  1. Yeah, dude's a motherfucking baller
  2. You're a chump if you're still buying into this bullshit
  3. I've seen this before. That kid grows up to be Batman, so overall its a positive event.
  4. I haven't read any of the filings, so I'll take you at your word, but you're reading is that Trump's legal team has or soon will concede that some of the highly classified materials are not subject to any privilege and they will not object at this time to the govt retaining them? The meat of the govt's case in a possible future indictment?
  5. My guess is that DOJ feels like investigation and possibly indictment can go on with just those 100 documents. It would be like a drug bust wherein cops recovered all sorts of potentially incriminating items (scales, logs, money, etc.) and defendants moved to have property returned or moved to enjoin gov't from using items during the prosecution of the case. Its the gov't saying, "ok, fine. but we're going to proceed with the 3 kilos of cocaine we found in the closet."
  6. Was at a barbershop downtown today and while waiting for my turn in the chair, I flipped through a hardbound book of 100 years of LA Times front pages.

For those regular users, is there a certain amount of time you need to stop all THC intake before your body kinda resets? I'm now taking 30mg edibles and I'm starting to not feel much of an effect. Hoping to get things back to where I can take 15-20mg and be golden. Daily user fwiw
  8. I spent all weekend at a beach in California. Not a single Biden flag, Tshirt, or bumper sticker. How'd the Texas beaches look this weekend? Probably no Trump stuff visible, right?
  9. I'd also note that California is typically dry, so nights typically get cool. Even when temps are over 100 during the day, its normal for temps to drop into the low 70s and high 60s at night. That has not happened this heat wave. So, ACs have been running all night, when usually they cease after 10 pm. The state is getting more and more humid as the climate changes, so this is something we will have to get used to. The days of living near-ish the coast without AC and white-knuckling the handful of hot days a year are over.
  10. Looks like you're right. That's wild.
  11. Its been 100+ in LA for the last seven days, with temps breaking 110 in the valleys. Even in LA, especially on the westside, there are hundreds of thousands of homes/apartments without AC. Never needed it before. That's going to have to change. One of the issues with this heat wave is that is state-wide. No relief on the coasts or in the North. FWIW, I'd argue California has weathered this heat event pretty well. They called off the rolling blackouts that had been scheduled, and it appears that the homes without power are unrelated to the demand but some other issue that is being addressed. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2022/09/06/california-heat-wave-power-outages-possible/7999417001/

  13. Im going to preemptively address the common misconception that the line "first thing we do is kill all the lawyers" from Shakespeare's Henry VI, was not in fact an attack on lawyers, but an acknowledgement that lawyers are necessary for the continuation of the rule of law. Carry on, @TwiceHorn
  14. How Fox News works? Not well:
  15. I reached this point shortly after the "raid" on Mar-a-lago. Higher risk-reward, though, than him simply kicking the bucket this week.
  16. Wait I want to hear more about that guy's fantasy football championships
  17. how does the appointment of a master work? Who picks? Who's in the pool?
