    Longhorn Network

Yea, what the hell does 'fold' mean here? Sounds more like close down, but I'm all for making an SEC West Network out of Austin and an SEC East Network out of, trusting you here, Charlotte. Imagine the aggy melt down if they see their games on a network based in Austin.
  2. Just posting this to get us closer to that 8th or 10th post containing the case.
  3. YES! It will be Cock Commander. Cluck Norris made me chuckle, but that's only appropriate for a Texas based team.

Go to a bar for the ULM game or switch to Sling.
  5. Top 44? We're supposed to care ?

If you like this stuff, this is their best work - after LSU spanked OU in the Dec 2019 Peach Bowl
  7. The FWAA does still exist. With the advent of the CFP, the FWAA automatically declares the CFP winner as national champion. So you're right that the publication doesn't vote anymore on a champ, but they're still around. However, nobody should be counting 1958 Iowa as a national champion.
  8. While your comment makes sense to fans, it doesn't necessarily make sense to TV executives. I can see Fox telling USC to have one 9am local game to see how the ratings do. Maybe the whole country watches Ohio St at USC with a 9am PT kickoff...
  9. "On Sept. 29, 2007, in a ceremony at a game vs. USC, Washington made an official claim to the 1960 national championship." https://gohuskies.com/sports/2020/12/21/uw-football-national-championships.aspx See original comment: "Any retro-actively claimed title. If your administration at the time didn't think you won it, you most certainly didn't." Since 2007 is a different year than 1960, it fits the criteria.
  10. Yes, very yes, and well, BU had a good 2021.
  11. Any retro-actively claimed title. If your administration at the time didn't think you won it, you most certainly didn't. Here's looking at you, Texas A&M, Alabama, Washington, and Oklahoma State just off memory. Second, 1974 OU. On probation so ineligible for a bowl game or the Coaches Poll. Fuck cheaters and fuck OU.
  12. I can also live with that. Pick whoever you want for the other two losses. Bama and ULM lets Texas go undefeated in conference play but makes for a very shitty September. BU and OSU are realistic losses but might keep us out of the CCG (say BU only loses to OSU and OSU only loses to OU).
  13. How about ... Would y'all still take 9-3 right now, if one of the three losses was UTSA?
  14. 9-3 is very optimistic. Way more than I am.
  15. I'm sure Kyler will do his four hours like I do my conference calls - with the video open in the background but surly open in the foreground.
  16. Allegiant must be expensive if the league hasn't signed it yet.
  17. Is this going to the Olympics within the decade?
  18. Well, you know where Kliff attended college so....
  19. JJ is good. Anyone figure out how twitter decides an image of shoes deserves the "The following media includes potentially sensitive content." message?
  20. Are those from shutterstock?
  21. Too close to the neighbor's house for my liking. That's why I only bid on entire Hawaiian islands like Larry Ellison.
  22. Of course we are. Everyone loves to blame the best.
  23. Using 2025 numbers, I have SEC: 16 Big 10: 16 ACC: 14 Big 12: 12 Pac-12: 10 Notre Dame For a total of 69 teams. The five to dump (just thinking football) are what? Wake Forest, Rutgers, Kansas, Duke, Syracuse?
  24. I can't fathom being so bad that a team would pick Watson with his legal situation AND pay $10M for you to leave.
  25. Maybe I should have said "Stanford and/or Cal." It doesn't make sense to me to expand west and skip the whole state of California. Utah can't provide much as the Big 12 is already getting BYU. Don't need both Arizona and ASU to claim the state for TV markets. So why not initially target UW UO CU One of Zona or ASU One of Stanford or Cal Another Pac-12 school - If this is ASU or Utah, it's still after a California-based school
