  7. i dont see beer hall on the celis beer menu. where did you get it and how long ago? wouldn't mind trying that one. they have one now called festbier. i wonder if it's the same and they just changed the name of it.
  8. i hope they are all still in jail come election day and that's 6 less votes for trump.
  9. the one i'm drinking was barreled on 8/9/08. the one I have unopened was barreled on 12/17/08.
  10. been on the hunt for all of the buffalo trace unicorns because I've heard they're out, along with ofbb, little book, boston batch, and parker heritage. cant find shit, but I did run into a pinhook bohemian and picked that up. anybody tried it? it was on my recommended list and first time ive seen it. I am at the point where my bourbon shelf if full and overflowing, so to make room I had the idea of killing all the open bottles that I have duplicate unopen bottles of, so right now am working on McKenna 10, etl, stagg jr, eagle rare, and 1920. I've gone through a pour of each so far, and started round 2 tonight. of the 5, McKenna 10 is my least favorite - lightest, blandest, least complex. eagle rare is the sweetest of the 5. something about their mashbill or process really brings out the corn sugars. I actually like the sweet bourbons, I think it cuts the burn some, but my favorites are the etl and stagg jr, with heavy weight on the etl. such depth of flavor there. I taste the handcraftedness. when you sip it you get the feeling love went into making it. 1920, like all the old forester, is the most unique. its one bourbon I think I could pick out in a blind tasting. doesn't matter which year, I could pick out the old forester. it would be my 4th favorite, but just barely behind the er10.
  11. and he'll still get 47% of the vote. just like when he said grab em by the pussy, they still voted for him. just like when he abused his power with ukraine, they still voted for him. just like when he cheated on his taxes, they'll still vote for him. they don't call him the teflon don for nuthin.
  12. back in the day the trifecta of buffalo trace, makers mark, and knob creek, as all you ever needed. now they're still on the shelf every day at every store for $25 but we spend our days hunting for higher end bottles.
  13. not a big beam fan myself, other than bookers. this reminds me of mellow corn. never again. going to have to mix with coke to finish this bottle.
  14. I didn't mind balcones pot still. thought it was good for the price point. old tub on the other hand, is pure paint thinner. same price as pot still but just plain terrible.
  15. i never thought the country would tolerate a president who said grab them by the pussy. in the past that would have ended every single politicians campaign.
  16. i'm a french model.
  17. not sure why this thread is not in the cloak room. they dt has gotten real fucking cloak roomy in the last few months.
  18. binder slam is the new mic drop
  19. i saw it yesterday. $114 sound about right? It was higher than i expected so i passed. also found a bottle of kentucky owl dry state. this has been on my list so i was excited and thought i scored. turns out its $1000. passed on that one too. but what i did come home with was a sweetheart of the rodeo, and an old elk. both were on my list so i was not too depressed about the kentucky owl.
  20. be prepared for him to win again. i cant imagine what the country will look like with 4 more years of these assholes running the country into the ground, but despite the polls, i am not confident that he doesn't have the votes to win.
  21. Which year is which? I have 2017, 2018, and 2020 I believe, but don't remember either of those names. Granny's Batch is one of them is all I recall.
  22. it will stop when cops keep covering for cops and are held accountable for their errors. if i fuck up at work, i get fired. if a truck driver gets in a traffic accident he gets fired. a cop can kill someone and nothing happen to him. my error is i accidentally deleted all of my company's financial date for the past decade. oops, i get fired. cops kill someone by accident - serve a warrant to the wrong house, shoot someone that's reaching for their wallet. oops, police unions cover for him, still keeps his job, still gets his full pension, etc. and this happens over and over again in city after city. i believe if cops were held accountable there would be less police brutality. they would learn they can no longer get away with it. what's interesting to me is if you listen to a rightwinger, or turn it over to rightwing media - fox, oan, etc, you hear nothing but how terrible the riots and violence are. then you turn it over to liberal media - cnn, msnbc, and you hear nothing but how terrible the cops acted. they are both right but dont listen to each other and are talking past each other. what conservatives dont understand is you can send in the national guard, tear gas them, beat them into submission, cage them but that does nothing to address the problem. when they get out of jail, police brutality still exists and some other innocent person will be killed by the cops and nothing will be done about it. until this is fixed there will be rioting. it's gone on for too long with a blind eye and no justice.
