  1. Buying used is good advice. Mixing brands in the bag is better advice.
  2. Truly a beautiful language. My personal favorite... Also adding this pic from the same trip to keep thread on topic.
  3. Life imitating art
  4. VY and JFF have oddly similar narrative arcs. The apex of those arcs is poetically symbolic of the programs they represent.
  5. “Have you lost your mind? I mean, how is it that you can disrespect a man's ethnicity when you know we've influenced nearly every facet of white America... from our music to our style of dress. Not to mention your basic imitation of our senseof cool; walk, talk, dress, mannerisms... we enrich your very existence, all the while contributing to the gross national product through our achievements in corporate America.”
  6. Or “(Wo) Manchin”. Would love to see the contortions to justify that one.
  7. His wife treats him like cancer is contagious
  8. Presidential medal of freedom...
  9. Just me and my 14yo son. Decided to make some chicken strips.
  10. It wouldn’t suck in fried mac and cheese either
  11. Taking advantage of Mrs. Brownwater’s long weekend out of town to enjoy some judgment free dinners. Three nights in a row of steak and creamed spinach. And I’m thinking bacon may be a permanent add to the spinach recipe.
  12. And this is clear to anyone that isn’t willfully ignorant. Unfortunately the problem isn’t fixing their ignorance it’s changing their will. Good luck with that.
  13. Full sink but we have 2 smaller trash bins in the kitchen. That’s the way to go. Two in the stink and one in the sink.
  14. As in he predates medicine?
  15. Total Wine (Humble location) has a KCSB 11 year (barrel March 18 and bottle April 19). $48. Assume it’s available in other locations as well.
  16. Sounds like Melanie and Ivanka have him shut down.
  17. Yes. Great reviews - Whisky Advocate’s pick of the year. I found a couple bottles and don’t know I’d go that far but for what it is and at the price point... http://whiskyadvocate.com/top20/ http://whiskyadvocate.com/ratings-reviews/?search=&submit=&brand_id=54&rating=0&price=0&category=0&styles_id=0&issue_id=0
  18. By that standard either Weller 12 or antique
  19. No. He makes it abundantly clear that white is white and black is not white.
  20. Blanco = premium in this brand’s demographic
  21. Any vacancies on the Blue Bell board? He’d slide in pretty nicely there.
  22. But can we agree those who don’t pay their share cost those who do more? Similar with credit card defaults or shoplifting, the losses are pushed into other fees or prices and passed along to paying customers. Strange that someone who cheats on their taxes or doesn’t repay their obligations would likely condemn a shoplifter that makes their grocery bill go up to cover the store’s shrinkage loss. And by strange I mean totally expected. In my mind just another example of a selfish culture that gives little consideration to the greater good. That mentality is further enabled by an inclination to seek justification in a sense of victimhood or other perceived unfairness. The credit card workout commercials bother me more than the tax ones. Are you a victim of unfair predatory lending that enabled you to spend money that you didn’t have and couldn’t repay on stuff you didn’t need? No problem that’s someone else’s fault. In fact it’s the honorable thing to do to teach them a lesson by not paying and making them incur those losses pass those losses on to their customers that honor their obligations. All of this is really just finding an excuse to justify acting purely is self interest. I don’t blame trump for this but this mentality (and it’s non-financial corollaries) contributed significantly to putting him in office.
