  1. ????? Not sure I follow. Do you mean the Big12 CG, or the playoffs? Because if ou and Texas win out the fate of a possible playoff invite will resolve itself in the championship game between the two. So far as the conference. Everyone else will have multiple losses in conference, and won’t even have a chance at making the Big12 championship game. So the tiebreaker you mention really doesn’t come into play? Or am I missing something?
  2. Feel the same. Don’t forget how many laughed out load about the hire in the first place. And said a lot of bad things regarding the man’s character. He has proven that he knows far more then what many believed. No one is saying he is playoff bound. But, he has damn sure shown that if (or when) he gets equal talent his team will be a tough out.
  3. Someone (I don’t remember who or I would credit them) pointed out that the line splits State were using were much different then anything they had used up until last nights game. And that the wider split was causing Texas some trouble defining responsibilities along the point of attack. The same individual also noted how off balance some Texas defenders appeared to be as the play progressed allowing states guards and tackles to take advantage of this lack of balance and essentially push them out away from the point of attack. This particular fact was noted during the broadcast when the OSU tackle literally pancaked the Texas defensive tackle.

  5. What the fuck is this shit? No one with a brain bigger then a bulls nut thinks that any loss can be statistically quantified as good. Or better then another. They all count the same...zero..dick....nada. Fuck I can’t wait until we are elite.
  6. You’re correct. You didn’t run into the thread screaming aw geez man. But what you did do was attempt to be the smartest person in the room......and you’re not. Not even fucking close. Just cuz your mother worked in the lunchroom doesn’t trump those that actually have suited up and played the fucking game. Asshole...
  7. Oh hell, I’ll always believe there is a human element to it. Seeing ou get called for holding was a perfect example. In fact I saw calls go against them two weeks ago I haven’t seen go against them in years. I also believe the SEC has a secret decoder ring that always favors the teams that benifits the Birmingham Bunch. That is one of the worst kept secrets here in the south. Whether true or not, it has always been believed that SEC officials have their own agenda. And why the conference as a whole doesn’t like traveling outside of their area of influence. It ain’t a fucking coincidence that Alabama, LSU etc all of a sudden became very comfortable playing in Texas. It was only AFTER aggy’s dumb asses let them in did they decide to play an early season tough game in state. Proving it however is an entirely different matter.
  8. Ref’s miss em all the time. Either get better at selling it, or don’t allow it to happen. Take your pick.
  9. Vegas boys ain’t doing it right. Should have posted aggy at 10000/1. Numbers confuse aggy.
  10. Uh, you do realize that Gundy shutdown his own team, right? It is why he gets criticized so harshly. Had he continued to step on the gas with up tempo he could have iced the game doing the very thing that got them the big lead in the first place. Instead he slows everything down trying to protect the score and burn clock which took away his teams advantage and subsequently allowed Texas time to mount a comeback. There is a reason he never gets any love as a great mind, this is one of many examples.
  11. Pregame preparation is flawed. Herman allows his teams far too much emotion, and far too little time being cerebral about executing ones responsibilities. That Rah Rah shit has its place. It works out when things go their way off the bat. If not, one can literally see the air come out of them. Then it takes time to regroup and play as a disciplined unit. Emotion can be both good and bad thing. But playing off of it to start a game is a crap shoot.
  12. He may be a great guy. But if you believe that he should be a defensive starter at a blue chip school like Texas I think you’re viewing it through very, very Orange glasses. He makes an occasional play, but isn’t feared by any offense. Throw in his showmanship and you start seeing nothing much more then a legacy kid. The Willis Reed arm thing last night was just another example. He is not terrible, but he isn’t a starter either. At best he should get a few snaps as a back up to keep a legitimate player fresh. He is owed that much because of his old man.
  13. I disagree. I stated on the record that Texas should be a 10 win team long before the season started. I simply made the mistake of not factoring in Herman’s continued practice of dropping a game where he has superiority at 18 of the 22 positions on the field. There was no one on the schedule that was a guaranteed loss. Tough game? Sure, but not a for sure 100% loss.
  14. Actually, this was a prime example of Herman’s legacy up to this point. Beat a quality team, then drop a WTF effort. He has done this a number of times during his career. Though in fairness it is still a small sample size. You can pick apart this one game play by play if it makes you feel better. But in the end it is just another example of Herman’s biggest flaw. And that is losing a game when you have better players.
  15. I’m not sure football guys agree. Riley is doing some really innovative shit that is getting serious attention throughout college and the NFL. He has proven himself to be quite the politician. Nor has he made enemies during his climb. Not to mention that the money people at the stops he has left hold little if any grudge. And to many peoples surprise he appears to be a huge upgrade on Bob. To those that matter the second youngest coach in the business came within a play of playing for a national title in his first year. And has continued to demonstrate that his scheme is flexible and can score on anyone. Including hanging almost a half a hundred on a vaunted SEC defense. Giving the DC job to his mentor and friend Ruffin is going to shape their defense up. They will be an improved unit going forward including a potential rematch with Texas ala’ round II. But, to your point. What ou fans should start worrying about is that the NFL guys are already throwing his name around talking seriously about him. You don’t get that type of attention being a fraud. And beating them now is going to be a little more difficult for anyone they play.
  16. I didn’t see this result coming. Beatty is dead meat, but this win makes him a solid 3-33.
  17. Yeah, but it isn’t received well. Even when I played, which was a long fucking time ago. You stand down once a team goes victory formation. Regardless of your passion, your peers will think your just a dick. Even NFL guys don’t violate that formation.
  18. Let’s face it, it’s Kentucky. Until we actually see them win games like these it is almost impossible to believe they can.
  19. Solid post right there.
  20. The entire premise of the show is to simply feed the fan bases something to talk about until kick off. And fucking with Texas has been their MO for years, it shouldn’t surprise anyone.
  21. Uh, you could pretty much say the same thing about half the teams in the top 25.
  22. Why do so many give a shit about revenue stream? Y’all on the payroll or something? Ain’t a chance in hell that Texas is going to lose money.
  23. The Domers have found a QB. They will be tough to beat.
  24. Did his old man ever beat ou?
