  1. Anyone booked any trips for the year? This is going to be a busy one for me as long as Covid doesn’t mess with it. SW Ireland in mid May Sand Hills/Prairie Club/Landmand in early July May have a Pine Valley invite in late July. St. George in October: Sand Hollow, Entrada, etc. Trying to work in Streamsong in June but I don’t know if the wife will allow.
  2. Good get by Venables. Kid can fly.
  3. My pettiness level wants me to send her a McDonald’s gift card for Christmas
  4. I’m about done with trying to please both my parents and mother in law on each holiday. As mentioned above, MIL is the morbidly obese ex-school teacher who lives alone a couple hours away. She LOVES the Lutheran church. Plays the organ every week. It’s basically her only time out of the house other than the grocery store and fast food. My wife, a saint, talks to lonely MIL every night on the phone, often on speakerphone. Christmas is my families this year. So generally we go down a Christmas Eve and come back home and MIL comes down for Christmas dinner and stays a couple of days. Well now, since she doesn’t think she can sit in the car for two hours (she’s driven this regularly in the past year) and she’s the one the has plans (playing church services that she volunteers for), we should cater to her and drive the 5 hours from my parents to her. She’s playing the woe is me “I guess I’ll have McDonalds for Christmas” card and “I guess I won’t even decorate because nobody will come see it”. We were just there for Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving. I don’t want to give in. My parents generally wouldn’t care, as they are rational, kind humans. I just don’t want to cater to the MIL’s demands over things she can fix. She can lose weight. She’s capable of driving. She can not play the day after church service. We are both only children with no kids of our own and I know it makes us flexible but god damn.
  5. Saving Country Music has an article up. Prepare to get your hopes up.
  6. I’m tempted to go to Kyle Nix and the 38s and RC and the Ambers at Cain‘s next week just to see if Evan shows.
  7. I’ve heard rumblings that they may be back together. Watch it be a Black Friday sale or something.
  8. I don’t know. Around Christmas, I’ll give you some stories. They are special. I mean she gave me golf balls toilet paper last year, that’s it and bitched that I’d just lose the golf balls, so why should she pay? Side note: I’m a better than scratch golfer
  9. Vic would say no way. That’s all anyone needs to know
  10. My mother-in-law is morbidly obese. Like almost “My 600 pound life” on TLC level. She was coming down to our house for thanksgiving. It’s 2 hours. She recently told my wife “I don’t think I can be in the car that long”. Side note: she came down like 3 weeks ago. So we get to stay in a full size bed with two dogs and I’m 6’5 and about 275. All of this is a ploy because she wants to host at her house. It’s about 1200 square feet. We get to go up on Wednesday because she wants to have “Soup Night” on Wednesday with her extended family. We are talking about 12 adults and 3 kids under 8. She has a coach, a recliner, and a kitchen table for 2. So I guess people will be eating in bedrooms and shit. On Thursday we get to go to the extended family’s home where we can watch Fox News and talk about QANON stuff for lunch where we pray before lunch and before desert. Wife and I will then hop in the car and drive 5 hours to Dallas for Friday brunch with my side of the family. This is throwing MIL into a hissy fit. Why you might ask? She expected us to go to the zoo and see the exhibits the have put Christmas lights on. At 7. Temperature in the 30s. All with the lady who couldn’t ride in the car for 2 hours. FML. She had bought tickets without our knowledge or her expects and now wants reimbursement for the tickets. Last year I had Covid the week before and got to stay home. Covid sucked but I might trade it for this shit show coming up.
  11. Well now I’m googling crawfish cornbread recipes
  12. If this year is supposed to be developmental, how on earth does Sengun only get 5 minutes last night? Just makes no sense.
  13. Lake and UW finalizing buyout
  14. He brought his entire staff from UCF

  16. Sounds like cheaper buyout and canning a couple assistants. Schedule breaks a little easier next year, but the recruiting class is brutal. They’ll need massive portal help to go bowling.
  17. Could not be more of a Mike Boynton fan. That press conference after they got the hammer from the NCAA was a tough watch and he handled it so classy.
  18. 66 rushing yards and 66 passing yards. That’s what I call balance! FML
  19. Thanks. When it happened, I don’t know why my initial reaction was to come vent here, where I know absolutely nobody. The care and support from total strangers makes this place special.
  20. Tomorrow marks three years since we lost our daughter at 8 months due to an umbilical cord issue. It’s weird that we are beginning our first time with the fertility doctor on the date of our daughters passing. A lot of mixed emotions. Still so much baggage and trauma but yet so hopeful for the future.
  21. The Connell‘s - “74-75” is another good one. Dexter Freebish “Leaving Town”
  22. Not to mention their best song “Are you Ready for the Fallout?”
  23. Come on Eileen -Dexy’s Midnight Runners Romeo’s Tune- Steve Forbert
  24. Would you ask if he has any recommendations on other places to play that are closeish to our route if we can squeeze them in?
  25. Thank you! We definitely have a van and driver so we can relax as much as possible in between rounds. His sentiments on the golf courses echo pretty much everything I’ve read. Pretty excited to go.
