  1. Of those options, I would go with the Cambridge amp and KEF speakers all day every day. I have heard disturbing things about NAD's quality control in recent years. KEF is a highly reputable company, Fluance is one of the newer kids on the block and I just think I'd go with the old guard.
  2. I will not be shocked if he goes after AOC, either via the DOJ or ICE. He has shown that he has no problem deporting immigrants, and he has said he will now target US citizens. She's probably near the top of the list.
  3. Thanks for the summary. Some of us are huge fans of the school but don't have the time or even interest to dive into this stuff. Never hurts to ask the question.
  4. Good dog(s). We're nearing the end with one and are starting to sense some change in the other. They bring so much happiness into our lives. Not the sharpest knives in the drawer but huge personalities.
  5. So the average swim/soccer/etc. athlete will get a reasonable ($44K-ish) cut of that $20.5M and the superstars will be funded externally? Or will some of that big money come from the $20.5M?
  6. Not as I understand it. I don't see indications that third-party donors are excluded but I've certainly read multiple and seemingly credible media summaries that talk about the school's direct NIL payments falling under House. That said, if I'm wrong, educate me.
  7. CDC has said UT wants to expand its 266 scholarships to 466 once the House settlement is resolved. Now, an average is a grotesquely inadequate calculation, but $20.5M annual that's an "average" of $44K annual per athlete. Obviously a few superstars will bank far more than that but I find it unlikely that they'll chew up $10M or more for a half dozen kids. Maybe they will and the rest will just be told to suck it, but I think it's going to change things, and drastically. Quite possibly for the better, because this shit is getting out of control.
  8. Not many schools (even private) can do that. Harvard is reportedly risking $9B in federal funding. Their endowment is just over $50B, and even so they would be restricted in how they use it. This will lead to serious program cuts.
  9. I mostly knew him from Dazed & Confused, but he was fantastic in that role.
  10. He was Haitian?
  11. I don't think he played much point before late in the season.
  12. Sure. My other thoughts are (a) they wouldn't need propane, they could be all-electric and (b) if they were truly a month out from occupancy, why would the propane tank have already been filled? We had ours installed and filled on the day we moved in.
  13. . . . with the Arky and Texas series on the road for them.
  14. You do realize a very common residential propane tank has 500 gallon capacity? Leak all that into a house and it's definitely a large bomb.
  15. Not BBQ, but their chicken fried steak didn't suck, at least 20 years ago.
  16. I assume that SEC standard holds. This is just coming from a UGA insider, who knows?
  17. Ice cold schooners of beer don't suck. The food was always very "eh" at best.
  18. It's way too early to speculate, but that's never stopped me before. I would expect a considerable number of lawsuits will be filed against the contractor. The homeowners were apparently a month out from moving in, so I would assume they had not yet received a certificate of occupancy.
  19. Vols rumored to be going after UGA bench warmer Jaden Rashada. I'm pretty sure he never to a snap for the 'dawgs. Played 3 games for Arizona State in 2023.
  20. They beat us last year. Different Texas team to be sure.
  21. It's pretty muted over there. I think our #1 ranking has taken the wind out of their sails.
