Not really the day for it, but it's fresh in my mind so I'll post it now. This is the perfect example of Austin being perfectly primed for Athlete NIL dollars.

I've been hearing radio ads about it in the morning. Dick's Sporting goods takes an athlete from every major market to decorate a Dick's Sporting good's store. Houston gets Simone Biles, Dallas gets Dak Prescott, San Antonio gets Chris Paul...and Austin gets, Quinn Ewers. One of these things is not like the fucking others, and in the best possible fucking way for Texas. Somewhere upthread or in another thread, we saw screenshots of aggies complaining about Austin, and saying they should tap into the Houston market more for coprorate NIL dollars. Good motherfucking luck. They're shooting for NFL players, MLB players and then below that there's homegrown stars like Biles, and then after THAT they can get in line with UH basketball players.
A number of us have been pointing this out for years, and some folks get it, but it's still nice to see it perfectly illustrate in a statewide promotional campaign that is getting massive amount of dollars spending promoting it.
But I mean, college station still probably has a Play It Again Sports, or something.
