  1. Um, prosecuting people simply because they are undocumented is also illegal. Nice going Florida man attorney
  2. Your professional opinion on layoffs at ESPN?
  3. If that's actually how the provision in the constitution reads - and if it's not addressed elsewhere - then that phrase is so vague it's practically meaningless.
  4. Meh, we're not far from that disqualifier being ruled unconstitutional. https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/02/politics/domestic-violence-guns-fifth-circuit/index.html

    High

Yeah, I think that was always going to be the case. Market was flooded with companies when everything went legal. High costs associated with the business aren't helping either. In CA, there seems to be a pretty large contingent of people who are so pissed at the taxes you have to pay at the counter, that they continue to only shop on the black market. I think its thriving out here. Considering I used to pay $60 for an eighth from some random guy back in the day, the prices seem pretty reasonable to me. Shit, I bought a half ounce last week for $70. That's going to last me months. I'm more than willing to pay the extra at the counter for the convenience and peace of mind that comes from buying from reputable companies. Even more so with the cartridges. I assume any one of those not purchased at a licensed dispensary is just straight Vitamin E with some liquid cannabis smoke added for taste.
  6. Wait til he hears about the hearsay rules
  7. Because those were the ones created by Hugo Chavez
  8. Not sure where else to put this: https://ourtallahassee.com/florida-prosecutors-racism-policy-leaked/

  10. I'm not sure what argument you're making. I posted the article as a follow up to 2 articles posted last week - one from NY Times and one from LA Times - that quoted 5 random tech execs to show that the city is embroiled in violence. It was more of a criticism of the legacy media as opposed to a political attack.

  12. Perhaps worth noting that it only says "no offer of immunity was brought to clients in 2022." Not sure that's the way I'd phrase my pleading if the offer was NEVER brought.
  13. Nah, lets just lower the driving age to 14 and do away with driving tests
  14. in 2020, there were only 45,000 people killed by guns in the US. To put that in perspective, there are over 3.5 million square miles in the US.
  15. Not so fast. "HAHA! This article says that he was shot with a 9mm round, but as we all know, the Browning XC-643 does not handle 9mm ammo."
  16. yeah, after seeing how fast Abbot scrambled to pardon a white-supremacist murderer, I'd be shocked if this coach isn't appointed to the position of superintendent.
  17. Based on what? Are you familiar with real estate in that part of the country? Serious question. The article implies it was not FMV: It’s unclear if Crow paid fair market value for the Thomas properties. Crow also bought several other properties on the street and paid significantly less than his deal with the Thomases. One example: In 2013, he bought a pair of properties on the same block — a vacant lot and a small house — for a total of $40,000.
  18. Yes, the body of the articles pushes back on the 5 millionaire's claims that the city is a cesspool of violence. I'm wondering why it was framed that way in the first place? Its lazy, clickbait journalism at best. Especially when "SF is dangerous and violent!" is a right-wing talking point used to illustrate that Dems cannot be trusted to run a city. NY Times Pitchbot explains it better:
  19. This has been a pretty revealing episode for how the media - yes, even the "liberal" ones - carries water for Wall St. and capital. Both the NY Times and the LA Times ran pieces with the following headlines in the immediate wake of the stabbing: Stabbing of Cash App Creator Raises Alarm, and Claims of ‘Lawless’ San Francisco Cash App founder killed in San Francisco stabbing, reigniting concerns over violent crime San Francisco is not IN THE TOP 25 cities when it comes to violent crime. Given the headlines though, one wonders how they reached this conclusion that SF is consumed with violence and that fear is reflected in their citizens? The LA Times quoted 2 tech executives - Elon Musk and MobilCoin CEO Joshua Goldbard. That was it. That was their basis to support the headline above. The NY Times quotes 3 people to support their "claims of 'lawless San Francisco." They are: Elon Musk, Matt Ocko (tech entrepreneur and venture capitalist in Palo Alto, Calif). and Roy Bahat (head of the venture firm Bloomberg Beta) Is that good journalism? To amplify obvious political talking points from billionaires as representative of a city? TechBros, heal thyselves
  20. So, what are your hobbies? Well, I'm very active in an online message board community. Oh, that's cool. Have you made friends through this message board? Oh no. They absolutely fucking hate me and say mean things to me every time I post. In fact, they've asked me to leave 5 times, but what can I say, I'm a sucker for looking like a clown.
