  1. My family will be donating to the Hunt Methodist Church. The pastor opened the church to all of us yesterday around 4am and we were there until the national guard started taking people out around 5pm. We had ~90-100 people there, many who were missing family members and/or were injured pretty badly, and everyone came together to donate water, snacks, etc. Unfortunately because everyone left so abruptly in the evening, the church was left in quite a bit of disarray. The pastor and his wife left as well as we were told the Schumacher crossing might not make it. huntumc.org
  2. I apologize. Can’t get the video to post.
  3. My family was directly across the river from La Junta last night in a house on the river side. Absolutely devastated. We are ok but I can’t stop thinking about all the people that won’t ever see their loved ones or children again. This is what we woke up to…it came up about another 10-15 feet after this but we had already evacuated up Japonica hill to the church. I’ve been through many hurricanes on the gulf coast but those never cut this hard. Gutted. IMG_2835.mov IMG_2835.mov
  4. Jamey Johnson is another guy that stays in my rotation pretty consistently. The Guitar Song album is one of my favorite albums.
  5. Not necessarily one of my favorites but I’d throw Vince Gill’s name in the ring for top voices. My top 5 favorites are George, Alan, Stapleton, Whitley and Travis.
  6. I have the Rectec Bullseye. It advertises up to 1000F. Confirmed
  7. User name does not check out.
  8. Pretty sure I watched this guy take that pic from a couple tables over. He should have gone with the chocolate chip bread pudding over the banana pudding. That homemade pita with the whipped feta dipping sauce was incredible. I wasn’t a huge fan of the beef koobideh sausage that came with the pita. I agree overall though that it’s in the running for best in Texas.
  9. I didn’t realize Lori Loughlin had moved to Australia
  10. Who had the Mean Machine as his transfer destination?
  11. Who’s gonna tell him? Fuck it, he’s on a roll…
  12. Taaffe. Do I get extra credit for proper spelling?
  13. There used to be a gluten free restaurant in Port Neches called Gather that made some incredible dishes. One of the dishes that I enjoyed most there was the gluten free gumbo. They made their roux using potato flour and they would even sell jars of it so you could make your own gumbo at home. Might be worth a shot if you make another pot to try making the roux with potato flour.
  14. My favorite decorative touch in that locker room were the bullets holes in those high windows.
  15. I don’t have a dog in this fight but I’m tired of hearing these rules experts come on in college and pro football games and defend incorrect calls.
  16. Nederland upsets PNG 24-21 in Mid County Madness
  17. I don’t think I was traumatized but my first R rated movie was The Running Man with Schwarzenegger. I guess my uncle didn’t feel comfortable leaving 6 year old me at home alone. It looks like that movie is being remade with Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, etc. and dropping at the end of next year.
  18. Brent Venables regularly uses the words tuddy, wifey, natty, hubby and fur baby in conversation.
  19. Everything seems to be trending further north this morning. Definitely need to keep an eye on this in the Houston area, which I suspect most people are not at the moment.
  20. I don’t have a dog in this fight but this game should be over on that check swing. However, extra innings means another drink so let’s keep it going.
  21. Redbird BBQ in Port Neches. Top 3 tray of all time for me. Everything was ridiculously good.
  22. I guess we didn’t shale out enough money.
  23. He is definitely going to be apart of the program.
  24. First you make a roux. Thanks for sharing!
