  1. Think OP may have offset his frustration of the carjacking with his abject excitement of posting the price of his car and watch on surly
  2. Baylor with twice as many players drafted thus far than any other team in the conference. Good job everyone
  3. First date + rose in the margarita = guaranteed getting laid.
  4. Any of you other cool AISD elem kids scratch off the 'E' and 'R' on your covers so it read "ButtKrust"?
  5. Yea, 2011 gets thrown around a lot on this thread (and its previous versions) but this is all starting to feel really familiar. Even down to the 7day forecast with 10%-20% daily chances which never seem to come to fruition.
  6. Less than 1.3" of rain since first week of February at Camp Mabry. Is that good?
  7. 46% in NW Hills. Cool cool. Prop A coming home to roost.
  8. The Gypsie family (?) has firmly established its presence at 1-2 of the key NW Hills intersections from sundown to sunup multiple times a week now. I haven't seen them speed away in their vehicle but I'm sure it's nearby. This must be a giving neighborhood because every time I pass them someone is handing out money 🙄 [Stupid question immunity: Is Gypsie derogatory?]
  9. When the city (and 56% of its finest citizens) successfully forced this thing down our collective throats council kept touting how the feds would be kicking in the costs for *up to half of it* but at a number to be determine at a later date. Has there been any progress on that front or are we going to inevitably find out they’re going to only cover a couple hundred million of our soon-to-be $10B+ project?
  10. @dcbc did I miss it in this thread or have you shared your enchi recipe yet? itsbeautiful/raidersofthelostark
  11. I haven’t seen anything online about it so it’s probably nothing but they looked nearly identical. Even down to the the same crooked front teeth Adam Scott has. The shot which followed was an immediate zoom in to outie Mark too.

    Burgers

Awesome burger. Def worth checking out. He’s usually got a standing gig on Rainey, no? If you can’t get one next time you’re in swing by HoldOut Brewery on West 5th. Very similar and there are some connections between the two too.
  13. That poor guy with the window seat would rather be in an abandoned Russian tank outside Kiev than sitting next to her right now
  14. Is it Mexican Wildfire season already? This sky today is gross
  15. That's amazing footage. Can't believe a drone would be able to fly that close
  16. It’s scary how similar Yeomens and Spencer are to one another
  17. Maybe sit this one out for a few months
  18. As Austin grows we’re seeing a lot more in the way of direct flights from our lovely city across the pond. I’m thinking about taking the family to London this summer and would like some of surly’s input on flights. I fly quite a bit domestically but it’s been years since I did any transatlantic travel. BA is now offering their nonstop to LHR on the A350-1000. Virgin Atlantic begins in a few weeks on the new Dreamliner. We’re doing another trip later this year to Switzerland so I’m not springing for the first class on this trip, likely just premium+ for London. With that in mind, which is the “nicer”, more enjoyable airline experience between the two? Everything I’ve done in the past with Virgin has been excellent but I believe the 350 is the much newer plane, correct? Not really worried about a couple hundred dollars difference if it yields a more comfortable, easier 9.5 hr ride.
  19. That was super interesting. And frightening.
