  1. I swear no CR. I'm just putting this here because the Vatican appointed rep in Israel is named Pierbattista Pizzaballa. https://apnews.com/article/christians-easter-attacks-netanyahu-jerusalem-e287dd6bad32573d1656eaea07223782
  2. I just discovered this thread a few weeks ago so if I'm way behind forgive me. I don't have a pic of it but one of my favorite small/ carry guns is CZ83. 14 shot, all steel. A lot of people laugh at a .380 but it's very accurate at up to 25 yards and handles hollow points very well. Am I alone in my liking some of the older auto's?
  3. Real truck drivin' men
  4. I should put this in a thread called "Stuff my wife puts up with" thread if there was one. We went to dinner Friday to celebrate our 40th anniversary, a couple of days early. While we were eating I realized I hadn't bought a card yet and we were travelling Saturday and Sunday. So I told her we needed to stop on the way home so I could buy her a card. She said "well I already have yours". I told her I had been busy, so if she wanted one we better stop. She said "well I need a couple of things, so OK." And she really meant it, no sarcasm or anger. I think if I had done this while we were dating, there wouldn't have been a 40th.
  5. I was so disappointed when Paladin Press went out of business but with the internet you don't need a hardcopy of how to make C4. And years ago I downloaded of copy of Secrets of the Ninja. So I know how to walk on gravel without making a sound except for the grinding of all my joints, which sounds like me walking on gravel.
  6. The answer is don't tell her what you spend and use cash. My wife spends $ 30-$50 a week at outlet stores on useless crap but will get mad if I drop $150 on things she deems unnecessary. So I keep a big wad of cash hidden to buy whatever I want without the bitching.
  7. Call this guy. He always seemed to help Tokyo out whenever he wasn't trying to destroy it.
  8. I skipped around the video so I might have missed it but I think there were pics of a guy in a john boat with a little outboard motor that was being pulled in the sinkhole. Somehow he was able to get out of the whirlpool and get to land before it sucked him in.
  9. No clue, I just know it was east of Beach St on the north side of Lancaster in an old row of buildings. It was a real tiny place, not to be confused with the bigger one across the street on the south side.
  10. Yeah buddy! Nothing like the baby kicking you for a little extra sensation while your poundin' a pregnant stranger!
  11. 40 or so years ago, when totally nude places first started opening, we went to a low rent place on East Lancaster in Fort Worth. There was some chick dancing there that was at least 6-8 months pregnant. The amount of guys turned on by that and giving her money was disturbing. It was vomit worthy disgusting.
  12. All the sugar of Cap'n Crunch and it keeps you moving too!
  13. I've got streaming TV at work. I'm working on quotes watching the Adams Family. Morticia thinks Gomez is going to marry another woman and is trying to subtly convince him it's wrong. Morticia: Gomez, do you know the penalty for bigamy? Gomez: Yes! You're married to two women.
  14. I'm pretty sure if we all focused on the money first, the pussy would come to us.
  15. I believe this is the commemorative nut sack.
  16. I was going to put this in the Shit my kids says thread but it's not really my kids so I'm putting it here. I volunteer in Destination Imagination, a creative problem solving challenge for kids. I've been doing it 20+ years. The kids are given challenges and then told to come up with creative ways to solve said challenges, including creating stories, building props and machines to perform given task. I went to the state tournament this weekend and there were probably 3000+ kids there 1st-12th grade. There were 18 middle school teams in our section. I won't bore you with the details of what they had to do but 2 gems fell under "things that kids say". In the first group the device failed to work. We were talking to the kids about it and one of the girls, about 12 yo said (with a lot of hand gestures) "We used it for 4 weeks and it worked every time. But we bring it to state and it looks at us square in the eyes and says, SCREW YOU, I'm not working today." The second gem had nothing to do with their machine but with their skit. The main points in there story: It took place in Alabama, the brother was too stupid to remember his own name, his sister was a pregnant teen, she faked the pregnancy for attention and the moral of the story told by the brother was "never trust your ex-wife" implying that he was married to and got his sister pregnant.
  17. In 2007 Washington State threatened to sue and forced Abilene Cooper to change their mascot logo because they were too similar.
  18. The one thing I don't understand is fighting barefoot. It seems like half these fight have people with no shoes on wailing on someone. If someone comes at me barefooted, the first thing I'm going to do is stomp on their foot until their toes look like flattened Vienna sausages. To hell with wasting your time and energy throwing punches.
  19. LOL. When I mentioned I played the pipes in another thread, I learned about two kinds of people. Those who love the pipes and those who said they would run you over while you were playing if they got the chance.
  20. https://www.kansascity.com/news/local/crime/article268664592.html I agree that the never ending circle of violence is bad but after reading this, I can't say they both don't deserve some retribution.

    Getting old sucks

As of Saturday I officially lived longer than my mother (died at 54) and father (63). I hate that I now often have body parts that will hurt for no reason. But I wasn't sure I would make it this long, so while it sucks, it's a blessing too.
  22. Seems appropriate now
  23. Sounds like an accident should happen that would make it "irrepairable".
  24. Mine has done this with FB games and the Hallmark channel (with an occasional trip to HGTV). She is streaming some dumbass show called Drop Dead Diva whose story line is so stupid I can't even explain it. She works from home and when I walk in she is watching it until she goes to bed. I told her she was wasting the rest of her life watching tv, playing meaningless games and then received the alternative you mentioned.........
