  1. So which goes first, the drought stricken/no water North TX area or the newly categorized Category 7 Super Hurricanes with 300mph winds that wipe out Houston and the TX coast? If we just make climate change a gambling game we can all have fun, right? Right?
  2. My current skills are Ninja and dynamite clown juggler. Do you think I can get in?
  3. You are missing the long game for the Republican politicians in states like MS, AL, etc… Once they bring back slavery then they will have plenty of people to choose from for that.
  4. Pretty sure they have a No Texans Allowed sign at the border. I was talking about asylum not general. I can’t leave the US since my job won’t allow it. Seriously thinking of getting a home elsewhere, like Seattle for the summers and then if need be use it full time if TX keeps getting worse. The wife thinks anything over 75 degrees is hot (and she is a born and raised Texan) but this is probably not the best climate for what she likes now.
  5. I am in Vancouver right now with the family and my wife wants to seek political asylum and stay here permanently. She does not want to go back to the TX summer heat after wandering around downtown Vancouver this evening in the 62 degree weather. The TX politics aren’t making her too happy about living there either. I told her Vancouver would never accept us so maybe we need to settle on the Pacific NW for a summer home or something.
  6. Which actor has a better resume in such a small amount of time? He only did 5 films; The Godfather, The Conversation, The Godfather Part II, Dog Day Afternoon and The Deer Hunter and all 5 were nominated for Best Picture plus he was engaged to Meryl Streep and then he dies of lung cancer. As far as the OP's question these movies are my 1A and 1B for best ever. I give a slight advantage to Part II just because it seemed so original in the way it went back and forth with Michael's timeline and young Vito's timeline. To me one of the most iconic scenes in any movie ever is Michael giving Fredo the "kiss of death" and saying, "I know it was you Fredo, you broke my heart". In Part II you also get the Young Vito murder of Don Fanucci scene which is perfect and the Fredo scene of him saying, "I'm smart and I want respect" which would have been even better if he was wearing an Aggie t-shirt while he says that. That being said I could probably change my mind over and over and pick part I based on my mood but tonight it's Part II.
  7. Snatch over 12 Monkeys but really close.
  8. Just get on one of these and you don’t have to worry about the po folk. https://www.ritzcarltonyachtcollection.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=1064612570&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn4qWBhCvARIsAFNAMiiKe6msPPea63ZRB8CtgcIX66pEDXRQaQ3aqIRJPHhrSpLqy3UxRIMaAvhdEALw_wcB
  9. Well, I leave Friday for an Alaskan cruise actually(assuming the family passes our Covid test). This will be my 3rd Alaskan cruise in the last 6 years. I took the family 6 years ago and figured we would never go back. A year after that I had to go on one for work with some clients and then the one this week is the result of my father in law deciding he is old and wants to spend his money before he dies so he is taking his kids and grandkids on this cruise and paying for it. (Me with 14 of my wife’s family may not work out so well but we got the unlimited drinks package so that should help). I would highly recommend doing the Alaskan cruise as it gets you to a lot of places you can’t get to if you just fly to Alaska (Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay). Also, it is way more subdued than a Caribbean cruise which some may find boring but I am cool with it. The excursions in Alaska in the ports are really expensive but can be kind of cool. We have done tons of whale watching boats and the first time up there took a helicopter up to the top of a glacier to go dog sledding with Iditarod dogs at their summer camp. As far as cruises go, you just need to understand what you are getting yourself into. They are like a floating all inclusive resort that takes you to a different place every day. The food is decent but not Michelin Star level so you just need to have expectations on that. Avoid Carnival at all costs or you will get the shitty experiences of a bunch of poors on a cruise ship. I would say avoid Galveston departures also for this reason. We do Princess up in Alaska because they are really good with the itineraries they offer and stuff like brining park rangers or naturalists on board to point out all the animals and glaciers you are seeing. We have done Celebrity Cruises over in the Mediterranean/Adriatic and had a blast. Once again, avoid Carnival and cheap priced cruises and you end up with a fun vacation.
  10. Watch the video in the post above yours. It helped me.
  11. Just finished and really dig this show a lot but I have no idea what just happened. I have like a 100 questions. Someone want to explain it to me like I am a 5 year old.
  12. Now that I think about it Lowry may have to go also to match Mitchell or Durants contract so maybe it wouldn’t work anyways.

  14. Pretty sure when the Nets blow this up they aren’t planning on competing for a few years anyways so a 4-6 seed would be great for them but I think they would just want assets to build around and are fine hitting the lottery for a few years to add talent. The bigger question would be if that Miami team is good enough to win a title. They would need to fill up the bench with minimum vets and rookies but this would be their starting 5. Lowry, Mitchell, Butler, Durant, Dedmon would be their starting 5.
  15. I think Miami is trying to pull off a deal for Durant and Donovan Mitchell to get both to add to Jimmy Butler. Just a guess but it is something Riley would try to do. I picture something like Hero and Duncan Robinson and picks to Utah for Mitchell and some package with Bam to the Nets for Durant. There is an issue with Simmons and Bam being on the same team because of the NBA weird contract rules so there would need to be a 3rd team to take Simmons for some assets. This would mean the Nets would be fine getting rid of Simmons which I am not sure about either as they may want to keep him which destroys this whole idea. All of this is just a guess and probably a wrong one and Durant will end up on the Suns most likely.
  16. “It’s about time the Supreme Court started taking down that commie liberal organization known as the EPA. As you know it was created by that libtard, socialist, (checks notes)….Richard Nixon. Well, he was a RINO and was a Democrat plant apparently who just wanted to hurt those good wholesome oil and coal companies” - every current dumb ass Republican today
  17. Shit, that's just a picture of Elmo looking at Texas in the Summer.
  18. I also have hundreds and hundreds of CD’s I haven’t listened to in over a decade (I think I did the Columbia House buy 1 get 12 for free a bunch of different times) but I can’t get rid of any of them or there would be a huge empty space in the closet next to the hundreds of cassette tapes I never listen to. Sadly, I have about a dozen 8 tracks from the 1970’s that were my parents that I have in a box and won’t get rid of for some reason. Maybe my wife calling me a hoarder is actually correct.
  19. Welp. I bought this today to add to the collection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. This is what Fox News does. They aren’t mentioning the hearings today. I flipped over a few times a couple of hours ago and learned that Biden is going to sue oil companies or something to make gas prices go up and also Biden is going to have pop up tents that do abortions in public parks where your kids will be playing. Nothing about Trump being a treasonous piece of shit.
  21. Thanks, I was looking at some places on Mercer Island and then south of downtown Seattle towards SeaTac airport like Alki and Hamilton Viewpoint Park. No idea if these are safe areas or shit.
  22. ACA was pretty popular. Now Obamacare was extremely unpopular. Shows how dumb some of our citizens are. This is actually a good question. The big legislation like Civil Rights, Voting Act, Womens Suffrage, shit abolition of slavery all had probably half the country on the wrong side of history.
  23. Been there as my wife had a few miscarriages to the point we weren't sure if we would be able to have kids but finally got over the hump to have our one child. So under these new laws she would be a criminal for this?
  24. Not sure I want to leave Dallas full time even though I hate the politics here but all evening I have been checking out Seattle for a summer home. I figure I can go the townhome condo route and get a small 2 maybe 3 bedroom place for the wife and I and the kid when he comes home from college whenever that may end up being. Only qualification is I travel for work so need to be near a big airport. Any of you know areas of Seattle that make sense? I’m not a downtown city guy but more of a suburb guy.
