  1. Ok - that is cool as shit.
  2. To be fair, he said he wound not go to ONE happy hour, not that he would never go to a HH/Dinner. He had plans already, no boss should expect a employee to choose a happy hour event over family. That is entirely different from some emergency that he needs to do work for. I was the the visiting exec/director on many trips, I always invited the local team to dinner and I never gave two shits if they said they had a previous obligation and could not go and I sure as shit could not imagine making not going to a happy hour a career shiter.
  3. Times are changing, it was always like that for me in the tech industry but now more and more people are taking the stance that work time and home time should not interfere with each other, with unemployment so low and the great resignation happening employees have the leverage to do so. It seems much healthier to me then how I worked my career (24/7)
  4. I go to Northland regularly, it’s a great group. There are lots of newcomers in meetings right now he will feel welcomed.
  5. Today my friend, I am not having a drink . None of us are going to be able to predict what happens in your future, but I can tell you with 100% certainty if you don’t want to drink you don’t have to. You can be amazingly happy not drinking, I was always afraid life would not be “as fun” without a drink, that was a trick my mind played on me. I went to Orlando with my family last week, had a day by the pool, went to the parks, and it was great (and if anything can drive you to drink it’s Disney). I was there for my family (really there), and I can honestly say me not drinking, made it a better time for my wife, two kids, and ME.
  6. Glad you are here, talking about it and listening to others stories. Maybe embrace the “NOT drinking isn’t hard” for awhile, It’s free to try and you can always go back to drinking. My guess is you will find that anger, frustration and stress much more manageable when you are not drinking.
  7. Wal-Mart is supposed to have PS5s at 11am central if anyone is still looking?
  8. I am in the process of getting one from Soto & Co here in Austin. So far it has been a good experience, still need to get one more fitting done. Lot’s of pictures of former Longhorn’s in his shop on the wall in his suits.
  9. I did a search but did not find one related to Switzerland. The wife and I are going next week for a Wedding, flying into/out of Geneva. Spending 1 night in Interlaken, 2 nights in Ascona, and 3 nights in Geneva. I have only been once before for work, looking for recommendations on anything that is can’t miss and any restaurants to hit up.
  10. DIRECTVstream or whatever it is called now has LHN and is streaming. Spring game is NEXT Saturday.
  11. With the amount of these raises I don’t think we will ever catch up, its going to be 10% forever. We are planning a kitchen remodel this year so next year I am going to get fucked for all of it, sigh. Makes me rethink the whole thing and just moving to the country.
  12. Here is a direct link to the search - https://stage.travis.prodigycad.com/property-search
  13. Up a smooth 89%. HS capped it at 10% but damn…
  14. I am impressed with the IRS speed, they were able to deduct the money from my checking account less then 24 hours after filing. I am sure those fuckers would takes months if I was due a refund.
  15. Click on “returns and orders” in the top right hand corner. Find the order in the list displayed of your recent orders. Click on “problem with order” and the prompts will help you from there.
  16. Just completed our “voyage” this morning. It is a pretty amazing experience, it is basically being fully immersed in Galaxy’s edge for 2 days. But with a multiple story lines to follow along with. You can be as engaged as you want, or just watch and the story moves along for you. Some people fully dressed up with character back story, most kids dressed up some, most adults were just in normal clothes following along. The coolest part is the use of technology, to keep track of what you have done, what you have seen, and who you have talked to (RFID, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi beacons are all being used). It allows everyone in your group to experience a unique story.
  17. Looks good, now take that meat out of the cast iron and fry those corn tortillas up in that fat, yum….
  18. Thats a good price and agree, if it sucks Costco will take it back. Worth trying out for sure.
  19. That’s exactly why you do, to protect for future years. Otherwise your taxes will go up 10% a year until your HS catches up with the appraisal.
  20. Parking selection and the chance to move seats looks to either have started or starts next week (! have a time on Monday) and runs through May 6th.
  21. Make sure your company updated with AT&T your new phones info. I have seen cases where people just transfer a SIM to a new phone assuming it will work, and it mostly does. But weird things like this happen.
  22. One more Ryobi vote - I am actually about to buy another one (1800 psi). It is not enough power for really scrubbing a driveway but for cars and quick cleans it would be great. This is a really good deal at Home Depot right now - https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-1800-PSI-1-2-GPM-Cold-Water-Electric-Pressure-Washer-RY141802VNM/317623149
  23. Great job both of you, keep it up. moby, the first time I sobered up it was for a year and I lost 30lbs but….most of that weight actually started coming off after 3-4 months when my body had adjusted to life with out alcohol.
