  1. Also, waking up, especially on the last day when you have to pack, and not having a hangover.
  2. Norah playing along with Mickey. Chill bumps. I wish they would just record an album of Willie's songs...just the two of them. And Mickey telling the Darrell Royal story just makes me smile every time. https://www.norahjonesisplayingalong.com/mickey-raphael
  3. I like this idea. Put it on the Red River by I35, or in Wilbarger County where those bastards are still pushing BLM to take that stretch of land south of the Red River. Fucking thieves.
  4. Ha. No. Just put them in a small, enclosed area with bleach in open containers. Bleach sucks up the odors.
  5. I saw all of those bands in 79 and 80 all in separate shows, (except for Bruford). Was Killer Bees the reggae band from Austin? Man, I used to LOVE their live shows. I saw April Wine open for Molly Hatchet that year. REO on the 9 Lives tour (actually 79) before Cronin pussed out on us and ruined Gary Richrath. Would have to go thru the ticket stubs to see how the other bands played with.
  6. Last one (for a while). Sorry, not sorry if already posted. I just LOVE this version.
  7. And you could likely use some Cheap Trick. Sweet! With that Radar Love drum into.
  8. This version of "Call Me The Breeze" just kills me. Not sure if I like this or a live Skynyrd better.... More twin lead guitars: April Wine, Sign of the Gypsy Queen.
  9. Find a small plastic tub with a lid. Place the pedals in the tub, then fill up 2-3 coffee cups half full with bleach and set them in the tub and seal it up with the lid. Replace the bleach every day for a week. The bleach should soak up a lot of the odor. It might help to take the bottoms off the pedals to let the hippy juice more easily escape.
  10. What a sad, sad story. Peaceful thoughts to all in their circle.
  11. Yep. I love this video where Evan is working on the song, sitting outside of the house with Bruce. And good lord, I love Carrie. She NAILS that vocal.
  12. My mailbox got run over twice in one week by two different people who were texting. It's like they get in their car, start driving, then start texting.
  13. At an Americana forum with REK, Bruce Robison and a bunch of other folks, Bruce said that they make between $4,000-6,000 for every 1 million streams. Years ago, he told me that people weren't going to be able to make albums because people weren't going to be buying albums. That is where he got the idea for his "The Next Waltz" project. Take one great song and one great artist. I'm really glad he is compiling those and releasing them. This is probably my favorite they have done. GREAT cover of a Kristofferson song.
  14. Hohner made really good guitars in the early 80s.
  15. How does that work when you come through customs with a counterfeit item? Do they only target the seller/distributor? Is there a difference if you bring it with you versus shipping it in?
  16. That's just damn good parenting right there.
  17. Never seen him play the piano... Thanks for the info.
  18. I can't wait to get to the bar next to the office and find that the people with all of the medical degrees during COVID are now experts on deep water exploration and recovery.
  19. I heard David Pogue interviewed today the 5 Things news podcast. Link in article. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2023/06/20/david-pogue-titanic-submarine-video-cbs/70340223007/
  20. I hope that has some of the Kim Richey stuff on it. I told her that my favorite part of that record was hearing her harmony vocals "Relatively Easy" and "Stockholm". She had the biggest smile and said, "Thanks for recognizing that. It was sooooo much fun and so nice of him to ask me to do that." He also had Abby Owens sing on the album version of "Heart On A String". I like Amanda's background vocals on certain songs, but her voice isn't as smooth as some songs seem to need.
  21. I actually dig that 3rd one because it is so different than most.
