  1. so A&M bringing in Klein basically completely resets their offensive board, doesn't match up with the talent they have on campus and doesn't really have any built in advantages in that they were not recruiting the same dudes as KSU. realllllllllllllly interested to see if they move on from their QBs, Anthony Maddox and Miles O'Neil. assume they are with Maddox saying he is going to visit. their current class has no offensive skill players in the top 10 of their class and their highest ranked skill player in the composite is a TE ranked #410 who is the same overall score as the #63 player in Texas (Ernest Campbell) offensive players in their class (non OL): TE Eric Karner from IL WR Ernest Campbell WR from Refugio who is 5'8" QB Maddox QB O'Neill WR Jaylan Hornsby from NJ WR Debron Gatling from GA
  2. so far, you appear to be just as bad at talking shit as you are at talking football.
  3. it's honestly impressive that this is the 2nd biggest game in the history of your entire program and this is the best you can muster trolling wise
  4. here's how they compare in the CFB composite ratings that CFBNate puts out full size link: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GAlSpp5XIAAwgDI?format=jpg&name=4096x4096
  5. yeah its been posted as being official to Madrid and then Fabrega who i thought was super well thought of (maybe not?) said it wasn't. i know that the Catalans will fight tooth and nail to at least stay on the calendar. them losing the Spanish GP is bad enough but to lose it to Madrid and lose your slot on the calendar?
  6. he's been behind Barron in an -OR- situation with Guilbeau all year. as you noted - Guilbeau must have been injured some, only played in 7 games. Jordan plays on ST so he's been in all 12 fwiw.
  7. i think the stadium one below one is infinitely more meme-able, plus i have the lucchese's that he's wearing in that DCTFB cover and don't want to associate them with Jimbo.
  8. Vacuum Wars just put out their best of 2023 videos recently. The Dreame L20 Ultra just unseated the top of the line Roborocks/Roombas +
  9. updated to include Cushing not Johnes and the DB coach currently: DL - Sean Spencer (was making $1m at Florida, nothing i've seen has said he was getting the Co-DC title) LB - ??? Edge/OLB - *DB - Brian Gross-Armeiento (holdover, was making $450k, rumored by Looch) CB - Ishmael Aristide (Duke) OC/QB - ??? OL - Adam Cushing (Duke, no news on OC title though) *RB - Trooper Taylor (Duke, rumored) TE - ??? WR - ??? with the AHC, Co OC x2, Co DC x2 and potential ST Coordinator titles still to be given out. so, i am assuming they are absolutely big game hunting at the remaining positions and going to try to lure an QB coach with the co OC title, have some kind of recruiter at TE/WR and then bring in someone with the co DC tag at LB? as it stands they have 1 top tier recruiter on staff (Spencer) and a whole lot of question marks.
  10. evidently was heavily considered at UTEP before they hired the guy from Austin Peay
  11. analytics are a tool, not a panacea. i am quite aware of that, promise! analytics help fill in more of the picture vs just using the eye test - ultimately you are correct that you have to use them both to get closer to a full picture. analytics do help a ton and are more useful at the professional levels where you have just so much more of them - both historically and in the moment/season/game. re: 05 i looked at the box scores specifically because i don't remember the start of the year in 05 box score wise. the reality was Selvin and Charles split carries pretty evenly (14/8, 10/5, 11/10, 15/11, 10/9 for the first 5 games) with Melton getting the goal line/short carries. just completely and totally forgot Selvin Young existed for 2005 and assumed Vince soaked up a ton of attempts - which he did. so my fault there for sure. this is me in general on the internet, and has been for a long time, but i typically need to bite my tongue and avoid idiots - this is a prime example (Jaydon Blue = Jamaal Charles from that poster who has shown a ton of bad opinions)
