  1. I'll take your word for it. I don't recall either, but I don't read every post. OK, I laughed. I haven't moved any goalposts. I wouldn't give sole credit to any player, ever. Even VY.
  2. Well, maybe. He was a direct report (or at least in near daily personal contact). Perhaps that means he DID drink the Kool-Aid.
  3. If you can produce one post on surly that claims Quinn Ewers was the sole reason we succeeded the past two years I'll kick in another $100 to Mobile Loaves & Fishes.
  4. Can you please name names? From surlyhorns? I keep asking this, and nobody seems to be able to point the finger. I'll suggest two: @strawman and @redherring It's bullshit.
  5. "Modest" given the older guys on the roster, but Wingo (at least) shows clear NFL potential. Cook could have. I don't think it's ridiculous to say that Ewers had a part in bringing in a lot of talent.
  6. Sark obviously credits Quinn with being a talent draw, on top of his performance on the field (whatever you think of that).
  7. I can't believe I haven't posted The Living Pins on this thread. They should be bigger. Basically, they're a duo with backing musicians -- Carrie Clark (Sixteen Deluxe) and Pam Peltz (Ursa Major). Slightly fuzzy psych-power-pop. Really catchy stuff. Check 'em out.
  8. Yeah, well guess what? You're not outside of surly.
  9. Oh for fuck's sake some stupid talking head says something stupid and you use it in an argument with a bunch of people who aren't saying anything of the sort? Seek help.
  10. Who exactly is doing that? What the fuck is your malfunction?
  11. Well, we hired him. I'm not entirely sure if he enjoyed his time there or not. He had been at SpaceX a few years prior so he definitely knew what Musk is about.
  12. A co-worker was in management at The Boring Company. For 3 months.
  13. Surely they meant students are going to be taught about "discrepancies" in the 2000, 2016, 2020, and 2024 elections, no?
  14. So a QB is helped by an elite receiver, of which we had only one in 2024? Huh. And before anyone accuses me of saying Ewers = Brady, let me reiterate for the eleventy billionth time that I believe Ewers bears significant responsibility for our inability to get past the semifinals two years running. So do a bunch of other guys, some of whom have a permanent spot on the sideline or in the booth.
  15. He's hoping the trans part doesn't get out.
  16. I know as much about pitching management as my dogs do, but I'd think Harrison 1 and Riojas 3. No idea on 2. We have to find a "Friday" starter.
  17. "We" are the priests of the Temples of Tractors All your "farm" equipment fills our hallowed halls (eh)
  18. I was specifically referring to you implying that he thinks of Ewers as Tom Brady. Let's not get too far over our skis in assessing an inability to deal with criticism of one's position. Again, produce the "receipts" that you claim to have. You continue to fail to do so, likely because you just make shit up to bolster your "arguments".
  19. Question that is apropros of little, but I can't find a "punk" thread: somebody tell me about The Viagra Boys.
  20. Someone else probably has defense-only stats, but I will note that Sagarin has the Texas strength of schedule as #7, and Louisville's as #48. Does that reflect the quality of defense each QB faced? Probably not, but I have no idea in which direction the error is, much less the magnitude.

    2025 ACL

Prices are already through the roof. All 3-days are sold out (both weekends) and Saturday is sold out (both weekends). Aftermarket 1-day tix are roughly as much as the official 3-day tix were. We're out unless some private sales come up at the last minute.
  22. 1.2M in the United States, 7M worldwide
  23. Interesting analysis, thanks. One would think it doesn't tell the whole story, especially since Shough went in round 2 as opposed to round 7. Ewers' tendency to get injured and his lack of pocket presence are likely the biggest differentiators, no?
