  1. If you've gone swimming in Barton Springs, that water is typically ~ 71 F except in the shallow end, where it's a bit warmer. Key West claims 69 F- 73 F water temperature during the winter, so very similar.
  2. Outside of Hawaii? Not really. Even Key West gets chilly. I'm not sure how far south of there you'd have to go to enjoy the water.
  3. Well, it's not like a cop choked a black guy to death.
  4. We should be the new #1. We lost to LSU, pig lost to Ole Miss (who we beat).
  5. Dear sweet baby Jesus, please let them take two from UTenn. It will be the gift that keeps on giving.
  6. These guys are really tough. They just don't get down when things look less than optimal. The discipline that this coaching staff demands is really paying off.
  7. Damn, Flores. Well done!
  8. I'm rewatching the doc about Isbell shot by Sam Jones ~2019. Somebody tell me -- besides being hot and weird, does anyone think Amanda Shires is actually a good fiddle player? She has this reedy tone and is consistently off pitch. And weird. But hot.

    Pizza

That's the fussiest menu I've seen since I went to DeSano (once). Jesus, people. Sell me the fucking pizza I want.
  10. I didn't say he was a good shooter. He's not "awful". Carry on, we aren't going to agree on this.
  11. Really? Outside of the two guys who made 1/1 and 2/2 3-pt shots, he was our best 3-pt shooter (8/20 = 40%). His FG% was 50.5%. He wouldn't be my first choice to take the most shots, bur he is nowhere near "awful".
  12. I saw Journey 15 months earlier, with Gregg Rolie on keys. I preferred that lineup. They were great. For some stupid reason, Sammy Hagar headlined, and Journey and Judas Priest were support acts. Give me a fucking break.
  13. I really like that song "Who's Crying Now", especially considering their quality of work was getting really cheesy by that point. Schon was a monster (but weird), Perry was obviously a monster, Steve Smith was a monster, and Cain was talented but an utter douche. That band could fucking play.
  14. Your favorite steak salad didn't contain great steak?
  15. What if the majority of our production were consumed within the United States. Would a net trade imbalance with the rest of the world matter as much?
  16. Weaver has averaged 19.3 minutes per game at Texas. I'm pretty sure some of the stat junkies can point out some reason why he has gotten exactly as much playing time as he deserves, but my eyes tell me the team does better when he's on the court. I hope Miller can find a way to play him more.
  17. $3.9M over four years plus incentives (lol). $900K in year 1, escalating to $1.05M in year 4. Buyout is the base salary, so barring a firing for cause, the dude will make $3.9M to suck ass.
  18. Imagine how much better they'd be had they just hired David Pierce.
  19. I was being a bit hyperbolic, but the fact remains that there aren't as many knowledgeable coaches for some of the more esoteric events. I had to find some youtube videos to show my son about triple jump basics, there was nobody on staff who knew anything. It wasn't related to being ignored, he was the team's top scorer, best sprinter and the anchor on the 4x100. He got plenty of sprint training because the coaches knew those events. Regarding the topic at hand: I saw kids from different teams hang out togther on a regular basis. They get to know each other pretty well over the course of a season.
  20. I'm nearly positive that was Anna on bass last night.
  21. Honestly, I wasn't blown away by Isbell tonight. Turn it up, dude. It was a pretty aloof set. I remain gobsmacked by the guy's lyrics, but as a rock band, eh. That wasn't great.
  22. I don't get less straight when I see a photo of Rosie O'Donnell. Suck it up, buttercup.
  23. It's not logical, but after our run of pretty effective big men I'm getting tired of not having them. Not that there aren't other ways to build a team, but it just feels like we always have a weakness down low.
