  1. Strongly recommend visiting Franciacorta next time you are in Italy - so many great wineries. Had this the other day... really nice. I've always enjoyed their wines. This one was really really good.
  2. All the pictures look great. Rome is definitely a lot to take in... I've been 10 times or so because of family and there's still plenty I haven't seen. Case in point... those crowds at the Vatican are why I haven't been inside the Vatican museums. Just don't want to deal with it and when in Rome, we always seek quiet spots and lesser known areas. Not sure how it is these days but I always loved the relative peace of hanging out on the Palatine in the Forum.
  3. My regular reminder of why I have no interest in living in the hill country But Llano sure is pretty... nah!
  4. Yup. When I looked around and said, "y'all were pissed about Bill Clinton and his character but this guy is OK because he's your guy?" That was it. Never looked back.
  5. Man, there's nothing satisfying about any of those. Just awful. Awful for the people attacked... awful to see dog die. Not saying they didn't need to do but still not pleasant.
  6. I love Argentina... really do. Buenos Aires is one of the great cities of the world. Visited four times and loved it. The country has so much going for it... AND YET they repeatedly elect monumental idiots who screw everything up. Has a country ever had so much potential and consistently screwed up regardless of who is in power? I mean, seriously... they keep electing idiots.
  7. So if you're staying by the airport in Orange County for some meetings and have time to burn, any ideas? I'll probably just drive down to Newport Beach somewhere. Maybe watch someone die at the Wedge.
  8. Interesting about FLL The pollution in the Inland Empire (aka Ontario, Riverside, San Bernardino) is something else. Still remember the smog being soooo thick once that our plane was not able to land and had to circle back and give it another go. It was brutal.
  9. Can't say we've had enough rain to scale back the drought response. I mean, we're not nearly out of it... not even close.
  10. Lots of POS spectators... https://meidasnews.com/news/j6-convict-removed-from-fauci-hearing
  11. We are in agreement
  12. I really really really can't stand the old complainers constantly whine that music is dead in Austin. Maybe music is dead when you're 70 and sitting at home watching Wheel of Fortune but it's not dead in Austin.
  13. Death by Taco truck is not the worst way to go
  14. Was thinking of going but while I appreciate loud and high energy, I wasn't sure if Rickshaw was going to be my thing. Sounded like a cool show.
  15. Which one was the influencer?
  16. On the railing for Thievery Corporation at Emo's last night. Was so good...
  17. Data only accurate to April 18...
  18. Sounds like a good backup plan... #badideajeans
  19. They live in Chinese lanterns. When they get wet, they fall apart.
  20. They'll cope in their own way
  21. But for real, this looks great for the 7 day estimates. I mean, take it as long as we can before the furnace turns on...
  22. Severe weather is bad but keep pouring rain on Texas and knocking the temps down, plz
  23. It's real and it's spectacular
  24. Uhm, do they not remember how many fervent Trump supporters acted towards Chinese Americans during the early days of Covid? Strange bedfellows indeed...