  12. currently: DL - Sean Spencer (was making $1m at Florida, nothing i've seen has said he was getting the Co-DC title) LB - ??? Edge/OLB - DB - Brian Gross-Armeiento (holdover, was making $450k) DB - ??? OC/QB - Kevin Johns (Duke) OL - ??? RB - Trooper Taylor (Duke) TE - ??? WR - ??? with the AHC, Co OC, Co DC x2 and potential ST Coordinator titles still to be given out. so, i am assuming they are absolutely big game hunting at the remaining positions and going to try to lure an OL coach with the co OC title, have some kind of recruiter at TE/WR and then bring in someone with the co DC tag at LB? as it stands they have 1 top tier recruiter on staff (Spencer) and a whole lot of question marks. at this point it sure seems like everyone is using them to get raises where they are or that assistant coach pool really is shit. the SMART thing for them to do would be to wait and poach dudes after bowl season, but there is no way they are actually doing that. --- wonder if they try to keep Coley (was making $950k) since he could potentially slot into the WR or TE role and could save them some money big picture and is flexible offensively since he's mainly a bag man/recruiter not a developer/coach. OL - highest paid OL coaches no clue what they try to do here, but knowing them they will want to make a splash so someone like the LSU coach (Brad Davis, no co OC title) or Alex Atkins from FSU (OC title, no long history with Norvell) or TE - highest paid TE coaches Coley is the 4th highest paid TE coach. LB - highest paid LB coaches if they want to make a splash here is where they can. the top guys all make over $1.5m You know they would love to pull someone like Matt House away from LSU. this would require a co DC title. DB - highest paid DB coaches --- fucking Trooper Taylor kills me. you look at his coaching history and he is straight up a bagman. has coached WR, CB and RB in the last decade alone. idk what juice a 53 year old whose spent the last decade in the wilderness (Ark State, and Duke) brings over Marquel Blackwell but good luck. this hire alone shows how just terrible their coaching network is. at least Tom Herman was able to moneywhip Stan Drayton to come back to college from the NFL. Duke Coach stuff Duke's OL Coach is Adam Cushing - Coaching history: Duke's TE coach is also their ST Coordinator - Patrick Dougherty - coaching history: WR coach is someone named Zohn Burdern - coaching history: christ, as fired up as we were about Tom Herman's comfort hires this is somehow even worse. they don't have a recruiter on the level of Beck/Drayton yet on offense. Todd Orlando/Naivar was someone you could at least talk yourself into on defense then. Oscar Giles was a known quantity. They should absolutely reject hiring fucking Trooper Taylor. just an absolute swing and miss all the way around.
  13. they are way better at the underlying stats YoY 2022 vs the #59 SOS (ELS): 2023 vs the #2 SOS (ELS): so they were better across the board, got more turnover luck, gave up fewer TDs and then got a nice SOS adjustment.
  14. in what is the wildest shit ive seen in a while he is not a player that exists in ESPN's database, so he doesn't show up in the box score for 2005 at all. only 2006 for some wild reason when he was at Texas 02-06. i thought he got hurt one year and guess i thought it was 05. my bad totally and completely. 2005 Texas Rushing stats @ Football Reference: 2005 Texas Rushing Stats at ESPN:
  15. you keep saying this and i think you are confused. are you talking about him wearing a cowboy hat?

    Below Deck

yeah, at this point even my wife is phoning it in. the show needs a shake up, and if they are pushing Lee out but not Sandy? yikes.
  17. RB Room rushes by game for the first 5 games of 2005 ULL - Charles 14, Melton 6 Ohio State - Charles 10, Melton 2 Rice - Charles 10, Melton 14 (3 for Melton in the first half, 11 in the 2nd half of a game that was 42-0 at the half) Missouri - Charles 15, Melton 9 OU - Charles 9, Melton 2
  18. Jamaal Charles as a true Freshman led the Texas RB room in carries (119) for 878 yards, averaged 7.4 YPC with 11 TDs and had another 14 catches for for 157 yards and 2 TDs. Jaydon Blue through 2 years: 71 carries, 5.2 YPC, 372 yards, 2 TDs. 10 catches for 90 yards and 1 TD. still 3rd on the team in carries, had to have an injury to Blue to actually get carries and just had 10 carries for 3.3 yards against Oklahoma State. you should post less.
  19. https://insideevs.com/news/699260/tesla-cybertruck-porsche-race/ Tesla Cybertruck’s Race Against A Porsche 911 Was Apparently An 1/8-Mile Run Tesla CEO Elon Musk claimed that the race was a quarter mile, but a satellite view of the drag strip tells a different story.
