  3. This goes over even better if it is a cheap single stem flower & candies that you get from a gas station around 6p. *be sure to eat 1 or 2 of the 12 chocolates ("I wanted to make sure it wasn't poisoned") **flower that unrolls into ladies underwear, one or two sizes up is best. 4. Suck / squeeze / bang / blow Check the fuel line for any tiny splits or dry rot cracks. Make sure the fuel line is seated properly. Get a q-tip & apply some cleaner to it, then wipe down the carb, butterfly, throats, etc. Shock & awe yourself over the schmutz that will come clean. Maybe even remove the carb & get a bit deeper; be sure to not damage the gasket (& check that out for any damage, nicks, splits, dry rot, etc). Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
  5. Kenmore "heavy duty" dryer. Unit is ~20 years old. Multiple issues & I'm too cheap to buy new when (I assume) this stuff could easily be fixed. Will sorta heat on the "normal" setting, but not get up to a "high" temperature. Not heating on the timed setting. Not seeing much (if any) lint on the screen. When the cycle is over, it will buzz incessantly until you pop / crack the door. Help me, Shag²... you're my only hope. Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
  6. I have always heard they were long lasting & use then often for a temporary repair until the insurance company can get an adjuster out to inspect & write their estimate. I think I have had one covered with the Grip Rite product for around 3 months while we argued with the insurer over their shit-tacular estimate. Either way, they are better than the common felt products. Lays smoother, more flat & if if you have to leave any of it on overnight to work the roof the next day, felt will wrinkle a LOT due to condensation whereas this stuff will not suffer the moisture. 7. Unfortunately, Mrs. ROFL is the "Why didn't i get flowers delivered to work so I can show off to everyone" type. & I absolutely hate buying even more jewelry when she already has plenty that never gets worn. My brother has a sensible wife who is the "Hey, how about for Xmas we get a new dishwasher?" type & I resent him for that. Camp Mabry is having a Valentine's "Sweetheart Dance" this Saturday & of course this apparently is a hideous idea... why would I even THINK of that? https://www.tmfhf.org/what-we-do/events/ I also have our 19th wedding anniversary coming up in Early April, so I get to relive this bullshit again in 2 months. 11. Honestly, if you aren't experiencing micro-aggressions between you & the spouse, are you even married?

    Getting old sucks

My back has been hurting (muscular) for quite awhile. Chalk that up to the last 20 years in the roofin' bidness, I guess. Over the last 4 or 5 weeks, I've asked the wife for a rub (no tug) & I get a "well have you done the stretches & taken a hot bath" thing. Finally 2 days ago I responded with "Y'know, every time YOU ask for a massage, I simply say "yes" & 20 minutes later, you're feeling a bit better. All you respond with is "what have you done?" <insert rage emoticon here>
  13. I've seen lots of talk about these in the Facebook Cummins forums. What year is yours? I'm a 2004 & so far haven't felt the need to go that extra step.
  14. Line item responses in bold. @FirstTimeCaller, did you get my PM?
  15. Non sound-deadening response: Where is the build? What city / town?
  16. John Lewis is a known quantity & also doesn't "hide" behind a Shag² avatar, so... yeah. Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
  17. I always have assumed you look like your avatar & of course I'm a Burnt Orange hotrod IRL. Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
  18. I think it was some sort of a cider-y craft & even MIA will tell you he has an odor... sorta like "round is a shape, right?" Hands? Well... we didn't really touch each other so I can't say anything about that.
  19. In no particular order: "ballpark cost on a regular single story 1980's build 1,800 sq. ft." means little for what we do. The measurement is on the "up & over", not the straight line of the concrete slab, etc. The best thing is for you to check your PM & I'll have an offline chat with you regarding a lot of topics, related. Best time to replace, you are definitely onto something. Obv. hail is random & it can show up in random places & times. We cannot predict much other than Spring has a higher possibility. I have plenty of customers who want to wait until "season" is over so they don't have the probability of another strike, so... yeah. & You are right about "dusting", where shingles don't bond due to colder temperatures & high wind can cause small bits of dirt & whatnot to get between the shingle courses. As to the heat, we work 365 days a year if the conditions are right & even in the 100 degree summer days, we take breaks as needed. Supply chain, we are actually doing a decent amount of Home Depot purchases & if it's a ground drop situation where we have to hand load anyhow (cannot load via boom truck due to trees, power or other lines) then a "wholesaler" isn't a possibility anyhow. Also, HD is often lower priced on the same products that we find through the "wholesaler" (i.e. mostly only roofing products). There ARE some specialty shingles that cannot come from HD (recently did roof for @joe dirt & his neighbor to the R - Pflugerville - we used a specific shingle that cannot come through HD unless a stupid high markup is added on. The delay on the Atlas shingle was maybe 3 weeks IIRC & the current HD products is maybe 7 days on the longest. For Central Texas Home Depot, it's Owens Corning & for Architectural / Dimensional shingles (30 year type shingles) with the Oakridge & Duration (Duration is a step above in the Dimensional line... thicker nail line, double cement line, etc). Both are appropriate to use. Depending on your various structure's particulars & product needs / wants, if we got a deposit today, the roof could go on inside of 10 days if needed. Check your PM's.
  20. Do you even overweight Hispanic female, bro? & With 2 or 3 kids under 9 years old who apparently have to stick their fingers into / on every single food item?
  21. Am I allowed to say that your wife is a dumbass?
