "I don't go to church." "She's bad. Well, she's good bad" Where the fuck are you Christians? Why do you keep supporting people from this ilk? SMDH.
  12. They do this, they throw out this outlandish shit to distract from everything else. They claim to be saving the world, but never mention any specifics on what from or how. But since the comments and questions are focused on the preposterous shit she spews about child leave (or whatever) and no one questions her "saving the world" comment, she and everyone else takes that as the world really does need saving. I am not sure it's planned, but Trump has shown this shit to work, and the media falls for it every time. What exactly are they saving the world from? Say it straight out, not inferences. Give facts, not assumptions. Why does it need saving anyway? Haven't the republicans either been in a position to make changes or block changes since Reagan took office? This is the world they built, so I guess they are trying to save it from being actually better for more people. Guess that's it.
  13. The Blacklist Season 8 did not end as I expected. I won't spoil it, but even though the series seems to go through patches of dryness, it delivered in wrapping up this last season. There will be a season 9, too.
  14. It is encouraging they are at least giving the public a chance to comment, instead of just cramming something god awful up our collective asses with no lube. And for my money, they all look too busy.
  15. There were several seasons of both Justified and Goliath dedicated to this.
  16. This. For many "Christians" they don't actually believe in much of the underlying tenets. Only those that can conveniently support their agenda (see prosperity gospel). Amazon has good documentary on Christianity titled Marketing the Messiah. Illustrates how it's always been a malleable religion from day one, with the winners writing the history. Worth the hour and a half.
  17. Murphy Mason is back. I watched it, but it wasn't the best season. Looks like they are setting up for Season 4. I liked sex ed. It's a great show that addresses so much concerning sex and relationships in these schools and communities that want to push only abstinence. Love on the Spectrum and Atypical taught me a lot about autism. I am glad those were made. It just seems at odds that Netflix is standing up to that norm and putting these messages out, but at the same time, Netflix caves on nudity censoring. Every woman who has sex on Netflix does so in a bra. Makes it all kind of watered down. Euphoria on Amazon didn't have a problem with it. Just so hypocritical to me, is all.
  18. Yes, it will probably be more expensive, they have to maintain those marvelous executive bonuses and dividends, and stock buy backs. Y'all are truly lost if you don't think these companies all the way up and down the line aren't soaking everyone as much as possible.
  19. All that is about as clever as this is:
  20. In Texas they do have standards they have to meet. All those STAAR and core classes. Not sure all the charters or home school programs live up to those. Always just assumed that places like Liberty were diploma mills for those coming out of some of those evangelical ed alternatives.
  21. Come to think of it, I think that manure has more value than the GOP platform. Probably does resemble in odor and slickness though.
