Getting a Saturday ticket today is a non-starter. Do they release more down the line?
  2. Well what does that make YOU, smart guy?
  3. Yeah, I get it. Don't pay any attention to me, I'm just not a big Pixies fan but I'd like to see them again. His voice annoys me. Kim's voice intrigues me.
  4. Well, that sucks. Kim is pretty much the only part of that band I really like. (Not a Black Francis fan.)
  5. I'm pretty sure @Beau Vine was one of the organizers.
  6. My layman's take on this hysteria is that not only do those freaking out fail to understand that there is a difference between gender and sex, but that they are talking about biological sex when they use the word "gender". Basically, to them it's either dick and balls or it's vagina, uterus and ovaries. There are no other options (even though there are many many different manifestations of sexual organs in the human population). They're ignorant, but again, they're supremely confident in their ignorance, and the incurious bigoted and fearful base laps it up.
  7. BUT THEY HAD A GENTELMEN'S AGREEMENT!1!!1!
  8. Looks like we're probably headed to Atlanta in September for the Shaky Knees festival. I see The Pixies are playing on Friday -- anyone know if that's the original band lineup?

I've seen them both, but it looks like I'll get to see Modest Mouse and The Heavy Heavy on weekend one, so that's cool. I'd rather miss seeing the Florida game than the OU game. (Yeah, I know they have a screen. It's always a zoo.)
  10. Who exactly is arguing that Quinn Ewers possessed "greatness"?
  11. Without getting into the differences between sex and gender here, I always hope that someone will ask people like Mace "how do you identify gender for all 6 non-fatal sex chromosomal variations (XX/XY/XXY/XYY/X/XXXY)"? It must be nice travelling through this world with such supremely confident ignorance.
  12. What's insane is the fact that you get offended when people don't agree with your degree of criticism. You paint those people as "Quinn could do no wrong" supporters, when that's not at all true, at least in the vast majority of cases. I think most here acknowledge his flaws. Furthermore, when people point out other failings of other Longhorns you push back as if those failures didn't happen or you assert how they're a natural consequence of Quinn's play. This is not personal, it's a question of the lopsidedness of your arguments, along with those of a few others.
  13. It's not moot. What sort of learning disability do some of you have where you simply cannot understand that there were multiple contributing factors to our bad play? Some of you idiots probably get mad when a hitter fails to get on base half the time.
  14. Does that guy's snare drum not have any . . . snares?
  15. I have no interest in digging further, and I'm sure there are other examples on other talented teams, but Matthew Golden and Andrew Mukuba weren't even on the 2023 team (2024 draft). (This is not to say we didn't have great players or anything like that.)
  16. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? We got beat by two very talented teams. It takes 22 guys (well, 24+) not 1 guy. This thread is fucking stupid.
  17. Just like the facts I posted. My point stands, we got beat by extremely talented teams. Disagree?
  18. I haven't listened to Styx since 1980, but I can attest that they kick Twenty One Pilots' asses even today. Does BTS have a great drummer, too?
  19. I'm pretty sure the many covid vaccines I've already received are in those records. Besides, I wouldn't mind the food in Libya.
  20. Let's take a look at the two teams that knocked us out of the playoffs: UW 2024: 10 drafted (3 in the 1st round) Ohio State 2025: 14 drafted (4 in the 1st round) Texas 2024: 11 drafted (2 in the 1st round) Texas 2025: 12 drafted (3 in the 1st round) For those not keeping score at home, that's 24-23 picks (opponents v Texas) and 7-5 1st round picks. We were in pretty high cotton in those games.
  21. Holy crap, that's Phoebe Hunt! I knew her years ago here in Austin, and have always wondered what happened to her. She played with a friend's son in an acoustic-y band called The Hudsons. Talented gal.
