  1. Huhn has really nice arm strength, he can really sling it. Also knows how to put touch on it when he needs to. Nice film for an unranked guy.
  2. I saw that on their website. They seem really happy to sell you all sort of accessories at $150 a pop.
  3. Thread bump. In the market for a fire pit. What's the consensus on smokeless pits these days? Do they radiate any heat? How does the design/construction hold up when left out in the elements?
  4. Sad story. Killed along with his coach in a car accident in his native Kenya. He ran a 2:00:35 in Chicago in October to set a new WR. Seems like he was the odds on favorite to break 2 hours. https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/_/id/39507083/marathon-world-record-holder-kelvin-kiptum-24-dies-car-crash
  5. Kelce already drunk? you know, on second thought, perfectly reasonable level of excitement from a guy who just won the Super Bowl is going to celebrate by fucking a hot billionaire
  6. I dunno about y’all but I’m bored as fuck
  7. Assume he’s hoping to go tOSU OC -> NFL OC -> NFL HC. He wants to be in the NFL but no one would give him an OC gig right now. UCLA was going to fire his ass after this season anyway so might as well bail now for a plum OC job.
  8. Saw my first Haley yard sign today. West U in Houston. Gonna be collectors' items soon.
  9. I wouldn't count out TN at all. Feels like it could be the "next North Carolina" to me. What do you think about the flip side of this question? WI, PA, and MI will probably continue to be a headache for Democrats. MN maybe joining them in becoming swing-y? NM if Latinos move right and young people leave the state?
  10. Interesting to me that you listed Montana. I haven't looked at the numbers, but I've been wondering if there could eventually be enough Californians moving to Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho to make them competitive one day. Basically the same thing that happened to Colorado. Not a ton of EVs there, but it would be nice if they weren't Senate locks for the GOP (yes, I know Jon Tester exists).
  11. My All American Sappy like a TV movie, but also pretty cool that someone made a major Hollywood movie that is 100% about Texas football.
  12. *past performance is no guarantee of future results
  13. I like pointing out that inflation in the US has been better than the UK and Eurozone. Is Biden the president of the EU as well?
  14. Wait how the fuck did Ann Coulter of all people turn on Trump? She's been a Trumpist since before Trump himself was even a political entity.
  15. Is he just going to do a Tulsi Gabbard and grift?
  16. I thought about it a little more after I posted and came to this same conclusion. If Biden wins NC, he's almost certainly already won the election. Trump has to have NC.
  17. Does this mean Texas wants him but he's not interested, or that the player wants Texas but isn't a staff priority at the moment?
  18. Man, it don't make a shit either way. This organization has way, way deeper problems than the name of the defensive coordinator. Worrying about losing DQ is like saying my haircut is gonna cost me a chance to fuck Ana de Armas. Technically, sure, she's not fucking any dudes with bad haircuts. But the truth is, I'm never going to even get within 500 yards of Ana de Armas in the first place. Per the judge's order.
  19. So she did. I didn’t realize that. I take it back.
  20. Some of y’all are setting yourselves up to be majorly disappointed by Taylor. She may end up saying something kinda vague and safe so that young progressive fans can make inferences about her, but I get very strong “Republicans buy concert tickets too” vibes from her.
  21. Do y'all consider NC to be fool's gold for Democrats, at least in 2024? I had NC, PA, MI, WI, GA, AZ, and NV as the 7 states that matter. @Dnaguy made a list in the Trump thread and excluded NC. Its 2020 margin was smaller than MI and NV, about the same as PA. Figured this is a better thread for discussion.
  22. I'm in my late 30s. I deleted my Twitter when Musk took over and my Facebook years ago. Have never had an Instagram, Snapchat, or TikTok. I browse Reddit some (never post) but I'm trying to cut back on that. Other than that, it's just Surly for me. Every now and then, there's something I feel like I'm missing out on (selling shit on Facebook Marketplace, updates from my kids' teachers on Instagram, fantasy football injury updates on Twitter), but overall, I feel way better than when I used to mindlessly doomscroll Twitter. My great hope is that more and more people my age and younger will begin to realize that having social media is not actually a requirement for modern life.
  23. He seems like he’s doing well
