  1. I think I need to see a doctor.
  2. If you think of it in real time, can you post the artist reveals for that?
  3. Are they part of the Brown Hornet collective? I saw them provide the soundtrack to an old silent film (Nosferatu?) at the Paramount, it was very cool. I think Graham Reynolds played with them.
  4. Yeah, my dad (PhD professor) taught me that "professor" is universal enough, but to never use "doctor" for a non-PhD.
  5. Where was that? I only had one who DIDN'T have a PhD, and he was like 90 years old.
  6. Mobile sucks. Biloxi is much better. We stayed at this place in Biloxi, it's about a 30 second walk from the "beach". More than nice enough, and not very pricey. White House Hotel Biloxi
  7. I'll defer to anyone who knows better, but my gut says no. We will host a regional, and the other 3 teams are probably close to set, given the committee's propensity to keep travel down. Maybe it matters as to who we draw for a super?
  8. I love Stapleton's voice. I'll add a wild card, not technically perfect but incredibly iconic: Lyle Lovett.
  9. I thought we weren't supposed to dox people around here?
  10. Coursework? Yes. But my grad research and subsequent career path was in structural FEA and electromechanics. I have finally come full circle and I'm now designing loudspeakers, which is what I wanted to do in the first place.
  11. The implication is a 2.5X increase in strength-to-weight ratio: “We might densify the material by 4x and you might think, ‘Oh, it’ll be four times strong, because it has four times the fiber.’ But it’s actually more like 10 times stronger because of all these extra bonds that get created,” Lau said.
  12. I don't think I could imagine a more Aggie statement if I tried. *rein
  13. Do they have a Chili's AND an Outback Steakhouse? Because that would be cool.
  14. Oh, and the way his hair magically gets longer when he plays guitar. And also the way he flips his guitar over to play lefthanded. I need to work on that one.
  15. I love his little tiny squirrel hands flitting around with absolutely no relation to the song whatsoever.
  16. Not as old school as most of what has been proffered so far, but I always loved Martina at her peak, and this is her peak. Less than 3 weeks after 9/11. Much like the Tom Petty clip that has gone around, you can see she is seething, even if the song wasn't written to directly address the elephant in the room. She was an absolutely monstrous singer in her prime. And, I should note she clearly never relied on auto-tune. Pull up some new live performances and you will hear what I mean. We all get older, she chooses to do it with total integrity.
  17. Finally saw it tonight with very little attention paid to the hype. I enjoyed it. I definitely loved the music, but I thought the (intentional?) low budget horror scenes were kinda silly. Defintely worth the price of admission, though.
  18. I have spotted the flaw in your plan.
  19. Exactly. I've been saying this for years now, and all I catch is shit for it. Personal attacks, neg rep, threats of banning, ACTUAL banning (at my request).
  20. I'm pretty sure it's not $3M per card. Outside of the UT connection, I'd be curious to find out how many years are locked up in the agreement, and what other players are getting.
  21. Yeah, ever since they lost the sweetest person on earth it seems they've become very surly. /s
  22. I can only assume he is drawing upon his own observations of A&M's vast experience at winning the College World Series.
  23. That doesn't support the "10X strength to weight" claim.
  24. It was touch and go for a bit.
