  1. Our guards. Sigh.
  2. Yeah I disagree with the Scheels commercial. Fuck flags.
  3. Almost time for an erection joke but then there was a penalty.
  4. That was a new type of penalty though! Points to him for being creative!!
  5. He was always pretending to be someone he isn't.
  6. Taafe with the groove.
  7. I don't know about yall but my tv just had a bunch of dudes talking about how much they love flags. I guess they're saying more holding penalties need to be called.
  8. Illegal fucking formation! Is there such a thing?
  9. It's not the same Beck.
  10. I'm now feeling very optimistic about this election. I was hopeful but deeply concerned about Hillary Clinton's election, and pessimistic with a pit in my stomach once the the October surprise went down. With Biden, I felt the same as Valmy. The MSM is what it is. But Harris has adroitly gone around the MSM to connect directly with voters with her ads plus Taylor Swift. Beyonce. The Convention. They've masterfully targeted swing voters and voters. Kamala was also in supposedly deeply red Texas yesterday, 11 days before the election, to rally voter turnout for her and for a Senate election. That provides so much information about where things stand. She's pushing the edges. Women are going to save our collective asses. I'm not spiking the football until election day but this election couldn't reasonably be going any better than it is. If I were on xitter, I would -- at least for the time being -- trim my follows to ~3 people whose reputation I considered unimpeachable, and I'd just scroll their posts instead of looking at my feed if the site was fucking with my feed. I would not, under any circumstances, subject myself to its algorithm. If you're on xitter you're -- pehaps unwittingly -- watching Russian ops happen in real time.
  11. My parents are detached from reality. Mom to a lesser extent but still she's now pretty deranged. 25 years ago I debated whether they were smart enough to recognize that the "fair and balanced" shit they were watching on Bill O'Reilly was total bullshit. I decided poorly. I thought they could recognize the obvious signs that the "no spin zone" was, in fact, all spin. In the years since they went from somewhat open minded to fully deranged. That transition coincided with Fox News's full embrace of Diaper Don during the republican primaries after Fox realized Cruz was a total loser.
  12. Share with them the threads on reddit where thousands of women are saying they'll never fuck a bitch who votes for Trump.
  13. How it's going ...edit link https://www.azcentral.com/story/entertainment/media/2024/10/26/donald-trump-joe-rogan-interview/75862377007/
  14. I fucked up. Had a second tab open.
  15. He's a crime against humanity. So maybe?
  16. Trump: "The cows are gonna disappear. No more cows. No more anything." Trump on the press: "They're so nasty. They're so evil. They are actually the enemy of the people." for the third time in two days, Trump smears Anderson Cooper as "Alison Cooper" (the insult is that he's gay) "They're not into the transgender operations ... or secretly change the gender of our children in school without even parental consent or knowledge" -- Trump's pitch to Muslim voters in Michigan is a series of transphobic talking points Fox News's instant commentary after cutting away from Trump's incoherent ramblings in Novi, Michigan: "A lot of the same things we've heard. He's making his closing argument, even though we didn't hear much of it there." https://bsky.app/profile/atrupar.bsky.social/post/3l7glavj2sb26 links are to the clips of his rally today, which won't embed here
  17. Oh yeah I have an admission: sometimes I forget xitter exists. And I really wish some of you would, as well.
  18. Yes. Perhaps incorrectly, I thought the intent of whomever posted that originally was implying "exclusively."
  19. wrong thread/lack of sleep
  20. Untrue. Long ago I learned how to analyze media and apply critical thinking skills.
  21. I hadn't read to the end until just now https://archive.ph/99UlF
  22. It's from the Post story, quoted above by @Francisco 2.0
  23. I'm outside a surly safe space. I just don't watch cable news. It's not a narrative I'm frequently seeing and when I do, it's easily dismissed as trying to drive clicks and viewers and readers. The news needs a story, especially when corporate profits are involved.
