  1. The neediness and insecurity is proof god is female. (JK ladies. I know that most men are profoundly more needy and insecure than women) That sounds VERY cult-y.
  2. I liked Mare of Easttown. It was entertaining. It didn't do anything groundbreaking. I think it was on par with something like The Night Of. But it's a clear tier below the shows I cite. It's also not as good as some of the shows that didn't make my cut. Perry Mason is better, as is 'I Will Destroy You', which I thought was excellent but didn't quite do enough to land in the top tier. I also agree that the first three seasons of GOT were as strong as any stretch of Succession. But things fell off toward the end of the series and that's why it doesn't hold up.
  3. I've watched the show four times. Watching season 2 for the first time with that fucking halfwit Ziggy and his stupid fucking duck was an absolute slog. But after multiple viewings I understand why the story of season 2 needed to be told and have come to appreciate it and even enjoy it. Certainly more than season 5 and the homeless murder shenanigans. But having an appreciation for a flawed season (when compared to the rest of the series) does not mean you elevate it above 3, 4 or 1.
  4. you must be using the jt rankings, because no one that has actually seen the show would rank season 2 as the best season. unless you're talking about the season in which the best titties are revealed.... for the record its 34125
  5. I saw OFF! at a small club in Chicago. My buddies used to skate with their old drummer Mario Rubalcaba. It was really fun show and it was kinda surreal watching Keith Morris wander around a club considering his legendary status as lead singer in both Circle Jerks and Black Flag. I'm not super into free jazz punk so I'll probably be avoiding them in the future. Bought tickets to the Liz Phair show at the Moody in December. She's doing all of Exile in Guyville and playing the hits off Whip Smart and Whitechocolatespaceegg, I would assume
  6. Not sure about his experience coaching LDS players, but attending college and playing football at BYU would probably impart some wisdom and experience in cultivating relationships with Mormons.
  7. More like Boredwalk Empire
  8. 1) The Wire 2) The Sopranos 3) Deadwood 4) Succession - for now 5) Game of Thrones Shows that could overtake Succession - Euphoria and Last of Us Mini-series that would slot in above Succession - Band of Brothers, Chernobyl Comedies that I would rank higher than Succession: Veep, Curb your Enthusiasm Not sure where Barry fits in or what to classify it as.
  9. Just put together that he died at the same age, and from the same affliction, as Townes.
  10. I will also add, that these are the prized chips in a bag of kettle cooked chips - the ones that folded over when fried. If you can find two stuck together and folded over, you've achieved chip nirvana.
  11. Those are also very good. They're my wife's favorite. I prefer the Jalapeno though. Can't lose either way.
  12. These are the best chips. Everyone else is just fighting for second place
  13. I just cut two pieces of bacon into lardons and fried those up. Threw in about 1/3 or half a cup of diced yellow onion and cooked for a few minutes in the rendered bacon fat. Threw in the green beans to sear up a bit. A few minutes later I added about a cup of halved cherry tomatoes. Then finally added four cloves of garlic I ran through a mandolin. At the end added a few tablespoons of white vinegar and maybe a third of a cup of water to cook the beans through. Would have used chicken stock but didn't have any. They were great.
  14. Cheesesteaks and green beans from the garden
  15. They’ve got enough of em to throw around so no big deal…
  16. Fuckin' a right. Johnny Dee! nineighniiiiiine!
  17. I assume those churches taking a hard line stand against homosexuality are also advocating for the execution of any church member that has been divorced, as is proscribed by the bible. Right?
  18. You think traffic is going to get better with people having to drive to their office every day? And why would places being filled/busy during the day matter if you're in the office meeting your folks in person?
  19. Why the fuck can't I take a call in a bedroom. It's a phone call. One of the only downsides to the Work from Home experience is that now nearly every single communication is on camera, whereas before the pandemic 95% of interactions occurred on a telephone or conference call. We don't need to be on camera for all this shit. I can take a phone call from my bedroom same as from my home office desk. Also your diatribe on professionalism is fucking hilarious given your appearance. Like I'm gonna take professionalism advice from someone who looks like "Jesus just got back from a tijuana meth and cheeseburger bender"
  20. I lived a block away from this guy. I'd still take this over being in an HOA 100 times out of 100
  21. This is what I was going to post. I very much prefer this version to the original, which is still pretty fucking awesome. They also recorded it like a year after the original came out, which is pretty ballsy.
  22. Didn’t get elephant, outfit, or goddamn lonely love last night. But he did close with Danko/Manuel which was fucking AWESOME.
